Keyboard Backlight Query

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum!
Have recently bought one of these TyTnII's fantastic PDA/phone. I have a query;
How long is the backlight supposed to stay on when using the keyboard? It goes out after a bout 5 seconds, is this right?
Maybe a silly question but I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance.
Its about 5-10 seconds, however you can modify the registry for it to display the backlight keyboard for 30 seconds or more. KaiserTweak has it in its library.
Thanks ekw
Is there a setting (i.e. 0) that would set it to not go off at all whilst the phone is open?
Thanks

Searching for an application that keeps the light on

Hi guys,
does anybody know an application for the Diamond, that keeps the light on for certain programms? I´ve got the prob, that I´m using many Nav-Software on my Diamond. But the only programm that can keep the light on and prevent the Diamond getting into "sleep-mode" ist TomTom.
Now I´m searching for a programm, where you can for example click checkoboxes for certain installed programms where you don´t won´t that the light goes of.
It would be fantastic if there is anything like this software for my diamond.
To understand my probs. I´m using my Diamond for a flight navigation software an for me it is a huge problem when the light goes of during a traffic pattern before the landing
Thanks

Go to Settings => Power.
There you'll find Yoda... err sorry, screen power off settings. Disable every power saving measure you find there and your screen will stay on.
Yes I know.
But to disable power saving does not solve my problem. Because then the phone stays on. For ever. And when I quit my application, the light stays on.
So I´m searching for a program that keeps the light on during an application. And when I quit the application it should go in "normal" power saving mode.
I´ve tested a little bit the last days but when I leave my phone in the kitchen and had the energy saving off, the phone stays on after a missed call and so the battery is empty on that evening.
So not a good idea.
Any others?

It's a hardware problem, your flex cable is worn out.
Dear harveydent,
Keybord is working but not showing in display. after opening keypad screen gets stuck & not rotating, & after closing keypad screen shows exactly what I typed on it.

I didn't say your keyboard or screen was broken. I said the flex cable was.
The hardware problem is the cable that connects your keyboard/main unit and lcd screen together (the flex cable). So your keyboard 100% works. Your screen 100% works. But when you slide open the phone, the flex cable stretches. Since it's worn out, some connections break when it stretches the main board can no longer send signals to the screen, so it appears to freeze. But the keyboard (and everything else) still work, so you can still type, only YOU CAN'T SEE IT since screen can't get any signals from the board. When you slide the phone back, the connection is restored and you can see what you typed.

[Q] Softkey touch problem

Hello everyone,
following the change of the display of the galaxy are the soft keys do not work anymore.
I state that I have purchased the full display of all, I did virtually no more than remove the motherboard from one display to another, connecting everything correctly (I hope ... but it's so easy) but do not want to learn anything working.
Other info and if I touch the keys light up, but make no function (menu and back) and remain lit until the display turns off.
What can I do to try to resurrect the soft keys?
Thanks to all who help me.
Hello
P.S. sorry for my english but I have translated whit google

[Q] Problem with screen sensitivity, too low.

Hello guys, First of all I'd like to thank this amazing comunity, I had a lot of help here when I had my Xperia Play, I squeezed tons of potential out of that phone thanks to this website.
I'm just joining now, since for the first time I can't really find an answer to my problem by just searching; A friend just got a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, Telcel carrier from Mexico, the problem is, we've noticed the screen sensitivity on the lower part of the screen seems off, it sort of takes a second tap to actually activate at all, I.E. When pressing the App Drawer icon, if the screen was off, we would have to press it twice for it to actually press, same goes with anything on that lower area of the screen after a little period of inactivity, like opening the keyboard, etc. Once the screen receives this 2nd "tap" so to speak, it acts "normal" as in it will react to a single tap in any area.
Is this normal on this phone? Or is it a cause for concern? There has been no modifications done, no rooting, no custom ROM.
I hope I'm explaining myself correctly, since english is not my native language. I apologize in advance if I'm not being clear enough, looking forward for any advice from you all.
Thanks.
