Kaiser new user - Merged 3 Questions...

hi all just a quick post i have just signed up on the HTC site when i type in my S/N number it is saying that there is no such S/N ihave tried to ring orange but they dont know what iam trying to do i just want to know if there is going to be a free upgrade to the phone to windows mobile 6.1 if not is there any other way of getting the update
any help would be great thanks in advance

Official versions of WM6.1 have not shipped yet. If you want an unofficial version, start with the stickies and the wiki found in my sig, to learn how to flash ROMs found in the development section.
If you have any additional questions, you should try to post in an existing thread.

FWIW, my ROMs are not 6.1

Make sure you don't use any of the ROM's with the name Alex in it. They don't have 3D video drivers. HEHE
Just kidding, none of them do.

Hi,
To start with click on the Gettings Started link in my Sig and read, all the information is there in verbose form.
But in short:
First you need to install HardSPL, this allows your phone to be flashed with a new ROM without it been bricked.
Once that is installed you can select and Flash your new ROM.
If the ROM you flash does not include a Radio then you may need to install a compatable radio. Click on the radios link in my sig and install a version to match your Windows Mobile Version.
If you have any problems with this post your problem in the relevant thread (all the threads are in the Getting Started Link in my sig).

Just as a matter of interest, why do you think you need a new Rom on your phone? Or, how do you even know that new Roms are available?
You've obviously read far enough to realise that the new Roms are both available and better, so why not read a bit more and answer your question yourself...

Why don't you contact your provider or HTC?

Android Stutio Tutorial Project error

So I'm pretty new to android development and I'm going through the tutorials on the android development site and I'm having a problem.
The code that the tutorial says will be in activity_my.xml is in content_my.xml.
So here is my question:
Can someone please refer me to a tutorial site for android studio as well as Java. Text based only please, I unfortuantely have a data cap.

You don't have to worry about that.Latest Android Studio came this new feature.You can delete that ,if you wanted.
I think ,androidexample.com is beginner friendly.
You can also visit themakeinfo.com for Intermediate tutorials

Htc M8 Sprint Version Error Screen Problem

hello All my Dear Boss & XDA Devloper
I face this in htc one M8 mobile
it doesn't open normal anymore and when it open it just show me the welcome screen n stop on it and when i try to reset factory it says this error to me at th welcome screen also
this build is for development purpose only Do not distribute outside HTC without HTC`s permission
failure to comply may lead to legal action
i don't know what happen or how i can fix this so please if you can help me BIG thanks for ALL developers

Did u unlock ur bootloader recently? This messege comes after unlocking the bootloader. If the factory reset could not solve ur problem then flash the firmware and rom again. This might help

A simple Hello, it's better than nothing and introducing yourself with a few words would be excellent.
After try to explain what you want exactly.
For exemple, you want to build or flash a custom rom ?
It's really different!
