Everytime I install a dial pad skin I notice that my notifications will not sound anymore. Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem and how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

Hello all,
I have noticed the following problem lately on my TyTN2 (original Norwegian ROM): After a while, the phone goes silent. It doesn't vibrate or ring when I receive messages and phone calls.
This seems to apply only to the ring/SMS tones. It plays sound files fine, and I am able to make a phone call.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solution?

Check that you didn't change the settings in the Sounds and Notifications settings menu.
Make sure that under the Sounds Tab the Programs box is checked along with the Notifications box.
I forgot to mention that after a soft reset, it's back to normal.
It seems like the settings aren't changed.
(Having your phone in vibration mode) Have you guys ever experienced the 5 sec mail notification vibrating in the middle of calls annoying both you and the caller??
The Japanese phones over here usually disable vibration notifications during phone conversations by default...I'm confused as to why the Diamond does not act the same way...
Has anyone else experienced the same? If so, is there a solution to this problem?
Was anyone able to figure this out? or I am the only have this issue

Nah.. i have this problem as well.. it gets pretty annoying when there's a constant buzzing while I'm trying to talk... lol...
A similar thing happens when an SMS is received while i'm on a call..
Unlike the other non-windows phones i've had where it might simply make a beep, my diamond actually plays the entire SMS ringtone from the speaker over the voice of the person who i'm talking to.... (I dont know if the other person actually hears it...)
hopefully someone has a solution to either of these problems....

I have the exact same problem. It is very annoying and sometimes it makes me feel like I want to chop my phone in 2 pieces. Is it a hardware or software problem? Does anybody has any ideeas how we could solve this?
I like to use audible keypad tone on the dialer and on my Note 8 i can barely hear them , and I have all volume levels including system at max.If anyone knows a fix for this I would be thankful ,I have tried various volume raising apps but none did anything to help .
Have you tried the sound settings and switching on the dialer tones toggle?
This one
Yes i have that toggle on but it is barely audible and i also have longer tone set for 3 seconds and it is a quick 1/2 second tone even when i hold my finger down on the keys ,1st phone i had a problem with this .

Any chance you're covering the speaker when you dial? If not, have you tested your hearing to see if you have difficulty with the frequencies used for the keypad tones?
I encounter exactly the problem as jameskoiman. My dialling keyboard is no sound eventhough alr select for the dialling keyboard tone to ON.
Any fix for this? The same is on Galaxy S6.
Speaker probably clogged with belly button lint.

This thread has been cleaned As well this was a old thread and reply was months ago there is never any need to revive old topics like this as all it does is start more issues..........
When I have an incoming call, the bottom speaker only fire up not both. It only works while the phone is on a straight surface. Anyone having this issue? I tried "disable increasing ringtone" app but it needs licence. Anyone have an alternative app or a fix for that problem? I really can't hear my phone while it was ringing. Plz help.:crying:
hi all after 1 week of trying i figure out how to fix the problem simply delete the file with name ((SoundBoosterParam.txt)). in the root/system/vendor/etc
you're done
Can I do.it without root?
