Dutch T-Mobile rom vs Dutch Qtek rom

I have an MDA Vario with the Dutch T-Mobile rom , and I want to change that to the Dutch Qtek rom .
Does the performance improve when I change and are there extra features on the Qtek rom ?
Can anyone give me the pro's and con's of such an upgrade ?

... no problems at all... my friends has a Vario and change the OS to Qtek..after the update he also updated the radio rom seperate to 1.12.10 i want to flash tomorrow seperate the radio rom to 1.13.10

Got the QTek NL ROM 1.3.7.10 as well. Works great! Also got the Qtek Radio 1.13.0 flashed seperatley.
I'm sure the latest T-mobile is the fastest at the moment, to bad I want my device to be Duthc
Think we probaly have to wait until march, heard that there will be a major update by than.. ..we'll see...

1.3.7.10 is dutch, Radio Rom is i think portugese but that doesn't matter for the Qtek.
The English WWE ROM i think 1.6.7.0 is the fastest

Tried to install the Qtek ROM, but it said something about the Vendour (don't know if I spelled it correct) wich is T-mobile in my case, and offcourse it needs to be Qtek. Is there anyway to solve this problem?

You need to 'CID unlock' the device first. Look around on this forum. There is enough info to find about flashing your device

Why not working with my device?! It crashes when syncing..
My Vario is slow and crashes too many times (TTWM5), many times it can't read my SD unless I reset the device; so I wanted to upgrade my rom.
But....: I got a real problem when I want to update my dutch MDA Vario....
The ppc is set to basic, factory. I can connect to my PC('s) with my cable. But.... when I start the dutch OR the english update the device crashes after a while. Then connection goes down and 4 big stripes appear to the device-screen. The updateprog on the pc gives an error and the prog closes. I run 2000NT (on both pc's). Who has me the answer? btw: I did already succesfully unlock the device. Fortunately I can soft-reset it without probs.

From my experience all WWE roms designed for the HTC Trinity brand will work whether posted in Germany or in Belguim or in timbaktoo. It is designed for the HTC unbranded trinity. Therefore I can carefully say it will work. Unless a more experienced person here can smack me on my head and tell me to jump off a cliff if I am wrong lol.

If somebody has a Dangaard device… He can check the official Dangaard web site ROM upgrade.

I said for Belgians because the download site will check for a Belgian IMEI. As it is a Dangaard-website, it might be available on other Dangaard-sites too.
There should be a Dutch and French language version also, but as I have an English language device I cannot see them.

I registered and ran my IMEI and it will not allow download; probably because it's a UK CID. I guess we'll have to wait until someone with a Belgian IMEI downloads the ROM or until the UK version comes out.

I'm sure that this WWE rom will work. However the rom version looks lower than the latest Dopod rom, you could just upgrade the existing Dopod rom with the new 1.38 radio.

im more woried about IMEI number wich was chenged when ATT WM6 was instaled added (20) to the end !!!
will the officael updater check it ??? (when i had HTC Magician (i-Mate jam) it did check IMEI or I-mate did any way)

thanks what is the date of this ROM? the radio is 1.13.25.24 seems it is one version older that the latest on that that has radio: 1.14.25.24

well this is the original shipped rom that htc released for public. just got it this morning when i was in office. anyway about the older radio rom i think its because htc thinks that its much appropirate/stable compared to the newer ones that is why they make it that way

do you have the asian 1.59 ROM for the Starhub?
BTW, when will it be released "officially"? i cant find it on HTC AP/SEA website yet..it been some time since you upload the ROM but HTC seem to be taking forever to make it available officially even though the ROM is ready?

thanks, but if i'm not mistaken starhub should be 1.59.723.0 as the previous ROM is 1.18.723.3...
once the latest ROM is out, i can flash to cooked ROM as i hate to downgrade back to old SPL just to claim warranty...

So I will have to use one of the xda ROMs cuz my HD has that StarHub stuff on it? If so, which one is best/most stable?

well you just have to flash it with HSPL i guess and try it. anyway i dont have a starhub unit on hand cant try.
@kayk you can try and walk in to the service center in singapore and ask them to do a rom upgrade for your device. well be sure to "un" HSPL your device if you wanna do so.

actually... nothing happens. it just lacks the application that starhub firmware came along. well for me i prefer non telco tied devices.

but i think the CID check will state something like "This ROM is not for your device" or something like that, thus stopping you from flashing that ROM...
I dont like the Starhub logo @ internet tab and on the top curtain...
i prefer to flash using USPL way, this way i dont have to "un" HSPL when i need to claim warranty...not to mention downgrade SPL 1.56 --> SPL1.14

Thanks, so far, it is the best Rom I have installed on my htc hd mini. Previous roms had given me lots of headaches. Thanks again and I hope this rom stay good. This rom is faster than the others. However, I would like to know if there is any way to change the logo screen of vodaphone that comes at the beginning or when shutting down the phone?

This ROM doesn't have app for operator settings, you have to configure manually GPRS/MMS, also CALENDAR app is different than original HTC.
The CAB you provide for STARTUP image installs some watchdog which trows an error on loading HTC Sense, so I prefer changing registry settings than installing this.
For me, this ROM works the same as others, nothing special you get by installing it.
