T-Mobile Wing locked up on start screen - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

My Wing is locking up on the T-Mobile startup sceen and not booting. Any way to fix it?

Wow, I can't believe T-Mobile sold you a phone like that. That sucks. Take it back and ask for a refund.

Have you tried a hard reset (you will lose your data)? If its hanging after a botched flash you'll need to reload the factory rom.
Download the RUU (there are links on here to the official rom RUU).
Get your phone into the bootloader (hold the camera button while booting).
Connect it to your pc.
Run RUU.

Recovering from a bad flash...

I was running xelencin's latest custom rom. I have used his previous versions and all was good.
This one hung at 98%. I was just letting it do its thing when out of nowhere, BSOD. So now my phone is just sitting at 98%. I thought there was a forum post here about recovering but I'm not able to find it.
Thanks.
Update: After a soft reset, I am back to the multicolor screen. When I plug it in, it says USB in the bottom left hand corner. Device manager shows a PocketPC USB Sync device as well.
When I perform a hard reset (Comm Button + Voice Dial held, then press soft reset with stylus), I am taken right back to the same multicolor screen.
You're at the bootloader.
This is a Good Thing(tm).
At this point, you should be able to rerun any (assuming you are CID unlocked) any RUU ROM upgrade. Let it do its thing and you'll be good to go.

For those that get stuck here in the future:
I had to extract the installer so as I could get past the CID unlock. I then ran "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe" and all went well!

Yep, I went thru the exact same thing yesterday when trying to upgrade to 2.24. My PC decided to shutdown (not restart, a complete instant shutdown!) at 8% flashing. I decided to grab the "Mr Clean AKU2.3 ROM" which already had the ROM flash program available separately and then just put in the .nbf file I wanted and it was good to go
if your not cid unlocked, then what? xtract what? to wherehow can i transfer any thing, it seems though the device screen says usb, the avtivesync doesnt detects my phone. n?m, ive got it
What happen when your not CID unlocked? I had removed my hardspl before I tried to again flash a rom. I am stucked with the bootloader now...
Pls help

Phone is not being detected HELP!

I have the T mobile Vario. Tried to change language from French to English. I upgraded the ROM but now activesync is not being detected, battery showns no info and phone is very slow. I have read many threads and tried countless of suggested course of actions any suggestions?????
This happened to me on my Qtek 9100.
You did not flash your ROM properly, you need to flash it with a clean ROM.
DId you CID unlock your phone before flashing? I did this to my Qtek 9100, and it screwed it all up.
You need to get back into the boot loader mode (rainbow screen) to be able to reflash.
No worries you didnt brick your phone.
i got to the bootloader mode and trying to reflash. still getting invalid vender ID. can u give steps and software you used?
Hmmm..
You have a Tmobile so you should use a Tmobile ROM for your Vario.
Restore it back to factory. You are getting an INVALID ID code because yoru device is CID locked and because you porbably installed partial ROM which is why your Phone mode and pda is all operating slow and non-functional.
Thats all I did. I used a Qtek ROM to reinstall, then did a CID unlock and then installed Mr. Clean. Then dropped it into a cup of coffeee and bought a Q2 mini S

Phone not responding.

I was going to CID unlock my phone. I ran the .cab file on the phone and I soft-reset my phone. Now my phone reboots and when it shows my Today screen, it does not respond to anything (soft-keys or hard-keys) . I tried several times to reboot it, the phone responds for like 5 seconds then nothing on the touch screen or the hardkeys work.
I have t-mob MDA with the latest T-mob rom.
Thanks for your help..

Is your device a G3 or G4? Hopefully it was a G3 before you did this.
The CID unlocking procedure only works on G3 phones and will brick G4's.
Best thing to try now is to re-flash your carrier's latest rom. If the phone starts working again maybe you just had bad luck with the CID unlock procedure.
If your IPL/SPL were x.xx.0001 before you started you are most likely out of luck.

My MDA won't boot correctly anymore.

I was upgrading my MDA using the official mda update 2.26 and then the phone completely froze. When I soft-resetted the phone, it wont get off the T-Mobile load screen. I tried to hard-reset it using the voice+commanager to reset, but then it just goes back to the T-Mobile load screen. Can anyone help me? I also tried to flash the Wizard_Love on the 3 color screen but it keeps giving me error 200. Please I need your help.

Remove the sdcard/minisd and do a hard reset.
Bricked?
Hi all,
i have similar problem like Lo0o0nG.
Tried to flash wm6 on my g3 wizard following the wiki:
Flashed the Button ROM "CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE ROM" but after rebooting the wizard stucks in the first screen with the beer glass on it - showing IPL 1.01, SPL 2.21, GSM 01.12.10 and OS 1.5.4.2.
Then nothing else happens...
Did this 6 or 7 times before with g3 and g4 phones - worked perfectly till now..
Are there any suggestions / any possibility to get my phone working again?
thx,
derHarry
If the phone is CID unlocked use the SD/mtty method to restore the full ROM image.
If it's not CID unlocked then try to unlock it with WST and reflash the ROM(s)
Thank you for your fast reply!
It's not CID unlocked, but WST can't connect to the device...
any other suggestions?
I'm sorry but WST can't connect unless the OS has booted already. I didn't realize it when answering.
I guess the only solution now is to use the commercial unlocking solution by IMEIcheck.co.uk
Thank you for your suggestions,
i think i'll replace the touchscreen from this bricked device with the broken one from my other device... so it's not that tragical
btw: how could this happen? did i something wrong while flashing?

Yes. I believe you flashed a ROM without permission (CID unlocking) or an upgrade went wrong (stopped before finishinfg) and now the bootloader 1.xx can't load the OS because the 2.xx address is different and can't be found.
cheers

Wizard (MDA) will not get past the boot screen

Hi, i have been trying to upgrade my mda to the wm6 <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324632> and now my mda will not get passed the boot screen. i have tried reverting back to the tmobile 2.26 version to no avail. i have also tried using mtty to set 14 0 with no response from the device and task 23, etc does nothing either.
Anyone ever have this happen when these resolutions will not work?
Please help!!!
did you put your phone into bootloader by pressing and holding the camera then pressing the reset button?
Yes, i can get into the bootloader and load images, its just that they will not get past the boot screen on a normal boot.

I have seen this happen in 2 different sitations. One is that you installed software while the HTC Home Plugin is enabled on your today screen, and the other is installing 3rd party software not compatible with WM6.
My reccomendation is to hard reset the device and i you are still having the same problem afterwards, put the device in bootloader mode and flash your carriers latest rom. If that will not work then try Wizard love rom.
Also another option is to flash the button rom and then try the t-mobile 2.26 rom.

He can't get past the boot loader so it's not a matter of applications errors
@ dgrandestaff
Is your phone CID unlocked? If so then try the SD card method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276963
i have tried hard resetting hte device and reflashing with the button rom and tmobile's latest rom (2.26). They install but when i try to reboot, it just hangs on the initial boot screen.
I did run the cid unlock wizard as suggested when i started this process but i suspect that maybe that did not work correctly.
i'll try the sd method shortly and see what i get.
Thanks...
