Who has iphone theme on their Kaiser? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

im just curious if anyone has done it on their Kaiser. how's the response and is it a resource hog?
Thanks

No! Not me!
God ... please burn those sinners to hell

I use Slide2Unlock and have toyed with the PocketCM and PCM Keyboards. I love Slide2Unlock. The other tools work ok for me, but not fully there yet. Still need some development on those.
I haven't used the the whole whoneedsaniphone.com thing yet. Not sure what other iPhone theme you might be speaking of...

Finding the right SMS

I've tried 3 different cooked ROMs so far: Dutty's Hybrid, Dutty's Diamond, and L26_V9.
All of them have their quirks, and all have their strengths. I haven't found one that I'm like "OMG, this is the one!"
One of the main things is the SMS application. Whichever they use, it is similar to what I'm looking for.
Has anyone used the Palm 750's SMS application? It's PERFECT. Does anyone know if that is available for the Tilt?
I'm sorry for such a n00b question.
Also, is it just me, or is the screen refresh annoyingly slow when you slide out the keyboard (going from portrait to landscape)?
TIA,
DaleyKD
Welcome to XDA, now let the fun begin...
A) This post does not belong in ROM Development.
B) The closest thing you will get to the Treo's SMS is a program called PalmSMS.
C) Keep trying different ROMs, you will find a lot of choices here, and they all have their +'s and -'s.
Good luck.
My apologies! I was thinking that because the proggy was in the ROM...
I'm running off of 4 hrs sleep and a Monster... I'm NOT thinking clearly.
I notice your handle is NotATreoFan, so I find the fact that you know the answer humorous.
MODs: If you could move this thread, that'd be great.
Thanks for your help!
Don't worry about the misplaced thread. You're new, and the Mod's will fix it for you. Just don't make it a habit (that upsets them).
The reason I know the answer is because I once flashed a ROM with PalmSMS instead of Arcsoft, and I couldn't stand it... reminded me of the Palm OS, which coincidentally is why I don't like the Treo. I've never used a WM-based one, so I can't judge them.
Ah, didn't realize ArcSoft is the current SMS. It seems really slow with a delay on my typing.
I agree on the PalmOS crap. But I LOVE my Treo 750. I still have it and use it side-by-side with my Tilt. If I could get the power of the Tilt and put it in the Treo, I'd be the happiest camper ever.
search for the palm sms app. you'll need to use google. for legal reasons that cab is not around any more. unless you look reeeally hard . But keep searching. as far as roms go....try em all. thats what we all do here for a living. as of late....hyper dragon and garmin been my favorite. tough call between the two...i just flash according to who comes out that day. romes roms are solid as well. i find very little bugs in any of them. happy flashing good sir.
I like Vito SMS chat
Not what you are looking for, but it might grow on you.

TF3d in landscape?

anyone know if there are any chefs working on TF3D roms that will incorporate landscape in their today screen? I've been waiting for what seems like months now, and it looks like the only one offering one is Anryl's tf3d beta so far.
I love the tf3d 6.1 roms like everyone else does, but not being able to view the today screen in landscape is a big setback for me since i spend a lot of time in that mode w/ the phone just resting in front of me.

Are you presuming to whine because these people, who are working for free in their spare time, in between their real jobs, family and life, aren't working fast enough?
Lets not be testy. He brings a valid point that has been discussed in the rom dev thread. He could just be curious about any progress made. Our members here, I think do expect alot from our chefs, not always realizing that this in fact is not Burger King (having it your way). I've sen it posted here that when people start being ridiculed for simple inquiries, then good questions stop being asked.
I patiently await the flaming with marshmellows on sticks.

thanx for posting, but try not to be a complete clown next time. k, thanx, bye.
anyways, as Stu_Can_Sam said, i'm just curious to how everyone is as far as progress, i was always curious to why the tf3d landscape buttons haven't been pulled from the fuze/touch pro roms, but it looks like someone finally did it. it looks like a lot of people are still making changes to their ROMs updating stability and other features, just wanted to know where this stands in the hierarchy of future implemented features for most chefs.

[THEME] Request... Disney's Epcot TF3D Theme

Hello,
I work on occasion at Walt Disney World, and am almost always wishing I was there working all the time instead of my current job.
Anyways, I found an icon set located here: http://iconfactory.com/freeware/preview/epct that I thought would be great if I could create a TF3D theme out of.. But I don't have much time, nor the knowledge to do something like that.
I do have a lot of great photos from there though to use as wallpapers.
Can anyone lend a hand?

See the problem with what you're saying is...... YOU! Amazing huh? Why not reconsider the fact that not all of us are as "Tech Savy" as you... and not nearly as ignorant. Also, let's consider that he came to a DEVELOPER FORUM for help. You know the place where people trade ideas and software. So, let's all take a quick life lesson from this... If you don't have anything useful to provide, leave it alone. Just because we're 12 and Mommy and Daddy bought us a nice little PC and a cool phone and are too negligent to pay attention to the Bovine Fecal Matter that the little "Monkey" has managed to spread on the internet, doesn't mean the rest of the world wishes to hear your ignorance.
Now, Numb Nuts over here was right about one thing... Google. Search google for "SNES" "NES". The best I've found is PocketNester but it doesn't support Landscape mode which is a little disappointing. (Mario Bros looks awful in Portrait haha)
Second do a search for some of you're favorite games and save all of this in a folder on you're comp.
Using the Date Cable out of the box you can do one of two things.
First plug in the cable and either select Active Sync or Disk Drive.
Disk Drive is a little more convenient but only works with a MicroSD inserted.
Disk Drive - Drag and drop your folder of games on to the phone.
Active Sync - Once its connected, select Tools - Explore Pocket PC on your comp and Drag and Drop directly in to the phone.
Unplug and Navigate to the File Explorer. (Start-Programs-Tools- File Explorer) Select the Nester Cab and install it to the device. Open the Nester Program and the rest should be self explanatory from there.
Good Luck.
Does anyone have any suggestion for a way to control emulators? The keyboard gets the job done, but it's far from great, any suggestions for an external controller? Someone in another thread mentioned using a PS3 controller over bluetooth as a possibility, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done yet.

Ok, the operational/usable emulators I have working:
PocketNESter Plus - this version was made specifically for the Dash and other landscape screens. Works perfectly on every HTC I've owned 'cept the G1 (for obvious reasons). I'm using it on an excalibur, a tilt, and a raphael as we speak.
PocketSNES: this one takes too much horsepower for the Excalibur, but the others run it fine..one problem here is that I've been unable to get sound working as of yet..tho this is really a minor problem for most games.
I'll be trying more soon

Sorry my friend, I've tried every form of control I can think of and only the keyboard is truly usable. It takes some getting used to, but you'll get it.
oh i see what about picodrive?
Look the creator of this post does have some good reasons to aliens a better emulator. I was able to run pocketnester however I was not able to get pocketSNES to run on my Raphael. I tried for about 5 hours to find a vga compatible snes. I found many links to vga emulators, N0p and Tila builds, however those links were down. The pocketsnes emulator developers website is down. I found one build called SNES9x for PPC Ver .41. This ran Chrono Trigger pretty well with sound. However this program has no onscreen game pad and does not register my hardware buttons. However there is a fix that makes your wm6 run or emulate an older hardware keyboard setting. So the real question would be does anyone have a working vga snes? If you got the original PocketSNES to work that would be passable. I was hoping to get the OpenGL version. I googled and googled.
yea i tried downloading pocketnester but for some reason it would not find my roms or load them up its kinda confusing

** Question for blackstone cooks from another cook ***

Do you guys communicate with each other ? I'd like to communicate with other blackstone cooks to share some of the knowledge and hopefully make better ROMs for the userbase here. I can be reached on the three IM networks in my profile
p.s. Here's a start... Anybody know how to get the newer "HTC Message Enhancenent" package to actually work in outlook by skinning the "to:" fields....inserting the green call icon.. etc ? I can't get mine to FULLY work.
p.s. here is a hint
runCC
will solve alot of issues for many with issues on the new topaz/rhodium..
hallelujah!
i can't believe it! this must be the one of the greatest things that happened here since the first hspl! there is hope! the chefs are going to openly communicate
going to check out on this thread and hope am i not too optimistic
this have to be a sticky!!
lol, then have a look at X1 part of the forum

I think EnergyROM 1.0 HD Series roms are really good, it is almost perfect, but if this problem about the EnergyROM HD 90409 can be fixed, that can be even better.
First is about the clock, it seems sometime the clock can not be delete as you set it on 9:00 am,than it work well, but when you change it to some other time, like 10:00 am, it will ring both 9 and 10, even you didn't open the alarm, the old setting didn't be delete.
Another problem is about the tf3D music player stutter, it is a old problem but I just find some points about it recently. One, the old manila never got this happen; two, one off the L26 rom with the same new manila don't have this problem; three, wm6.5 with same new manila also never have this problem; and four, after you do some registry editting to the audiomanager_Eng, it well be fix for a time. Now I'm still seach for the reason and try to fix it.
After all, you works are really great, it is almost the best rom I have seem, thank you. You are the best!

you forget you are talking about "xperia world" to somebody that lives in the HD jungle...this might be a fact in utopia (oops, xperia) but on this war lords dominated land we call it "blackstone" forum (even the name seems to speak for himself...black-stone) this is something unheard of
i tried, i did my best. look here, my humble effort:

"they" did'n even make it a sticky even when more than a few ppl asked. so....
enough now, not going to hijack "the thread"

Well I guess no other cooks in the blackstone forum want to communicate.. soooo.... there goes that idea. It sure would have been nice.

That is a pitty.
Well, the cooking class is ment to teach newbies how to cook. What *I* had in mind is a communication between seasoned chefs, in order to share knowledge and cook better ROMs.
