Hi to all!!!!!
finally patch are available!!!
I haven't yet tried, but tomorrow i will post my impression!
Ciao, ilVanni.
argh!!!
the patch was removed from website!!!! The support told me that are only a website test...
... it's back....
same file to download.
Specification of fix:
"i-mate™ is aware of the problems being experienced with the i-mate™ PDA2k Bluetooth. We are delivering a compete fix in two stages. The first patch increases the scan time of the i-mate™ PDA2k when searching for other nearby Bluetooth devices, thus improving other devices detectability. It should be used by customers regularly bonding with other distant devices. If the required devices are not identified after this extended period, pressing the scan again button will repeat the search. The second part of the fix will be released shortly and will improve the signal quality when using audio headsets. "
Great Thanks... I'm waiting for this patch!!!! The second one, I mean....
Now all we need is the A2DP profile supported and I will really start loving my MDAIII... I just got my B-Speech headset yesterday... didn't have much time to play with it yet though... I'd really like to get these HP bluetooth headphones too...
Treo
Yahoo!
but these 2 patches doesnt address the memory error message where the bluetooth fails to turn on... or am i missing something?
It does not address the device turning itself on all the time either. It is a joke. They are not fixing the things that are really broken.
yup i think they dont know how to fix it! ahhhhhhh refund refund! how can they even release the blueangel with such a flaw, how can their engineer miss that , did they not use their own creation for more than 15 minutes, they would hav saw the error msg
May not be IMate's fault...... of course they could have probably stuck with the lousy MS BT Stack.. might be less problems.. but anyway.. Its the OS..Remember the 32 process limitation that's still there? well. there is also a limitation on driver memroy.. I found this link that might help..
http://www.pocketfms.com/2-knownissues.htm
"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to Insufficient driver memory available. Especially in PocketPC 2003 the Bluetooth Manager has been equipped with a lot of extra options like File Transfer, Audio Gateway and so on. If you go to Bluetooth settings and disable all services except for the Bluetooth serial port, a lot more driver memory will be available. Furthermore it's best to turn the Bluetooth radio on (and sometimes to connect to the GPS, configuration depending) prior to starting PocketFMS."
Doesn't fix the problem.. but its probably the same problem across the board for a number of devices out there..
Do a Search on Google for pocketpc "driver memory" .. you'll notice we're not alone... Then check the newsgroups.. the xda IIs has the same issue : http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=...%22&hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&sa=N&scoring=d
"disable all services except for the Bluetooth serial port, a lot more driver memory will be available"
THAT IS NOT TRUE, I tried to disable EVERYTHING and ONLY headset profile left and it still gives the error just as often. Sucks..... SUCKS...
umm.. U DON'T HAVE TO YELL AT PEOPLE.. All I was trying to do was pass along any information that might help the situation.... Also, make note that IMate is the only device to experience these issues.. HP and Ipaqs have the same issues....
I for one have not had any major problems with the bluetooth driver(knock on wood). I turn it on and off a lot and only rarely do I see the driver memory issue. However, I do see it more often when I turn on/off the WLAN driver for wireless access. I also tend to use GPRS a lot and have not had issues with the bluetooth with GPRS. I also use a bluetooth GPS unit... I have it bonded to an Sony Bluetooth HB-35 headset as well.
lol sorry, it wasnt yelling, i was actually just making main points bold... we are all suffering from this issue it's time for them to fix it.
Complaining to Carrier Devices will help a little...but the key point here is that this goes beyond them.. I think it has more to do with Microsoft and Broadcom(they bought widcomm). Microsoft and their stupid limitations on the pocketpc operating system and Broadcom committing to enhancing their widcomm drivers so as to not use heaping loads of memory..
I agree it needs to get fixed.. however, these fixes will take time and sometimes might take months to fix as you can see from all the other issues revolving around the Ipaqs...
I've got the same problems with the T-Mobile MDAIII - not enought driver memory, turns itself on, licence has expired, rebonding. These things really should have been sorted before now, considering that for the last twelve months we've all put up with similar problems on the XDAII.
This should fix the license expiry for the Imate. I received it via email from their tech support.. according to their tech support.. you can choose any of the key addresses...They sent it to me even though I never received the license expiry issue.
As for constantly turning on.. read someone on Howardforums on a possible workaround -> http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...50658&threadid=495366&perpage=15&pagenumber=2
Firebird, forgive me if this seems stupid, but what do i do with the file you posted after unziping it? Do i run it on my pda once or what....???? have no idea... THANKS.
Don't know if it works on an XDAIII.. but copy both files to the IMate PDA2k and run the executable.. then choose any address to update it.. I just chose each and every address and updated all of them..
and this will fix the license expired error msg on the pda2k ???
That is what its supposed to do. still wont' fix the driver memory issue.... I haevn't seen the license expiry issue ever since i applied the patch..
PLS forget this, after use BT head set several time, the same problem had been happened! Sorry about this!
BT Head set problem of un-resume with incomming call when the device is suspending. how to fix!
@;Download XDA2s_1-12-178-WWE_UK_Extended_ Rom.zip from below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13072
@And extract the zip and find BA_OEM_PD_BT_Headset.sa.CAB
@Copy&Past BA_OEM_PD_BT_Headset.sa.CAB into Blue Angel and tap it to install.
@Make worm reboot and you can already finish work for replacement the new version of BtCEStack.dll (V1.604)
@@@You can also download same CAB file (but i renamed to BT_Headset.cab) from http://www.asukal.jp/BT_Headset.CAB
Now Blue Angel had became the All Mighty Machine!!!! Enjoy it!
you can see same summary on my Blog
http://asukal.seesaa.net/article/1182756.html
Also you can see how to get the missing function of dial network client service on BlueAngel (replacment of the BTWIzardPrifile.dll)

Attention for this thread
PLS forget this,
after use BT head set several times, the same problem had been happened!!
(sometimes effective, but sometimes not effective, also sometimes auto resume the device.not sure it`s side effect or natural function of this patch)
If you want to try this, plese dont forget it is your own lisk!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*for The Guys who already installed and wishes to uninstall due to some side effect. You must delete them manually with following steps.
@If you are using BT function, please turn off the BT, and make worm reboot it.
@Connect IIs to PC with Activesync, and use PC explore (Or use failer which can access dinamic librallies on IIs)and find following 3 files in the windows folder of IIs.
BTAudioGW.dll
BtCeStack.dll
HFPUI.exe
@Rename them to the names to eazy find them in next step(Example;"a" or "1", and make worm reboot again, then you can delete it. You can not delete those 3 files without rename. They were untachable.
@Make it worm reboot again. it have finished already and return to the default!
has anyone found this to work?
Has this worked for anyone? This is the biggest problem with the PDA2K...
Didn't work for me. This BT Headset problem really is a pain.
We were all looking for a solution to the voice dialling problem with the BT Headset on the XDAII and there's no solution to that.
Now a year on, a new 'improved?' model and to cap it all there's no solution to even getting a reliable BT Headset connection!
Now new test of solution
http://asukal.seesaa.net/article/1204039.html
Please watch my test!!!! but i am still not sure for myself!
Somebody please post your result with OzBT
Now my bluetooth head set still working with this ozBT.
But i think my result can't say it all for you, guys.
if somebody tried this, pls post your result, worked or not! Please.
After 3 days test, its workable for ME
PLease see folowing new report! seems to be workable!

BT headset problem
Thanks vey much for all this work trying to resolve this Blue Tooth problem. However, as a newbie with my Tmobile MDAIII, where can I get official upgrade files, ROMs, etc. unless it is only from this site? In other words,
is there a Blue Angel support site in English anywhere?
Thanks!
I follow instruction of Asukal and now BT headset are usable after standby of pda2k.
Now the only problem I have are that sometimes ppc wake up without motivation. the problem was present also before use ozbt and O2 patch.
Thank you Asukal!

Do not panish me if that time come please <very little probablity>
Answer to the Mr,Guest>
@this blue tooth patch was downloaded from this forum
@you had better not to inquire anything to the XdaO2IIs support center, they are not specialized mechanics for the PDA, but just a mobile phone serveice center, they will replay you with quite different solutions to your question, it make you worth. this is my suggestion.
Mr,ilvanni> auto wake up without any motivate.
Yes i knew it, but it was not coz of OzBT, but coz of BT patch. before i tried OzBT, it also happened with BT patch. Hope you watch the battery.
--------------other way of solution for this--------------------------
Some Thailand Guy said, use the softoware to turn off the screen(but the windows is runnning), works for this BT head set problem, too.
You can try this, too. (i forget to the name of soft---may be "Screen OFF" or something like that.)
but sorry i didnt try this. need much more attention for the battery.
Re: After 3 days test, its workable for ME
Hi Guys,
I'm a bit new to this pocket pc business. I can see where your coming from, but when I try this my screen, particularly the Todat screen, wont refresh properly, ie you cant read it!
Any ideas?
Sorry i cant catch what you want to say exactly,i guess two situations.
#1;Does it mean today plug-in soft were can`t be appeared aftre wake up?<with using ozBT>
On IIs(or PPC2003) has some non-conpatible with the previouse version of Today Plugs-in Soft<World Today, tAgenda, or exToday, etc>
#2;or does it mean IIs can`t return to windows? some like freeze with susspend? if this case, i have no exipierience about that yet. sorry.
Sorry for not being clear!
What I am saying is that the video display of the "Today Program" ie the start up screen is corrupt. Any window, such as the Bluetooth driver message, stays on the screen. When you press the start button it appears on top of this and the display is corrupt. The device is still working anbnd clicking an any "full screen" application displays normally. The Today screen remains corrupt when you return to it.

Switching the Today background to something else, them back again, sorted this for me.
Today programs disapear
Now i got it.
i think it was coz of the New OS, even without those patch, some times happen to me.Or memory condition. Blue Angel lost memory very quick and be stacked easly(too much devise resources--wi-fi,bluetooth,keyboadm many hard bottms--- used i think)
(Himala upgraded with 2003Se is better)
the solution fo this,Mr,Sparkeyxda has right answer, i also try to open option----today---and off/on today plugs in, then return to today. they will come again.
I think it coz of un-compatible of old today programs.
So this moment, i gave up use some of Today programs.
sorry if someboday have better solution, please tell him!
I had the same problem and changing the theme back and forth like sparkyxda solved it for me.
is this worth trying on QTEK9090 ?
The bluetooth problem on 9090 is that whoever calls 9090-user wih BT headset, will hear him/herself really well.. it is as if the audio that is suppoed to get to 9090-user-ear *also* is sent back as if that was somthing 9090 used said. very clear audio loopback
Hi Akusal i wonder if you are working to solve the BT hands free problem & if you need anyhelp testing devices or SW i can do that
beware newbie detected >>> so
i keep having problems with bluetooth on my spv m2000 actualy with 1.31 original rom. an error message appears from time to time and says:"the bluetooth radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory aviable. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the bluetooth radio". when i bought this unit it had same problem same stuois message. i thought that if i put original rom 1.31 i can solve it. but as you see same problem. what shall i do ?
Unfortunately I think you are out of luck.. this appears to be a common and unsolved problem. Check out the wiki sire for the blue angel rom upgrades for some possible worl arounds. however none have worked for me. We all need a new bt stack for these devices...
so what the reall problem is ?
so what the reall problem is ? bad unit or ban software ?
half the problem solved ?????
i managed to get rid of the error "bluetooth radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory ". i deactivated all bluetooth services to gain more memory except HANDS-FREE service. so bluetooth is now activated
Now spv 2000 is not detecting the headset, a plantronics 2500 ( works fine with hp6340)
what to do now?
My thoughts are that its primarrily a software integration issue. Pehaps some conflicts with files in main and/or extended ROM...
Interesting idea to deactivate the services... how did you do that?
Regards
chris

Have you run all the patches?
It sounds like you missed a patch file or two. Also make sure that you use the no camera fix for the SX66 that is posted. It is critical......
Later...............
Read the wiki. Help us improve it.
Hi All.
I just purchase a new unlocked HTC P3600 (1.15.405.5 is the verision that the device came with from the store) here in Canada.
This unit came from the store with the GPS icon available in SETTINGS/CONNECTION connections.
I have spent the last week reading, and reading, and rereading all you guys great posts on the new "cooked" ROM updates provided for FREE from some of the members/developers here, and the hints and tips for usability! Thank you all for this site and forum!
Now, into my question.
With the verision of the ROM that I have, is the GPS activated? I do see the GPS icon in the I have installed both google maps and live search which both software seem to have GPS functionality built in. I would like to get these programs to work with my built in GPS. However, it is a bit confussing when reading through all the posts on GPS to figure out what are my GPS settings that I should use from this particular ROM verision? I spent 2 hours trying every single combination of GPS program port (COM0-9 and GPD1-9) and GPS hardware port (COM0-9), with out success with either of the two softwares (live search or google maps). Both give an 'can't communicate with GPS' errors, with any of the combination settings.
FYI- I turned on the 'manage GPS automatically' when trying these comb settings. Each time I tried a different setting, I didn't do a soft reset.. just changed the GPS settings.. and then went back into one of the two program mentioined above and tried.. each time it fails with 'can't commicate with GPS'.
Question: do I have to do a softreset everytime I change the GPS settings? AGain, the device manual has NO documention on how to setup the GPS settings.. and the forums is somewhat confusing as I don't know if these methods are ROM specific or not.
Is there any utility that I can use to see if my GPS is activated/working under my current ROM?
Secondly, if my ROM is too old and I need an updated verision.. I have a small problem here too...
I downloaded LVSW ROM: 20070418_RUU_Trinity_LVSW_WWE_1.25.0.8_GPS_AKU3.5.2, which from what I have been reading here.. is a exellent ROM! But I have problems installing it...
My battery is 100% charged.. I am using my USB cable with my laptop (so powerfailure won't 'brick' my phone) running Win XP SP2 with ActiveSynch 4.5.
I make the activesch connection fine.. I lauch the .exe from the ROM.. i get past step 3 in the wizard... by clicking NEXT to install the ROM.. on the phone a verification prompts me to allow this program to run.. but as soon as I click accept/allow.. the wizard on the laptop immidately loses connection with my phone and says 'can't communicate'.. on my phone i get a red, green, blue and white bars with the text.. TRIN100, IPL_SSPL by Des, TRIN100, SPL-1.07.ds, and in the white area it says serial.
Thank god it didn't 'brick' my phone.. a softset brings my phone back to normal. I have tried this twice.. but same error problems...
I just want to get the GPS workings with my currently ROM with live search or google maps OR install this new ROM and get the GPS working with the same 2 programs.
If anyone can assist it will GREATLY be appreicated!!! I hope have i provided enough details for some of you PROs out there to assist me... lol.. hopefully I am not doing something stupidly wrong!
Thank you,
Chris
ps: In regards to my above post, I have tried the recommended baud rate of 4800, 9600, and even 57600..in the GPS settings again.. no luck...
Thank you,
Chris.
Hello did you upgrade the radio rom???
If not go here and do it,
you really nead that...
RADIO_ROM_1.38.00.11_Only_SSPL.rar
Hi Audsim.
Thank you kindly for the note and the link. I have already downloaded it.
Is this all I need to get the GPS working?
Yes you have to update also the radio part to enable the gps on your device...
Ausdim,
Thank you very much for you help. The radio update ROM installed perfectly!
I thought I would also mention that I found a 'work around' for the LVSW install problem (referenced in my post above) for those that might have the same problem.
Every time, I would try and install the LVSW ROM... on the last step in the wizard, I would get an error on my laptop 'connection error - can't communicate with the pda' and I would get a colored screen on my phone.
Before, I would just unplug the USB from the phone, do a soft reset to bring the phone back to normal and try again.
What worked, is that I left the USB plugged in after this error. I close the install app down and reopenned it (yes the phone was still on the colored screen).. then I would go through the install wizard again..and it worked!!
Very odd behavour as I followed the provided installation instructions to the T, but atleast I got it working and all is well!
Thank you again!
Regards,
Chris
