I have found a seller with an 8125 that has dead mainboard (water damage), and an MDA that's all beat up with a working mainboard. Is it possible to install the MDA mainboard inside the 8125 housing? Do all the buttons and cables line up properly for this to work?
Thank you.

hello,
i used the MDA II for a while, so i got many accessories for it. One of them is the car charger which connects my gps and my pocket pc with the power of my car. Since i sold my mda, and bought a hp 4155, i was wondering wether i have to buy a new car charger, or can i use the same. I tried to get it into my ipaq, and it fits. But i'm affraid to put it in the power to ruine my device or its battery.
So, what's your advice?
thanks guys!
don't use it - it fits but pin connectors are wrong so you kill your motherboard
My new job is in a office with no signal network !
If I left my Tytn II 6 meters away from me it works...so the questions is: there is a way to connect an external gprs antenna? I am not speaking about an external Gps antenna but the antenna to make call.
Thanks!
There are two antenna ports on the back of the kaiser beneath the battery cover. Looking at the back of your phone with the USB connector down, the GPS antenna port is on the right and the CELLULAR port is on the left. You can by a antenna at radio shack with an adapter that will plug into the celluar port on your phone. The one I got does not fit will and has to be held in with a rubber band. It works well as I have a 100 ft cable to the roof of my building and I get full signal where as I get none from my office without the external antenna.

That's exactly it, but that's only the adapter and plug for you phone. You'll still need the antenna. Good luck!

My Tilt isn't syncronizing no more with PC, it used to work well but suddenly stopped. When I conect the cable just charges and nothing else. With the same cable Qtek S100 and TouchDual activate Activesync. Is there any way to reinstall just activesync on my Tilt?

I had what sounds like the exact same issue.....it turned out to be the pins in the usb connector on the device in that they were not contacting properly when the cable was plugged in....I was able to VERY GENTLY bend the pins back up which solved the issue immediately (need to be VERY careful not to bend them too much as they'll break) the centre of the connector is pretty flimsy as well so you need to take extreme care when doing this. I used a staple to push the pin up from the tip of the pin in the connector. It helps to have a magnifying glass or similar when your doing this.
Hope this helps. Cheers GT.
thanks you saved my life, i moved the pins activesync letme use the phone, already unlocked it
Hi,
I have an old adpter for a car from Brodit for my old iPaq h2210. I found that the connector is physically the same for my "new" HTC Alpine (Qtek 2020i).
I found that most pinouts from http://pinouts.ru/PDA/ipaq_22p_pinout.shtml seem to match with the connector (small SMD board). The connector is only for Power and serial.
Pin 1-4 are connected together to form "+"
Pin 22,15,10 are solded together to form (obviously) GND
The Pins for RxD and TxD are hidden under the connector (damn small SMD).
Does anybody know the correct pinout of Alpine? Is it the same as http://pinouts.ru/PDA/pda_wallaby_pinout.shtml ?
Which pins do I exactly need to sold together for "+" and GND?
I think I cut the conductor path with a knife and solder together the appropriate pins and sold them together.
Do you think this is correct? First cut the paths for V_ADP and GND and then sold together 20,21,22 for V_ADP and 16,17,18 for GND?
Thank you,
