Hello,
Not sure if this has been discussed but I did a search in the forum and did not find anything. I had a voice mail two days ago and the bloody voice mail notification icon will not go away after deleting the voice mail. I am on Rogers and called them and they said they know the problem and it is a network thing. Is there a way to manually delete the icon from the phone which is annoying especially when there is no voice mail message waiting for me to hear?
Best regards,
Gilbert
PS: This issue only started two days ago and the rep I spoke to in Tech Support said it has been an issue for six months and they are still working on it!!!!! six months for a stupid fix.
what I always did to clear this was to call your cellphone, leave a vmail, then call your vmail and delete the test vmail you just left. I'm not about on your network but for verizon and AT&T in the US, you have to end the vmail call with * key. If I would jsut hang up, I would have the vmail icon also.
1. Make sure you have good network coverage
2. Call yourself and leave yourself a VM
3. Call the number you use to retrieve VM
4. Listen to and then delete VM using proper procedures. With AT&T, for example, if I don't hit * to hang up it will sometimes do this (vs. using the Red hangup icon).
5. Wait a few secs and it should go away
18 July WM v6.1 Messaging SMS \ MMS contingency, phone service is five bar signal , select Send and messaging process displays “Your text message cannot be sent”.
Call HTC technical support and select troubleshooting. Explain that yesterday Edyta suggested visit HTC e-member site for Radio ROM update, there is no Radio ROM update for TyTN II.
Raes answers, I explained contingency, Raes suggested that I call telephone provider I said that that the phone is HTC supplied SIM unlocked and that I have tried three SIM cards and the SMS contingency is the same.
Call ref. 08rbc290000760 Raes says select Settings, Phone, Services, Voice Mail and Text Messages, Get Settings, and that Phone: text messages service centre: number +44 7802 2092035 is incorrect (note that Voice Mail: number is blank) and that I need to call the SIM card service provider for a new number for the TyTN II phone service.
18 July 2008 Installed received today new SIM card supplied by O2 SIM serial no. 0064 4188 36619 marked www.02.co.uk/blueroom 3G
Installed new SIM card, restart TyTN II, Check Phone: text messages service centre: number and it is the same +44 7802 2092035.
Select Messaging: select SMS; select a failed SMS text message, select Send, dialogue box displays message sent.
Call HTC technical support, advise Mathew that contingency resolution here is that SIM cards supplied pre 3G not liked by TyTN II.
I received this message once when sending an SMS from an area where texting worked but voice/data did not. In my case, all I had to do was tap "Tap here to retry", and it worked.
Just to eliminate any 3G issues, you may want to force the phone onto Edge and try again.
I get this sometimes, usually right when I'm getting a message from someone else. I guess it's kind of a collision thing.
Anyway, just tapping "click here to retry" works but sometimes it does take three or four times to go through.
Sorry this isn't more help.

do you have your messages on threaded mode or normal mode
if its on normal (hacked by registry or other tools) this could be the problem because i experienced the same issue when i shifted (temp) to wm6.1
best wishes,

Definitely a well written post (I'll be taking que's from that from now)! Seems my problem is low signal strength, incoming sms's jammed (seriously, how stupid is that??), *and* wm6.1 I'm about to switch over to a 6.5 device, so we'll see if 6.5 is any better than 6.1.
*edit*
I have noticed that the whole messaging system locks up sometimes if I can't send out an sms, and a reboot will fix it with a rush of incoming messages that should have happened when i was trying to send out one. Is this common?
Hello everybody. I m using 2in1 card in Cosmote here in Greece. While I m on GB everything is ok(stock or custom rom). When I m using ICS or JB I can tchange between the two lines. When I change from line 1 to line 2 my phone seems to be off although I can make calls without problem. I just cant receive calls to none of the 2 lines. I must turn back to the line which was active when I first flashed the rom so I can receive calls from both my lines. ( The line 1 is active and line 2 is forwarding to 1. When I m trying to set active line 2 and forward line 1 my phone is offline). Has anyone faced something like that?? Any ideas how to solve it? I have tried everything but no luck.Please help because I want to use JB roms but I can t!!!!!
Dear friends ,
After the Nexus 5 I bought also a Nexus 6 .
In N5 I have a sim from my provider with 2 lines . The line 1 is the main and active and the line 2 is the forwarded line to line 1 . Every time that I had a call in line 2 I get a message before during the ring that is a forwarded call.
Now with Nexus 6 I don't have that anymore . Is there any solution ?
I can see how to check which sim a text message has been received on. However I can not see how to check sim a call is being received on.
What I want to do is divert call received on my work sim to answer phone when I leave work, weekend or annual leave.
Please can someone advise how to confirm which sim the call that is currently being received is coming from.
I have tested phone and monitored the settings listed below but they do not apppear to change.
multi_sim_data_call = 2
multi_sim_sms = 1
multi_sim_voice_call = 1
Have checked both system and secure settings and can not see anything related.
I do not want to turn off the work sim as this is used for mobile data as I get unlimited data and have virtually none on personal sim.
Help and advice appreciated
Thank you.
As far as I know, there is not a way to determine this through Android.
Do you get a notification on incoming calls that tells you which line the call is coming in on? If so, you could use AutoNotification to act on receiving that notification.
