"Phone not ready -wait 15 seconds"

Hi all,
First post on this great site - keep up the good work!
I have an issue with my MDA Compact II - I've recently sacked my T-Mobile contract, and have a work contract with Orange, which I now use (I've used Lokiwiz to unlock the phone). Unfortunately my Orange SIM doesn't fully work on my MDA. I can make/receive calls with no problems, but whenever I try to send a text message, the following dialogue pops up:
"The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again."
Well, I could wait for 15 hours and it wouldn't change. I've removed the battery, and left that for an hour, still no difference. I've recently upgraded my ROM to see if that would make a difference - no joy. My current version:
ROM - 2.6.2.27 WWE
Any help would be appreciated - I'm having to use an exceedingly boring Nokia 6021 at the moment! I don't really want to resort to just using my MDA as a PDA! Cheers - let me know if you need further information to answer my question.

Worked for me.

Aparently, the SIM's used in a M3100 are designed specifically for these devices and later. Thats the official line from Orange...Just spoke to them for 45 minutes trying out 5 different devices and they have concluded its a "compatability issue"
I was using an M3100 SIM in an M600...although it DOES work in an E650...

Help Needed with Contacts

Hi Guys
I just got my new TyTN II on monday (also i am new to this forum) and i have just spent the last few days messing around with it.
The 1 problem i am having is with my contacts, I cant move them of my sim onto the handset. I am not even sure if i can do it.
Could you please help?

Hi guys, I feel forced to create this new thread.
I am very desesperate about my device.
I bought it on ebay, and it is locked to orange. I read many threads talking about unlock trinity, downloaded and runned "HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1".
It did not worked, I tried sometimes, so I gave it up and bought the unlock code, wich is sold on another site.
For my surprise, when I turned on the device( so I could insert the code ), this message came "you have tried 14 times, wait until timeout..."
I AM WAITING 4 DAYS AD NOTHING...
Please, can anyone help this brazilian newbee...

Is my Alpine Bricked? Please Help!!

Hi all and sorry if this question has been answered before but I am new to these forums and am not yet familiar with all the ways on how to search for what I am looking for.
Here is my tale of woe. Two weeks ago I bought an unused (still boxed) XDA IIi from an auction room. I didn't pay a lot for it and was happy with my purchase. I stuck my sim card in and away I went. I was having problems connecting to my home wireless network and wondered why this was happening. Reading a few posts on google many people said to upgrade the radio and things would be ok. I located an upgraded Rom 1.11.00 and proceeded to upgrade my PDA. Halfway through the update I got an error 150 message saying that my PDA could not be upgraded. I read up on this problem and was advised to do a hard reset and try again. Problem is that I cannot perform a hard reset, no matter how long I hold the power and reset buttons together. All I have showing on the screen is The version number 1.00.00 Is there a way of rescuing this device?

Would somebody explain what the process of SIM unlocking is for the MDA Compact IV ??

So I was gonna use OliNex's HTC Diamond Unlocker as its cheaper,
So I just put in my IMEI and pay and it sends me some software through e-mail right...
I was just wondering what the process is with this software, is it very easy to use? Like just sync the device and then run the program and then wait for it to complete or is it more complicated?
My phone is locked on T-Mobile and I'm wanting it on Orange as I have a few months left on my contract.
Any help would be appreciated, think Im gonna try and give it a go tonight as I cant right to play with the phone!

Just to let you's know I did it now and it worked fine...
Its just an exe file that you run and it has three processes that are all easy to follow onscreen!
Even a newby like me did it
