why do i get this message when i receive a multimedia message from a friend?
"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your device."
I did some research, some people said that the message can't be larger than 300KB, is there any solution?
Mod Edit:: Message moved to correct forum.

any ideas as to what might be causing it?
anybody know what the problem could be? its effectively dead if a cant text
What is the exact error message you get when you try sending a message and is the SIM capable of sending SMS with other phones?
Did you check if message center number is entered correctly?

Hmm. For some reason its started working again. Basically, under the message list in the small bar where it says "SMS/MMS 3 Items, 2 Unread"
it just displayed the message "Error Syncronising" and a pop up alert read "Your message cannot be sent"
Not sure how it started working again though.
When in the message inbox, press right or left arrow button. It navigates to Outlook mail area.. Probably you tried sending SMS thru outlook account

Done a search, but can't find any info on this.
I have a problem every now and again the when sending e-mails via Kaiser (GPRS or WiFi) where the e-mail is only partially sent, and I get an error message stating the failure, and to check settings (generic error message with no actual detail on the error).
After some testing I find the problem is related to specific text within the e-mail body - with the message having been partially sent, but cropping off before the end - usually at a period character.
As the message stays in my outbox an attempt to re-send sends the same cropped message.
Even worse, all other message sin the outbox think they have failed to send too, even though they do not have the same problem and have actually been sent.
If I re-edit the text I can sometimes get the message to send.
If I place all messages in the drafts folder (after a failure) and send one at a time all but the one with the problem text in its body will send fine.
I have had this issue with WM5 and now WM6.
Anyone got any ideas?
Hi,
I got an MMS earlier from a friend whose number is in my phones contact list (phone memory - not SIM). The message displayed his number, not his name - despite him being in my contacts. This is annoying as I couldnt work out who it was from until I called the sender and his name flashed up at that point.
After searching google and XDA dev I can find many references to this exact issue, but no solutions
Anyone got any ideas??

I'm having the same problem. Always had it with all 6.1 ROMs. Or at least that's when I started noticing it. I just flashed the ATT rom so I'll see if I still get the same problem. I had it with Laurentius and HTC roms.
Yep, I have it too.
I just got an SMS and it displayed the senders name on the notification bubble.
When I closed the bubble and went to view it in Messaging the message showing in Inbox was also showing the senders name - the MMS messages above still only had senders numbers (even though one of the MMS senders had their name showing on an SMS below).
It looks like MMS messages are the cause somehow!?

Is it possible to send pictures via sms on the Diamond? Or would I have to download a new program for it? Any suggestions, I couldn't find any topics on this one.
I found I could receive text messages with pictures, but the text message gives me a link to an outside site.
Most Diamond ROMs come with a program called Arcsoft MMS already installed. Assuming you have already run Connection Setup, sending and receiving MMS should be enabled.
Sometimes you have to send an MMS before your network will let you receive one properly.
Hi everyone,
I have AT&T and the Fuze. I can receive MS Word documents, open them, edit them, and save them. My problem is that I can not SEND them anywhere. I can't reply to or forward any messages that have MS Word attachments. AT&T said to save the document and send it as a new message but that does not work either. I get a message stating "The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct". It also has a message at the bottom of the screen that says "Error Synchronizing." All other messages and attachments work fine, it is only affecting MS Word attachments. Any ideas about this? My buddy also has the Fuze with AT&T and has the same problem so I know it is not me. AT&T tech support is as usual clueless and says they have never heard of anything like this before.
Thanks,
Jake
