How do I get the high quality audio service to show on a Dell X30? I don't know how to apply the cab files.
Thanks for any help!
copy the cab files onto your x30 and click on it in file explorer and it will automatically install. Soft reset the X30 and it the high quality audio profile should now be in the list.
High quality audio on BT - connection failed
Thanks! - I did that - after putting the headphones in pairing mode (blinking red and blue), now it shows the service in Bluetooth manager. It gets as far as asking for the pairing code, I type in 0000,
then it fails, saying 'unable to establish a connection. Please make sure the device is enabled and in range. Also verify
that the requested service is available."
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks again!
I had to disable the security and authentication on the XDAIIs to get it to work.
Cheers,
AP.
Still no go
It ALMOST works - I've disabled the authentication and encryption for the BT connection, but it still does not find the service on
the headphones during pairing. Is there anything else I can do?

Guys,
Where can i get a bluetooth stack that have A2DP stack on it so that i can use it on my stereo bluetooth headset for audio....
Try this
ftp://xda:[email protected] 3500/Broadcom Corporation BT-PPC AV.cab
In combinbation with bt 1.0.0.3900
ftp://xda:[email protected] Upgrades/BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab
Works fine on my pda.
I tried the first cab and it broke my today screen! The wallpaper is black behind PocketBreeze and scrambled behind iLauncher. Weird. Soft reset doesn't help.
I already had BT 3900 so I didn't use the second cab.
Oh wait, today screen problem solved! I switched wallpapers and then switched back to the original, it's fine now. I'll submit this post anyway for reference if it happens to someone else.
Anyway, the A2DP profile is there all right, so thanks Vastloper!
thanks. but the link seems not working....
my fault
it works now
I tried the 1st link, but it made no difference.
how to check if I managed to have a2dp profiles on my sx66?

In Bluetooth Manager, select "new connection". There should be a new option in the list called "High quality audio". Use that to connect to your headset.
Did you download the .cab file and run it on your device? You have to download it, copy it to your pocket pc and run it by tapping on it in file manager. If you did all this and still don't have the High quality audio option, I have no idea what could be wrong.
By the way, once you've managed to install the patch: if you have a ROM version with Windows Media Player 10, you may want to read this thread.

It worked perfectly, in my configuration menu, i have the high quality option.
Anyone had trouble actually making an A2DP connection work with these mods?
The A2DP profile is there, and seems to have all the right stuffs, but actually making it connect to my earphones (sony DR-BT20NX) is proving an issue.
Thus far ive only managed a normal HSP hands free style connection.
Such a waste.

Awesome!
Thanks, this worked like a charm although I did have to perform a Hard Reset first. I can now listen to stereo sound through my Oakley O Rokr sunglasses and use my hands-free headset.

I downloaded and installed

"Hi guys. Can anybody tell me how do I connect to a bluetooth headest manually through WM 6.0?
I understand that WM6.0 is supposed to do it automatically, but it doesnt . There has GOT to be a way for me to sync the TyTnII with my bluetooth headset manually.
My headset is Jabra320s (piece of crap), and it does not allow me to connect to the TyTnII manually through the headest because there is no menu LCD on the headset. Therefore, in order to connect my TyTnII and my Jabra manually, this must be done though the phone."

even though it is pair'd, when i goto the bluetooth connects scree (device tab) there are no options to connect. the only options that come up are "edit, delete, set as hands-free, set as wireless stereo". theres no connect option. so i cannot tell it to connect....
sometime sit connects automatically, sometimes it simply doesnt, no matter how many times i restart it or the headset. sometimes even when i RE-PAIR it, it still does not connect."
I'm trying to connect my phone (ATT HTC Tilt) with a stereo bluetooth headset or trying to send files and everytime I scan for new devices it gives me an error stating "PROBLEM WITH BLUETOOTH HARDWARE"
Additionally, the "Turn on Bluetooth" option always turns off automatically....
What is going on? Can anyone help?
Please...
Anyone who experienced this or can give me a hand? Thanks!!
I had this same problem all of a a sudden on my Kaiser. But after doing a hard reset this got resolved.
And now i just flashed Dutty's 6.1 ROM. Its amazing update..
Cheers
Thanks Arun...
Tried the hard reset NO LUCK! Problem persists, and bluetooth keeps turning off. I go back to the wireless manager and check both boxes and they come back off in 30 seconds!!
When searching for devices it says (ERROR: PROBLEM WITH BLUETOOTH HARDWARE)
Not able to beam or receive files at all.
Any help? Thanks so much!!
Same Problem
Running into same problem here. I haven't even updated the ROM from stock yet, although I have done the JumpSPL step (cuz I received the white screen). My Radio is 1.27.14.09.
Any help is appreciated.
I would think that if you have done a hard reset and you don't install anything and you still have a problem then you **** is borked. time to do a warranty exchange.
has your bluetooth ever worked, with the rom that is currently on your phone?
Problem with Bluetooth Hardware!!!!
I am having the same problem. I have the stock AT&T ROM. Here is exactly what is happening:
The bluetooth is not working on my Tilt at all. It has lost connections with devices that it was already paired with (a Motorola Q Global and a headset). All attemps to pair the devices again lead to the following: "Error: Problem with Bluetooth Hardware".
When I go to Bluetooth Settings through the Comm Manager, then Mode and check "Turn on Bluetooth" and "Make this device visible to other devices", it unchecks as soon as I exit the settings menu. The Comm Manager constantly shows the bluetooth being off and when I tap the icon, the phone "thinks" for awhile and then it greys out again.
The only change that I have made from the time that it was working is to install the iphone package, and a today plugin (which I have since uninstalled) found here.
I recently changed my Kaiser Tweak bluetooth settings: I changed the BitPool from 'medium' to 'very high', but my headset was still working after that. The other settings are:
Sample Rate - 48000 (Advised)
Use Joint Stereo - Enabled (Default)
Receive Files - Enabled
Any ideas/suggestions?

They only way to fix the problem was for me to do a hard reset.
Hi All,
I just got a Jabra SP700 after pairing it with my Kaiser everything works fine ( making a call, receiving a call, Playing music through FM radio and TT navi. through the radio). The problem is when I disconnect the devices and turn them both on they will reconnect automatically but I can't hear anything through the SP700 ( FM Radio ). I will have to delete the device from the phone and pair it again in order to make it work.
Is there a better software for managing the bluetooth connections?
Open to any suggestions.
Thanks.

I have the same problem with my SP700 and my Tritton BT stereo headset.Phone calls work almost all the time through the SP700 speaker, but playing music or through the FM radio seems to be a problem. I can get them to pair up sometimes by only checking the Wireless Stereo box. It works for a few times, but then I have to delete and re-pair again.
I've searched for all over for answers, but nothing seems to be a permanent fix. It's very frustrating to use my devices for anything else but phone calls.
Just to add a bit of info, I do not have any problems with my old Motorola HS820. Of course, I'm not using SP700.
Hope that helps your troubleshooting.
I have exactly the same problem with hte SP700 connecting to a Touch HD.
I notice there is a software upgrade for the SP700 on the Jabra site but I can't get to apply it because I lack a driver to allow the PC to recognise the JAbra SP 700.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Possible solution
Hi
I have had similar problems with the SP700. I was using the Hyperdragon III before the current ROM (in signature). With my old ROM I found that the following method worked:
1) Turn on the SP700
2) Wait for it to make one low tone
3) Turn bluetooth onto discoverable mode on the phone
4) The device then automatically connects over both Hands Free and Wireless Stereo protocols
5) Turn discoverable off
Now that I have the Hyperdragon IV ROM I notice slightly different behaviour:
1) Turn on the SP700
2) Wait for it to make one low tone
3) Turn bluetooth onto discoverable on the phone
4) The device then automatically connects over hands free protocol
5) Go into bluetooth settings on the phone then the devices tab and manually connect by selecting "Set as Wireless Stereo" from the pop up context menu- this connects over the wireless stereo protocol
6) Turn discoverable off
One thing I do find very annoying about the SP700 is that it disconnects from the Wireless Stereo protocol after a phone call is ended. When this happens I have to manually re-connect it by pushing the button on the SP700 until it peeps.
I too would value a software upgrade for the SP700. I just get the feeling that it has somehow shipped with a beta or incomplete firmware. If anybody knows how to do the firmware upgrade please share this.
Thanks

Found a solution that works for me!
First of all thanks guys for the suggestions !
I think SP700 works fine ( GREAT! ) but the issue is with the A2DP. I found out that A2DP turns on the first time after pairing the devices but it does not turn off. So the next time you pair the devices it is turned on and won't accept the new connection. So what I tried to do was after connecting I turned off A2DP and turned it back on and it works fine.
Suggestion
Search for A2DP Toggle, install it and after pairing the devices if it doesn't work just turn A2DP off and back on.
I assigned the 6th hardware button on my Kaiser (PTT Button) to A2DP Toggle that way I can have access to it all the time.
Works great.

Thanks! Nice App! Tried it with my Tritton BT stereo headset and it works! Had to install to my device instead of Storage card, then had to delete and re-pair, but it so far I can toggle between on and off Stereo Headphones without any problem. Will try on my SP700 shortly.
I attached the Cab if anyone else wants it.
Thank you!

When the software loads, follow the instructions, do not install with any of the microsoft wizards that pop up, it will install itself. I couldn't find anything that lists what changes that were made.
SP700 Firmware
FYI,
I too had the same issues and downloaded the sp700 firmware update. I thought the same thing about the drivers, but called Jabra and they told me the firmware update has the drivers embedded in it. When you start the install you cannot plug it in till it tells you to. After you plug it in it installs the drivers. But BEWARE I have not been able to complete the upgrade, it stopped halfway and bricked. I called support and they said there is nothing to do, but luckily I bought it from Costco and they returned it. So being not so bright I tried it again but on a different computer (thinking that there might be a conflict) and it didn't even load and bricked it again. So I returned it yet again. So then I gave up on Jabra support and found A2DP toggle. It works good enough, so I am leaving it at that....
Take Care

I have the exact problem that you are having with the new, Hyperdragon IV, ROM.
Is this A2DP Toggle really the only way - I mean what's the difference between pressing a button on my Kaiser to reconnect and pressing the button on the SP700 ??
I have tried using Mortscript as shown http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382172&highlight=a2dp&page=2 Although I edited the end out because it kills the player after ending a call. This hasn't helped either
I am off to see if the same problems occur with my lady's N96. If not and no good solution can be found for this I may have got her a new present.
Aren't I nice ?!
Found another possible solution, it,s called zoA2DP. So far it works flawlessly between my SP700 & stereo headset without having to toggle anything or change any settings. When you install it, delete your original pairings and add them again, make sure that hands free & wireless stereo are checked in advanced options on you BT settings. I believe this is a registry mod, there are no icons or any noticeable applications running in the backround.
The thread is here

Cab file attached
A number of people have mentioned having issues with A2DP streaming on the Nexus.
I just found out something interesting... I've been getting annoying skips in music when playing audio to my car stereo, so after experimenting I've found:-
Open bluetooth settings, select headunit, enter pin, allow phonebook access and for the duration of that connection I get perfect audio.
Turn off either the headunit or phone, or both and allow them to connect again, then audio skips...
Open bluetooth settings, select headunit, unpair, select headunit, enter pin, allow phonebook access and for the duration of that connection, once again I get perfect audio.
The only thing I can think of is that the good connection is initiated by the N1 and the bad one by the headunit when it connects to the N1 at startup. Maybe capability negotiation problem? Maybe N1 selects a lower bitrate when it connects than the headunit does when it connects, any ideas? Is it possible to tweak the N1 to restrict the connection parameters?
- Anthony
I use a HT820 by Motorola and do not have any issues with skipping.
Started stock, then CM, now froyo. no issues on any of these roms.
That's great, but whilst bluetooth is a standard, some manufacturers get things wrong, and motorola may well have handled this better, this handsfree kit worked with:-
Hermes,
TYTN II
Touch Pro,
Sony Xperia,
Diamond2.
The kit within my headunit is built by parrot, so no small fish in the bluetooth pond.... It has a little menu with a list of models of phone with "funny" (non-standard) bluetooth implementations so that it can implement workarounds.
To top it off, others, with different handsfree kits have similar issues.
So, back to what I was saying...
I've just confirmed that it doesn't matter which end initiates the connection, if the phone was paired previously it skips, if you unpair and re-pair (during pairing the phone is connected as part of that process) for the duration of that connection the sound is flawless.
It must be using different connection parameters on that first connection, but I can't even see _any_ information about the connections, like bitrate/bitpool / sample rate etc.
Is there any way I can get the connection information for current bluetooth connections?
Does anyone know the way around the AOSP code enough to see if there could be any difference in the pairing connection to the normal connections?
I bet it really is that it uses "safe" values during the initial connection.

I have the same headphones and only notice skipping when I'm walking fast, with my phone in my pocket...or I turn my head away from the phone. But that's all my doing, not the phone.
