I ve a big pb today, during rom flashing electricity cut off and pc turn off.
My device was 21% processing when it crash now it stays in this 21%
i dont know what to do, do i turn off device by ejecting battery ?
is there any way to do something to rescue my device or is it dead ?

OK problem solved
so if you have this pb a day, just plug out battery and restart device it stays at the 3 colors screen so restart upgrade, it will update again your device and its ok.

Whilst attempting to flash the WWE 1.93 ROM my diamond lost connectivity at 87% of the way - consequently I performed a soft reset which seemed to turn the device off.
The phone now won't switch back on - both a soft / hard reset fail to coerce any life back into it.
Curiously the LED which illuminates the centre button and normally glows when charging now doesn't light up - even when the Diamond's plugged into a power socket.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Have you tried taking the battery out for a few minutes?
I have, to no avail unfortunately.
Is it possible that whilst the device is being flashed the diamond is instructed not to charge via usb and that it has retained that setting which would explain why it's not charging now?
And that my battery is flat, which could potentially be what caused the failed flash in the first place and is the cause of the device's current failure to switch on. So potentially all this would be fixed by simply inserting a charged battery?
Or is that just foolishly optimistic?
Have you managed to get your device back to life?
Mine had to soft reset and after this it didn't do anything. No boot, nor do I see the icon blink when I connect it to a charger.
Afraid not.
In the end I ended up sending it to the warranty centre - it arrived there yesterday and apparently their engineer has yet to determine liability (whether it's human error or claimable under warranty).
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for the quick response. I will let my Diamond alone without the battery for one day to see if it will wake up. Otherwise I'll send my device back for warranty as well.
Wont Turn On
My Diamond will not turn on either. Nothing destructive was done to the phone. I installed a brand new charged battery and that didn't solve the problem. Hitting reset does nothing also..... I'm stumped..
I've returned my device under warranty. They've replaced the main board of the device, had no problem since.
if you have not any warranty yet and you want to fixed the device? what other solution remains? because i have also try to update my htc touch diamond rom and before the 0% start my device turn off and from that time is dead !! any solution is acceptable . thanks

Same problem with my brother's phone. One day it stopped tuning on or charging without any particular reason. I ordered a new battery and tried with that but same thing. No charging. Only once after a leaving the original battery out of the phone for a few minutes when I reconnected it and tried to charge it lit the charging button for a couple of times and then off again and from then on it has never done that not even once.
Hi, I have been using my HTC diamond toch for nearly 2 1/2 months. a few days ago, i did a rom update using Dutty's rom update. All went fine duing the update. used the phone for about 5 days nonstop, no issues at all.
But yesterday all of a sudden the phone has swtiched off by itself, now it doesn't switch on. Thought the battery might be dead so i tried charging but the enter buttton area doesnt glow and there is no sign of charging.
I switched batteries with a friend to see whether it was faulty but it is in good condition.
What do u think the issue will be ?

I have the same problem. I've just got my phone back from being repaired as the touch screen got all messed up and now it won't charge. I plug it in and the touch pad does the charge animation twice then stops. It'll randomly try to turn on but it doesn't even get to the point where the red writing apears before it turns off again.

Here's what you can all try ....
First you guys need to know that de HTC does not charge if the rom is inconplete/damaged .
And.....
If your batery is realy dead there is no initial power on the internal battery to manage the chargement.
So ... resolution.
Fist way .
If you know any one that may have an other HTC Diamond you need to swamp batteries so the good Diamond that has the internal bat ok and charge it there.
Second way . this one i did it my self .
Go to a Local ChinaMan store and buy a multimeter and a regular Universal Adapter.
Heres how it hoes ...
Use the Multimeter do figure out the polarity pin's on the battery ex: + and - .
remove / cut one of the plug's from the Universal transformer and also tag the polarity.
set the voltage to be close to 5 V - 1 Amp .
Can be 4,5v or 5.5v no sweat
Conect the cuted wire from the Univ. Adapter to the Diamond Battery respecting the polarity.
Leave it for a wile..... ( Probably up to 1 hour but chec from time to time tme battery temperature and if possible a reading on the bat voltage levels.)
Done!
Put the battery bat and boot your diamond or turn on to boot loader.
**** Attention if you don't have more than 50% of the bat charge compleated you wont be able to flash your phone****

its just...my battery was full before the upgrading...i was Unlocking my Diamond..and the upgrade didnt move more than 0% just when i looked on my mobile...there was black screnn...pluged it out..tried to power on..nothing..tried to charge...nothing again..i tried hard reset(vol down+power+back+reset)..it just wont turn on..please help me..im in panic
Help, I have the same problem and my battery was fully charged before this happened. Voltage reading is 4.2V on the battery.
I also tested the power button and there is nothing wrong with it, it conducts when pushed.
Usually pluging in the charger should start it up, but it will not start.
Anyone have any solutions?
I couldn't fix mine so phones 4 u replaced it with a touch hd

I had the same exact problem two days ago.The phone was not charging while it was on,and when it was off it did that charging light animation twice and then third time the litght managed to get in the middle of the button and sudennly stopped. So here is my solution . I'v managed to charge the battery on another phone and turned my Diamond back on. While still attached to charger and power source i'v performed a soft reset (by pressing the reset button beneath the stilus) ...the phone reseted and now it's all ok.

I had same problem , no solution yet.
When I had a Mpx220 I had fixed changing a fuse, but I can´t see nothing in internet guides or foruns.
If someone knows how to repair tell us, becouse htc service in our country isn´t good and my device is outdate warranty.

I have the same problem but on my samsung corby GT-i5500. I installed the clockworkmod on my mobile by rom manager and rebooted in recovery, I think i've installed a wrong version and now it does not turn on at all! what should I do? my parents will kill me if they discover that ive broke my phone

lately i've encountered a problem with my Phone when the battery reaches around 40% it bugs down .. resetting and doesnt work while the SIM is in the unit, when you remove the SIM the phone is usable again
while using my mobile data a couple of days ago my phone automatically restarted ( with a battery of 50% )
it keeps restarting when my charger isnt plugged in...
i depleted the battery to see if it would fix the issue
here's the situation of my phone :/ ....

my SIM and Micro SD are not in the phone when i recorded that video
i charged it for 2 hours and instead of what happened on the video i now get a green light from the LED and the "Sony" logo appearing...

btw... my phone isnt rooted

May be you need to download flashtool for Sony Xperia devices, correct ftf files of both 4.1.2 and 4.3 for your device region and flash older first then flash new version.
If problem continues, its got to be hardware.

I left my phone to download a few Mb of data for a game using Wifi. The phone was connected with PC thourgh USB cabel. When i came back red light was on and now it´s dead. I can´t turn it on anymore, everything it does is blink red light 3 times when i press the Turn on button.
Bootloader is unlocked.
Can i do something or is it really dead?
It seems i overheated the battery ... i cleaned arround the battery connector and now it works again - charging from 0%

Hello i have problem when my phone baterry have 14% and then i plug in charge,and screen is become black,try press on screen but nothing,try power+volume up nothing,plug in charge nothing :/ What i can do? :/
im having the same problem as of today. phone doesnt seem to want to take a charge, black screan after reboots then switches back of then repeats the process been strugling all night with it trying to read up and find a solution. if any1 can help would be much appreciated
