oz
is on the ftp site under ext roms us
Instant messenger
Good luck!
AgileMessengerWMSP.exe

I think this is it. Pulled it from the T-Mobile extended ROM.

Not sure if this matters, but that's the smartphone version. The PPC version can be found here.

I'm thinking it's been modified for the t-mo network. I can't get it working wtih wifi either but that Agile Messenger works fine with wifi. Too bad it doesn't work on the Cingular network.
Got it downloaded and installed. thanks for the help guys. Im a newbie with this wizard. THough not with bleeding edge tech and rom upgrades. my sx66 had 5.0 on it. Then i sold it for $458. I paid $404 for it. If only T-Mo would update soon. Then i wouldnt have to "void" my warranty.
new rom is out from tmob
check the form index
What is OZ? How does it compare to MSN or Agile? Does it use Jabber or something similar?
OZ
and not talking about the HBO show
Oz is the default chat program from t-mobile it does yahoo icq aim
it uses txt messaging protocals so if you dont have unlimited text mess you will be billed for every send or recieve.
where the other Agile or the other programs that come from some one else use your Data edge tech not txt messasaging and will bill on that so if you have the internet plan if would fall under that not Txt messaging plan
OZ makes more money for T-mobile since most dont relize that it is using Txt messaging to send and recieve. and t-mob does not make that clear at all.
Bu99er that then. I'll leave it off, and stick with Agile.
Hi,
So, I recently got the Tmo MDA. And I'm pleased with it thus far. However, I know that it installed the OZ IM since I have it in my remove programs list - but where's the actual APP? It's not in the programs section....
Thanks,
Q
should be in
active syc to beable to remove it there
Oh, I know how to remove it, but where is this OZ IM application? I don't see an icon for it on my programs list.....
--Q
oz
says instant messaging not oz till you click it
I don't have any icon called instant messaging in my programs....Am I missing something?
--Q
maybe
the program
Ok, so...maybe I'm not making this clear.....I clearly have it "installed" on my PDA since it's there in my remove programs list, and I saw it being installed when I first turned on the pda and it ran through the customizations. I don't seem to have it listed in my programs, where on the PDA is it installed? Maybe I can run it manually just to see what it looks like....

First of all, I've been using my wing with Touch-It v2.0 for close to a week now, and absolutely love it.
My only complaint is how the SMS messages are categorized. I've used a Treo, both Palm and Windows versions, and one of my favorite features is the way the SMS messages are put into folders by sender, similar in look and feel to an IM program.
If anyone has any idea how I could get my SMS on my wing to look like they do on a Treo 650/750, I would greatly appreciate any information.
Thanks.
try pocketcm it has sms feature kinda wat ur looking for
Thanks, already had PocketCM, didn't realize it had that SMS feature.
Now if only I could get my default messaging to work the same.
After flashing HTC Rom i keep getting these random text messages from WC something wtih a bunch of numbers.. what is this?
If they say WVCI####, then most likely you used OZ Messenger for IM previously? And you didn't log out of OZ properly. you just closed the app...
See this my post in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338690&highlight=wvci
Others have also said that you get this problem if you install OZ IM on your storage card and not your main memory. I'm skeptical of that, but some said it works. I stopped using OZ after day 1 so I don't know if it does or not...But the "logging in and logging out properly" method worked for me when I did have the issue that day. Also, you can log into your IM accounts on your PC. This forces the old connections from your phone to close and thus also shoudl end the messages.
tahnks for the help but what is OZ messenger? how do i log out
OK, if you don't use OZ messenger for IM, then it may not be the issue. Can you type the exact contents of one of the messages? and how often do they arrive?

Yup, that is most likely the OZ IM ping SMS message. You never used Instant Messaging on your phone before or after flashing? OZ IM comes installed on the Tilt by default, i beleive.
Do you use ANY instant messaging? I mean, even on your PC? If so, log into all your IM accounts on your PC, and see if that stops the SMS messages.
It's gotta be something related to OZ instant messenger program.
i logged into AIM before the flash, but i dont have AIM on the new HTC Rom
how should i fix this?
thanks for the help btw
The easiest suggestion may be to go to a PC and log into your AIM account on the PC. Since this should force your previous session from the phone closed, it should stop the messages.
I don't know much more about AIM to be able to help. Do they have a mobile version? Or install some IM program that supports AIM. (I've heard good things about Mundu IM, but there are others - do a search on this forum). Install the program and use it to log into AIM. This shoud also stop it. And let you use AIm on your phone go forward. I don't know about the ROM you installed to know if it has an IM program built into it already. Whatever IM program you do use, make sure you log out before you shut the program down.
That's about as much help as I can provide since I don't use AIM, and don't know about the ROM you installed...I only use Windows Messenger (Live) and Skype...
thanks got it fixed, appreciate it
For future reference, and others who might have the issue later, how did you manage to get them messages to stop?
I presume the method of logging in from a PC resolves the issue.
Any one use this program? I was wondering if anyone know how to set it to vibrate everything I get a message from AIM.
i was wondering the same thing too. would be really helpful if it vibrated every time a new message is received. is there anyone that could assist us out there?
I used the search function but didn't get any definitive answers..
What are some good AIM clients that to some certainty don't end up counting as Text/IM by AT&T? Or, which clients use Text/IM so I can avoid them?
Also, which of the data-based clients allow you to click on links sent in messages? Neither the included AIM client on my Fuze nor the official AIM for Windows Mobile allow me to click or highlight text in the messages. Major flaw IMO.
I never text message, yet right now I see a 170 message usage under my phone number which I realize to be my AIM usage. At 20 cents each, I'm sure as hell going to stop that.
Any suggestions would be great, I just need a starting point.
EDIT:
Any other AT&T charges I should know about? :\
.. Alright so all the replies are gone, that's fine. The only unanswered question for me is..
Does anyone know if AOL's own AIM client, the one here:
http://mobile.aol.com/aolproducts/aim-for-windows-mobile
uses text/SMS or data? I'd really like to know for sure.
I use Palringo. Im not sure if its a txt deal, ive never cared i have unlimited, but the program is awesome. Just be aware that if you leave it on you battery with drop about 10% an hour.
