I do have an hotmail account and from time to time I do receive attachments bigger than 2 MB. However I am not able to download them. Anyway I can increase the size limit of the download?
On my Kaiser, Windows Live will download the first 30K (maximum limit setting) of the email. If you want the rest of the email, you just tap "download message" and the rest of it comes down.
I've downloaded emails with 4MB attachments without any problems at all... so it does work.
Mine won't download any attachments larger than 2 MB. It will give me a message File too big. How can I fix it?
anybody else has the same problem?
It has been almost 24 hours since today that when I select Send / Receive it tries to synchronize and then I get the message that Hotmail Live is temporarily unavailable and to try again later. Anybody else facing this problem??

I have the same problem.Doesnt matter if I want to download the whole message via WiFi or HSPA - every time I get the message about too big file. I wrote to MS support and now I am waiting for the reply.

Noticed something yesterday with my POP3 Gmail account.
When I received an email, there's a link to download the entire message. I click it and it goes into a state that says it will download the rest of the message next time I receive email.
So, I hit the send/receive option and, sure enough, the entire message is loaded.
I finish reading the entire message and go back to the inbox. After a few moments, the email goes away. At least I think it does. I looked in the deleted folder, not there.
I increased the Message download limit to Entire Message so I won't have to go thru this.
Does anyone know why the message would be removed after downloading the entire message and then reading it? Where did the message go?
I have the same problem also with gmail its giving me errors saying my settings are wrong but I haven't touched anything
I'm seeing this as well. Although it doesn't always happen. Any fix yet?
It's a known issue and hope google will fix it soon
Try recent:[email protected] instead of just [email protected] not 100%

oh i love you. i setup another account and told it to use automatic setup. it put the "recent" there and I removed it. I will try.
I wish google would create a setting to let me pop only what gets in to my inbox. If something gets labeled out of there, I don't want it down to my phone.
Hi guys i have v recently got a vario 3 and i am not very clued up on its uses as yet, i was hoping for a little help?
I want to use my googlemail on my handset and i have allowed the phone to check for auto settings. this has been done and then nothing appears in the inbox.
At first i thought it was because it wont show old messages however it doesnt show new either.
I have tried to send and email from the phone to myself and it sends fine and will come up on my laptop but it will not show on the phone? Can anyone help with this at all??
Any advice would be appreciated?
Ah so its a bug ..... I thought I was going mad!
I am using the shogunmark one for WM6, and it seems to be working okay. I have an issue though that I am wondering if it traces to this application.
Sometimes in the morning, I notice that Outlook seems to hang with the "please wait" circle/hourglass thing and it requires a soft reset to fix. Simply closing all applications does not fix it.
I don't know if this is a corrupt issue with Outlook, ActiveSync, or if separating SMS from Outlook causes the problem.
I use the app without any issues. Send lots of SMS but I don't send MMS at all.
I have had no problems so far but i've only used it for a few days. Pocket Outlook works as normal as far as i know. I don't really send mms so losing that ability is ok by me.
Sending SMS from Outlook is very annoying for me not only because it's not threaded but also when i type the contact's name in the receiver field it only shows whatever number is filed under "Mobile Number" but most if not all of the people i text to have more than 2 mobile phone numbers and i cant change the number (or at least i dont know how to change it from there). The Palm application lets you choose whatever number you have under that contact's name.
there is a fix for the mms i forgot which thread its in,
Okay, thanks for the input.
I think my problem must tie into ActiveSync then or the fact that I use an Exchange Server.
Any other reason for that circle/please wait to constantly be showing?

Are you using push Hotmail with Windows Live?
I've found that if it was enabled and you were in an area with no/bad coverage or in flight mode, it would cause that multicolor circle to appear every few seconds and the device would slow to a crawl.
would anyone be able to direct me to where i could find the Palm SMS cab?

I don't. But it might have something to do with that anyway.

thanks trjons. Now I've gotta see if theres a fix for the MMS yet.
Does anyone know if the KaiserHomescreen is able to display the SMS count when using this threaded sms?
i use it to send sms and it works just fine except that for some reason when i try to send mms it tells me i dont have enough memory to complete this operation.please close some open windows and try again even thought i have over 70mb of free program and storage memory on my tilt
Well from what i've read using MMS from the Palm application is not possible at all. The "fix" is for the MMS tab to reappear in Pocket Outlook and to send MMS from there instead. I tried doing it for my v1615 on Vodafone but couldnt get it to work. Maybe others had more luck.
Ive been using the Palm Application since I flashed to the new rom.. I have not noticed this problem.. I will pay more attention and post back if I see it happening!

I had this problem with my previous TD1, you can download a cab with microsoft that will fix this issue. the can i used was, "WMDST2008-1".
I remember it stuffing up all of my appts and time with sms..etc...
Tried it and its not working. anybody else has a solution??
OK i found the problem and temporary solution. It seems like the phone is set to GMT so if i set it to my timezone which is GMT-5 the time of my received msg is incorrect. so i set the time to GMT and manually change the time and then it works. But there must be a better solution to fix that problem like a CAB fix or something. If anybody has a fix please share it.
i got the same problem
hey i got the same problem on my TD2
say for example when i send a sms for myself on 12:08 , it will be delivered at 12:00
always 8 mins before the real time .. although that the mobile clock works fine
and i'm using a cooked rom Energy.TOPAZ.29008.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.GTX.Mar.08
any help ?
I can't seem to send large emails through my pop account set up in the messaging centre. It was previously setup and working, i haven't changed anything since.
However when i send a message i get an error message saying check network signal and settings and then try again, except i have checked the settings and they are definately correct as the account was working and does still receive mail.
I resorted to deleting the account and setting it up again, now i still have the same problem, although now the first 800 characters of the email actually get through, or if its a small email the whole thing goes through it can be over 800 characters and send though, but at some point, i'm not sure exactly what it gives the error message and only the first 800 characters arrive.
I can't work out whats going on, can anyone point me in the right direction ?
Right so i figure it might be the classic SMTP sending issue that WM6 seems to have ? Even though it connects and sends some email ?
I tried installing this patch : WindowsMobile61-KB958639.CAB
(I can't link to it)
But apparently...
"This update cannot be installed on this version of Windows Mobile. Current : 6.0 AKU0.4.2.0 Build 18125 Platform 2"
So is there any other work around or do i have to try and find the smtp details for my network provider ?
My Inbox [SMS account only, ActiveSync/mails are empty] has 34340 messages. My sent has about 29080. Inlcuding all subfolders and their messages, the total is about 69550 approx.
It seems this is the maximum my inbox can handle. I cannot "reply" or "forward" texts or create any new. the options simply do not work until I delete a text or two - which is what i hv been doing for now.
My phone seems to have SUFFICIENT MEMORY currently for a lot more texts. From the memory tab: Storage: 26.64mb free. Program : 15.32mb free.
The phone runs Windows Mobile 2003 SE. i-mate Pocket PC.
Is there a way to allocate more to inbox? IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET IN MORE MESSAGES ?
IMPORTANT: I AM NOT WILLING TO DELETE ANY TEXT AT ALL. DO NOT SUGGEST THAT OPTION
*help*
It sounds like you've hit the maximum file limit within a folder, considering you've reached over 65000 files, that sounds akin to 16bit limitations. The only real option I can see is if you back up your text messages to another storage medium and clear the memory away.
I know you've said that you don't want to delete anything but that's the only solution I can see. I suppose you can use PIM backup and store the texts in a binary file on a memory card etc but it would mean that you cant view them readily.
That's all I can suggest, hope something works. (I cant say I'm right though, I could be talking out of my arse here, I'm just going by a gut feeling).
Out of curiosity though, how have you managed to rack up a total of 65000 messages? That sounds insane!
I googled a bit, and i've figured i can fit in more messages if I change the storage location from "Windows\Messaging" to anything on my SD Card.
There is a registry key which needs to be edited for this. But So far i haven't been able to find it on the internet, or by myself.
Any help with that will be greatly appreciated.
and 65000? Lol. I do an average of 800-950 texts a day
