With all the lates updated that have surfaced in the past few days, which is the one that is working for english. Is it worth switching to one of these?
Thanks in advance
Any of the ROMs listed as "English" in the "All known official.." thread.
All of them are the same as far as the OS goes - the difference is in the carrier customizations. Also, the ROW releases have a newer radio (shown as "Firmware" in the about->phone screen) than any of the others. Whether it's the same, better, or worse is still unknown.

Greetings,
Is there any real difference between underground and most beautiful.
Coz until now i cannot find any big difference between them accept the integrated tweaks.
Thanks
Well, thats probably it. You can either flash both ROM yourself or read the million posts of users whom had experienced them. There are a few minor issues with both of these ROMs (eg. MMS with Underground, Start-Click with Beautiful), which are generally fixable. As a matter of fact, Underground .6 version (beta, I think), has been release which seemingly solve many of these bugs.

OK, then when you release the rom, I'll be sure to drop some feedback as to how well this radio is working. I'll probably give it a go on you "real thing" rom which is what I'm using at the moment. I'm using the 2.61 radio on it for a few weeks and I have not noticed any missed calls or anything, so it might work out.
I just put it on.....let's see how good it is.
does this one have the famous 2.2*+ radio issues.. u kno 2.21 2.25 2.26 2.61 issues as far as missing calls/txts?
Has anyone tried this with faria's wm6 rom? Does it still have the missed call problem?
Great! Thanks Faria,
How was your experience using this radio with your "Real Thing" and "Vanilla" roms?? (since you have been using it for months!!)
Will the upcoming Vanilla and RRT (Revised Real Thing) rom will have this radio?

I apologize. The emphasis should have been on the first question.
How was Farias experience in using this radio rom? would it always be better than 2.19 with the reg tweak?
seems to work good.. good signal strength

I can't believe that, especially fishy as it appears at the same time as the German ROM. You've had no problem releasing AKU3 ROMs before they appear so why is radio different?
ANyway, seems to be good so far, no problems with the ROM, using one extracted from German AKU3.3.
Another crap radio rom. Takes too long to recover from lost signal. Only getting 2 bars. Calls sound mumbled.
Well after a day of using it on faria's "real thing" I've had no problems. No missed calls, BT working fine, GPRS working fine, my bars have been full all the time (I haven't really left the area around my house yet so that might change). I didn't ever have the problems associated with the other roms either, so your mileage may vary.
I'm using this ROM with Faria's WM6 Real,
I've had numerous missed calls and SMSs. I'm going to flash 2.19.
I've missed 3 phone calls today (phone never rang) and didn't get notified of voice mail until 2 hours later. Also missed an SMS message. This is on the X-Plore 1.1 ROM.
Back to T-Mo UK 2.19 I go...

Works well thus far on Faria's WM6.

I assume all of you know that the missed call problem is provider specific!? Most of people (me too - I am on T-Mobile Germany) will probably never experience this problem while others will probably have it with all newer versions (later than version 2.19) and maybe all upcoming versions...
Other than changing the look of the ui, give me a good reason to update it.I already got rid of all the bloat and crapware.
I have now on my Tilt:
rom version 1.62.502.0
radio version 1.27.14.09
And isn't AT&T going to release a wm 6.1 update anyway? So what is the point?
cause you original rom sux. there's been posts in the past, i dont know if you can find it, but if you do........just see the benchmarks comparing a shipped rom to a cooked rom.

With that attitude there is no point. You can now leave the forums.
Flashing ROMS is about getting every drop of power and speed out of your device if you have a lackadaisical attitude then its not for you.

I apologies if my post appeared to have attitude. I just spent the past hour going through the hundreds and hundreds of posts about different roms and wanted to get someone to give me the befor and after facts.
I did see the post where the after was benchmarked against an ipaq, I believe, but i don't know how a stock one compares.
Again I don't mean to have an attitude....
All is forgiven.
I don't know if anyone has benchmarked the Stock ROM w/ Bloat. But On pure feeling I'm glad I flashed to a Different ROM. And Dutty's Has improved upon itself Exponentially. I can't stress how much better the Device just feels after getting off of a Stock ROM.
Do I need to worry about my radio version?
I used to ask my self the same questions, finally one day my friend got a tilt and dropped a cooked ROM on his phone. We compared speeds side by side and it was amazing the speed difference. Needless to say I went directly home to flash my ROM

Yes since certain radios only work for 6.1 roms which requires downgrading 1 or the other or sticking with 6.0 rom with 6.0 radio and same for 6.1.

newer roms and radios really help with performance of certain needed services like gps. I tested with and without custom roms and only 3 satellites with original rom and 7 or more satellites connect with newer rom
Have unbranded Rhodium, it came with 1.19.401.0. There is an updated ROM, 1.19.401.1.
There weren't a lot of fixes lists on HTC's website, can anyone mention any changes they have noticed? Apparently there is a bugfix for the shown ammount of RAM but other than that looks pretty useless to me.
I just don't want to upgrade the ROM and have to re-install everything unless it will actually help me...

it's pretty obvious that it;s a minor fix so need to go through the upgrade process. You may keep the current version.
Although I think you are fishing in the wrong water, who searches for official roms upgrades when there are great cooked wM6.5 ROM out there?
Hi Guys,
First of all, I've searched ardently on any thread that might be related to mine, but I'm finding it none zilch nada. So if any of you have found some similar threads as this thread, then feel free to PM the Mod so that they may close it appropriately.
Anyway.. Here's my issue. Seeing on Samfirmware website, I saw two versions of the firmwares available today. One in Asia(DXLR2) and one for Europe (Open Germany - DXLRG)
Now my question is, I know the firmwares are carrier or region specifics but we can always try one over the other right?
So here goes, Which do you think among the two firmwares (DXLRG vs DXLR2) have more positives over the other? or anyone can stand up and say that DXLR2 is much better in battery management than DXLRG??
To those using DXLRG now, would you mind listing all the benefits/advantages you can share in using that Rom over DLXR2? Also to those using DXLR2 woud you mind doing the same? You can also list down bugs you have discovered using the Rom you chose.
Let's start comparing which one suits best.
I'm in quandary which one I should try to flash it to.
Thanks y'all, much appreciated it.
It probably is just two different names given to the same kernel/firmware.
Build date might be different but it is built on the same sources.
Anyways, it seems firmware upgrades are national secrets. Only The Asian and the German firmwares got the 4.0.4 update not others ??

I guess so. I mean I checked Samfirmware and those are the only firmwares I could find (Asian and the Open German one).
I'm just trying to solicit views and comments /experiences here to those who are using the two firmwares. Comparing one over the other. I've heard about laggyness on the German firmware and smooth UI experiences on the Asian one.
The German firmware has some issues also that the phone accordingly builds heat and drains battery more. Though I can't confirm or deny on that. That is why I would like to know straight from the sources themselves if it's really true or not.
Hey Guys,
I'm still waiting further inputs to those fellows using DXLRG and those who are using DXLR2?
What's your take on these ROMs buds?
TIA
