my version is older than the tytn 2 it only has 4 htc models on it.

Hi there I am also looking for the Kaiser skin, used this prog for a long time on an old Acer, still works great now on my Kaiser but don’t want to pay for a new license just for a skin, any helpers, did a search on here and Google but couldn’t find one, thanks.

I'm in the same boat. I can have a discount for a new license, so the new skin will only cost me £21....
No thanks SOTI. I don't think I've ever seen a more expensive jpeg!

Future Tilt owner - where can i get HTC Home plugin

So, I know that there is the HTC Home plugin floating around from the Touch for WM6 devices. Is this the same Home plugin as is currently shipping with unlocked Tytn II's? If so how would I (eventually) get it onto the phone? Thanks.

id also like to know the same thing.
anyone know where to get it?
anyone?
anyone?
also i was thinking about the HTC rom. where could i get a hold of that?
Yes if you buy a Kaiser that is from HTC it will have the HomePlug since thats Installed in the ROM if you get one from AT-T or T-mobile when it comes out it will NOT have the homeplug and will just have the standard WM6 today screen. I just bought on from an importer here in NYC and it came with the HTC ROM including the homeplug!

yea i was talkin about geting it with the Tilt, not the TyTN II, but yea I can just get the rom from the kaiser upgrade section. Is the actual htc homescreen avaible somewhere to? say, if i just wanted to keep the AT&T rom but have the cool homescreen?
My question was what mikeeey is asking - if I want to keep the AT&T rom but use the plugin.I was wondering if the HTC Home plugin for the Kaiser is available. Looking at pictures the screen for the Touch and the Kaiser look different.

WorldCard Mobile

Is there anyone out there who can extract the worldcard Mobile from Touch Pro? Would be excellent to have as CAB and could then probably be used as easily in Diamond.
It's available on the CDs that come with your Diamond or rather that was the case with my Diamond.

The programs on the CD vary from country to country. Not a single program came on my programs CD, you kind of wonder why they even bothered to include it... I would have prefered the slip case.

Should I trade my Kaiser for a Diamond?

Hey, guys!
A friend of mine bought the Diamond before ~2 Months and it was his first pocket pc. He's from a rich family and doesn't understand a lot from pocket pc's, so he offered me to trade my Kaiser for his Diamond.
My Kaiser is almost 1 Year old and has scratches, but this is no problem for him. He said he's either going to give the Kaiser his sister or he's going to sell it to a mate of him, who is searching for a Kaiser to buy.
So... now about me i'm 17 years old and I think the Kaiser is too "business" for me, if I take the Diamond I'm going to miss the QWERTY, but actually it won't be a big problem, because I use the QWERTY only for typing SMSes and surfing, not much other...
What do you think? Should I trade it?
I wouldnt be too sure about trading it.
I recently went from a S710 (qwerty) -> Touch Cruise (none qwerty) -> TyTN II (qwerty) and ive found that, in truth, going fro a qwerty handst to a full touchscreen is horrible.
Admittently the upgrade to a VGA screen wouldnt be a nice perk but id stick with youre TyTN II.

Exactly my reason of not wanting the diamond or the iphone! a slide out keyboard is WAAAY to convenient since i email from my phone for work all day long!
qwerty keyboard ftw! tho idk...the htc touch HD....for me its between that and the touch pro...or mayb the new samsung phone :S
edit: U should trade for the diamond, sell it and get the touch pro

Unique Kaiser (Orange OEM housig) for sale!...(i switched to TouchPRO)

Due to move to the HTC Raphael, there's a beautifull and very unique TyTN II for sale now... http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320302813398&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=011
The starting price is high...i know...but this is something very special...and it doesn't HAVE to go... I personally 'pimped' this Kaiser, and it's in perfect condition, comes with a Dutty WM6.1 release, and with the spare parts to make it black again (and a brandnew slider-mechanism, for if this one wears out).
How are you finding the Raphael? Worth the money to change?

Confused - TyTN version

After months I decided again to go with a Windows Mobile based PDA as a primary phone. The N95 just did not do the job, so, I thought the TyTN II still might be the best choice for me. The old Hermes was the last PDA I owned.
I bought mine directly from NewEgg here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875502007
Surprisingly, I already had seen on the pictures that the item does not have a front camera for video phones. Well, this service is not yet supported in the US, so, it just was not important to me.
Now, after I received the item today, another strange thing:
The keyboard does not look like on the real TyTN II but it matches the keyboard of the AT&T Tilt.
The box and all accessoirs match the HTC version rather than the AT&T Tilt version. IMEI and Serial# of the device match the label on the box. It further says on the box HTC TyTN II P4551. ROM version is WM 6.1.
So, my question:
What version do I really have? What do I have to care about in case I want to flash it? Would I have to go with AT&T flashing guides rather than with guides for the Kaiser?
Just trying to sort out the differences - sorry in case this has been asked already before.

Enter your bootloader and read the top line "KAISXXX" (where XXX is 100,110,120 or 130), then look under "Specs of some Kaiser variants" on the HTC Kaiser wiki page.

Dave
Well,
I guess this is the AT&T variant then. It says clearly KAIS100 and the keyboard is definitely from an AT&T Tilt (blue FN key and silver number block).
I just wonder why HTC would change the front plate (AT&T Logo) back to HTC, then flashes it wit the generic HTC software and packs everything nicely in a HTC box?
see if you can register it at the htc e-club because the At&t branded device's can't.

Yeah,
I was thinking of that but I am planing to return / exchange for the MWg Zinc II. The lack of video drivers for the TyTN II is quite annoying already by just surfing the web! I am not sure if a downgrade to WM 6.0 would fix that?
However,
attached 2 pictures of my TyTN II Hybrid. Sorry for the bad quality but it is still clear enough. Strangely, even the box shows this device with the AT&T Keypad! It almost looks to me as if HTC had an over-production of AT&T Tilts and now they throw the left-overs on the market as P4551 (which really seems to be the AT&T with HTC Logo and box).

I just now checked and found that you can register for At&t tilt also in HTC club.
The tytyn has a slower processor and uses an inferior gps chipset.
It does have a little more memory but to date I have not had a prob with my 256/64 config. For some reason the data on my zinc is innacurate (pdadb). It says the zinc has a 2.5 mm audio jack (proprietary it is).
Video is easy with core player 1.2.5 b 4506.
