Hi,
last time i've some strange problems with my alarm.
Sometimes my alarm is going when I didn't set it on that specific time.
This is really annoing.
Does someone have a fix for this???
Go to settings,
Clocks and Alarms
Alarms
and make sure you uncheck all the alarms to turn them off.
Haha, That is the strange thing about it.
When my alarm goes off at 8:00
then I Go to settings,
Clocks and Alarms
Alarms. And I see that my alarm is set on 6:30 and 6:45, But not at 8:00
It is strange because a few days ago I had my alarm at 8:00 but when I change the alarm it looks like it stays in his memory
Is your system time set correctly?
Do you have any other programs installed that may change your alarm settings?

Over the week end i set and alarm to go off at 9am every morning,
it went of ok, and i dismissed it
but one morning something went wrong and the dismiss prompt dissapeared,
Now every day at 9am the alarm goes of, but there isnt a dismiss prompt appearing to get rid of it, it only sounds for a few minutes.
Also every time i do a soft reset the alarm sounds too.
Can any one help?

I've just had a call from a friend who's having the same problem
it seems that you have a stuck notification....
use a a program that can check for duplicate notefications to delete the offending one .i belive memaid or sktools does that.

Used MemMaid, used SKTools. No duplicates. SMS notifications work. Task, calendar and clock notifications don't. Any suggestions if this is not a stuck notification?
Does anyone know how to assign different ringing profiles on the Tilt?
My old phone, I have different settings for a Loud Ring, Soft Ring, etc.
The reason is that I have my Tilt checking my emails every 30 minutes and it sucks when at 3 am I get a ringing from a junk email that I received.
I know that in the HTC Home for the ringer, there are 4 choices - Standard, Silent, Vibrate and Automatic....what is the automatic for?
Any advise/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I **LOVE** the Automatic Profile.
When you set the phone to Automatic the Profile is on Normal UNLESS your calendar contains an appointment that you have marked as "Busy". Whenever a 'busy' appointment happens the phone AUTOMATICALLY switches to the "Vibrate" profile for the duration of the meeting. Then, it switches back to Normal.

I'm good at remembering to turn my sounds off during appointments.....but I never remember to turn them back on again!!!

Hm....for some reason it also changes to vibrate even if the appointment mentions that I am free...
Every night I switch the phone profile to 'Vibrate' and every morning back to 'Normal' - is there an app that can do this automatically?

Spb phone suite. It is not free, but as other spb products, it's very good. You can assign profiles based on time, charging, etc. I wish it could change profiles based on gps location, but it doesnt.

How about something better.
Set your sound profile to 'automatic' (manilla/settings/sound/automatic.
Now just set an event in your calendar and set it as 'Busy'. During these events your phone will be on vibrate. Set a re-occuring event to do it at the same time each day.

I believe SPB Phone Suite can do what you require but it's not freeware and I don't know of a free alternative.

Manilla Settings tab - Sound - I have "automatically" profile there.
It allows automatically turn sound off during appointments
I use phoneAlarm, it does exactly what you want. There was a free trial when I first started using it, would've thought it'd still be the same.
It's not free but it's not that expensive either and pretty much set and forget.

I am using the HTC touch diamond with Windows Mobile 6.1. and have one problem, i use the lock, so wen the alarm rings i have to unlock the phone and then click on snooze, which is very painful. with the Default windows alarm, i dont have to, but the limitation there is that everytime the alarm rings i have to choose the mts for snooze, by then i am already awake. Also cant play my MP3 in the default windows alarm. Please help, is there any way i can config the default windows alarm to play my MP3 and also preset the snooze time for every alarm..... H....E....L....P......

I am guessing you're using a custom alarm program instead of the default winmo alarm - you have not specified which one. Because the winmo keylock is designed for security, it only seems to allow its own applications through, such as its own alarm and calls etc. Your options I guess are either to stick with the default alarm program or to use a different lock program. I am currently trying out slide 2 unlock which has its own code-lock option. I am not sure how secure it is for truly confidential data, and the keypad is tiny, but it lets Klaxon alarm through no problems.
wrt the mp3 issue, check out the thread 5616127 entitled "Problem Setting mp3 as Ringtone" (I cannot put the link here as I have not yet been verified)
