Alpine pinout - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

I'm trying to make a carkit for a Alpine so i need the pinout of the bottom connector. Is it the same as the Himalaya?

They're similiar structually and in appearance, so i'd imagine they'd be the same. Don't quote me on that though

Hi, did you have any success?
Thanks...

I'm working out the details now, so when i have it working i'll let it know.

Bluetooth

Does XDA support bluetooth? is there any accessory available that can make this device work with other blutooth device?
No, it doesn't, and there's no way to make it do bluetooth. THe SD-card slot does not do SDIO, and the USB-port will only talk to computers, not to peripherals. Yes: this is annoying.

Yes its real, here in the States you can get it from $149.00. As a matter of fact I bought one last week and should have it in a few days. 8)
this uses a dongle to atch bluetooth trasmitter to ur xda via 2.5mm connector. and then u can use it with the bluetooth headset

I understand that the XDA has no SDIO and therefor is not compatible with any (existing) Bluetooth SD card -
BUT: would it be possible to use one of the USB printer cable replacement Bluetooth sets in order to have a Bluetooth connection between PC and XDA? From what I understand these sets should create a virtual, wireless USB connection which should be fine for ActiveSync... :?: [/b]

Someone Please Help - iGPS Wiring

Hey everyone, I'm trying to Wire a iGPS-180 for my SX56... the original wiring was for an iPAQ 3100-3700... I've got the pinouts for the SX56 but I was wondering if anyone knew what the pinout for an iPAQ 3100-3700 were? I'm tying to trace these wires so I know which one is which because the color codes given in another post do not match what I have.
Thanks,
MMC
One more thing... when I plug everything in and try to Enable GPS it gives me a communication error and says that in can't open communication port... I'm using OSTIA 3.25, Do I need a higher version?
Go to settings/connections and uncheck "beams" if it is checked you will have no com1 port which is the port the wired gps wants to use, also if you have a keyboard driver present you will need to disable the driver.
You're a frickn' Genius!!!! You just solved 24 hours of head scratching
THANKYOU!!!

Any Idea Bout This PDA ??

hey guyz....
does any one have any idea which pda is this ?? its not xdaII i or s for sure.....its no himalaya.......does not look like IIs (blueangel)
what do you guys say ?
looks like old hp ipaq like 13xx or something
Looks like an Ipaq 1910 series.
Looks like an HP 1910 to me...
Take a look at this.
HTH,
BGK
Whops... 8) Maybe I should reload opened pages before posting...
Ok its hp 1910 for sure.......is this an pda phone or just a pda ??
man it loooooks good....would love to get my hands on it if its a pda phone.......
Its a pda, it has no serial port, the only way to use gps is through the irda port. I had one of these and it made a brilliant tool for mp3 and watching films, very small and light, nice screen, sd card slot and very cheap. While on the subject, I had a box made for me that will accept a serial input from a gps and convert it to infrared, this is then transmitted to the ipaq through its own irda port. If anybody wants to buy it let me know. It is usable on other devices with irda port also.

Mono Sound via USB adaptor

All,
Just flashed to Solace v3.1 (which I LOVE, btw). Getting an odd issue, hoping maybe someone else can point me in the right direction.
I have an adapter that plugs into the USB port (originally from my Titan) that allows me to plug in both USB power and a headset. From there, I have an adapter that converts to 3.5mm, and a wire which I then plug into the aux-in of my car stereo.
Previously, this set-up worked flawlessly. After flashing to Solace, however, I only get mono sound (right channel only).
I asked in the Solace thread also, but no one else seems to have this issue (or haven't noticed. Sorry for cross posting!). Hoping that someone might have seen this problem in general before, or have a place I might try looking for a possible solution. I searched the entire registry for things like "balance", "stereo", "mono"...even looked at every single entry for "usb" without finding much in the way of a fix. Missing entry perhaps?
Really appreciate anything anyone can do to help at this point!
Damaged mini usb port?
I had the same problem with my Tilt. Although it only had the stock 6.1 rom (fluff free), I'm guessing the pins on your port are misaligned or broken. You soon may discover that it won't sync with your computer and shortly thereafter will not charge anymore.

[Q] 3.5 mm tv out cable - will it work?

Hello,
tried to find anything about it in the forum... just bought this cable:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270650208388&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
hoping it would work...
i am currently using perception 10.3 and firebird 2 v0.8 kernel, tried switching to the newest speedmmod kernel - didnt work.
is it a 2.2.1 issue? anyone got it to work?
Thank you,
Yossi
Different cables are hit or miss. Some cables just don't work even though they look identical to good ones.
i just want to know if anyone got it to work with any cable on 2.2.1, if so...what is your configuration? (ROM, Kernel...)
My son has a cable for his leapster gamepad. It works great on stock cog2.3b8 however the video (yellow) was actually one of the audio cables (I think red) so you may just need to swap connections around until you find one that works.... make sure to check the tv-out box in settings.
Those cables (in general, I didn't look at the ebay one you linked) work great. The quality is better in landscape mode. I use the one that I got with my Zune dock, it works great, and lined up correctly.
Hi,
a little more info... i ordered the original samsung cable. the seller assured me its a genuine product.
but it is for the i9000.
is there a chance we have a different mapping for the 3.5 mm connector???
Thank you,
Yossi
one more thing, can anyone check with a multimeter a cable that works, and tell me whre does the yellow plug connection go to in the 3/5mm connector?
mine is like this - the pin goes to the 3rd contact, and the ground goes to the fourth contact.
seems right to me...i dont know why it wouldn't work...
looks like a good quality cable too....
anyone has any idea?
Thanks.
Yossi
guys, on my search i found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741542
i have my cable set the way its mentioned here. can anyone confirm that this setup works with a captivate? not only i9000?
Thanks!
Yossi
