Real cool! If you can check it out for me, id appreciate it!

Resetting call timer is simple & safe...!
Resetting the call timer can be easily done... I did this several times on wm2003. But couldn't try on wm6.1. But I hope the results would be the same.
1. First check the call timer seperately for incoming & outgoing calls by START -> SETTINGS -> SYSTEM -> DEVICE INFORMATION -> CALL DURATION. Please make sure you write it down.
2. Now get a calculater and devide each value by 24 to get the call duration in days.
3. Now back calculate that amount of days from current data and time and find the corresponding date - month and year and note it down.
4. Now make a outgoing call. You cal call a free number as to check your account ballence.
5. While u r in d call get in to the clock application and reset the clock to the date U calculated by the above calculation for outgoing call duration.
PLEASE NOTE: Never set a date back intime that is more than the call duration...
6. Close clock application and then Cut the call.
7. Now reset the clock to current date & time.
8. Now check the call duration.
9. Ask someone to call you and do the same procedure for incomming calls.
I repeat, Never exceed the call duration in back calculation of date. It's ok to set a lesser duration, but not more.
Sorry about my english, if U still have problems, ask me.

This happened to me too... but U can stiil use the same method. First set ur clock to 2080 or something and while on the call set it to 1980. (In my i-mate I cannot set a date earlier than 1980) Repeat it for 3 rounds. The best way is when U r close to around 50hrs in call timer, go year by year back... And also remember to turn off the reminders and alarms before starting this, otherwise the alarm notifications will b a headache. Try it mate.

Wake up! Diamond! :-(

Hi all the xda guru. Many people like me experienced a problem of HTC Diamond:
In standby mode, if a new SMS comes in. Diamond won't make any sound an vibration even THEY HAVE BEEN SET in the "Sounds & Configuration". I tried to disable the TouchFLO3D, and this problem won't happen again.
Is this a bug? Anyone is developing a fix to this problem?????
Thanks!!!
Yes I have the same problem. The phone won't ALWAYS...but SOMETIMES only vibrate when the screen is off. However, whenever I turn the screen on, it will vibrate and notify me. Just a minor glitch I suppose!
wait for the rom-upgrade. hope allthe problems will be solved..
ok. SMS wake up is disabled by default in registry. thats in HKLM\drivers\builtin\ril
as far as I am remeber. I will confirm soon. that needs to be enabled.
I see the reason for this though:
if you phone wakes up to SMS it shortens the battery life for you.
EDIT:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL :
DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <-- set to "1" by default. meaning NO wake up to SMS message
Change this value to "0", soft reset you phone and verify that value is correct.
I hope it helps.
P.S. please add this to Diamond Tweaks thread

Thanks man! Is there one for email..or?
it supposed to FLASH LIGHT for you for 5 minutes by default instead of waking up phone to that.. that should be logically enough to alert you. If it does not, I would also add to that:
Settings-->Sound and notifications-->Notifications -->Messaging: New e-mail message:
1. Play sound (choose one) or even repeat as well.
2. Display message on Screen
I hope it helps.

I can confirm this. On new email the light flashes. But now, for me, suddenly it doesn't, anymore (it flashes AFTER I turn it on which makes not too much sense). Can anybody help? I think I checked everything and also I didn't change a setting. Somehow it does not react to new email until I switch it on. Of course I only use standby and not turn it off completely with long push on the button.

Frank

Are there any fixes for this yet? Having to turn the phone on (out of sleep) to see if there are emails when it should alert you makes auto email retrieval kinda pointless.

Is there a way to wake-up the Diamond when i get an email message?
So far I have to check manually if there is email. No wake-up, no sound.

mate hows ur phone?

Any ideas how to fix the problems?

Hi, not sure if anyone having similar problems or not.
Problem 1: I live in Sydney, I've set the time to GMT+10 Sydney, after a while, the phone automatically change the time setting to GMT+10 Vladivostok. Any idea how to fix this minor problem?
Problem 2: When I put my phone to stand-by mode (eg. after a while the phone's screen is off or phone automatically lock up), when some one send the sms to my phone, the phone does not play the warning sound for incoming message, until I turn on screen than the phone play the incoming sms sound.
Problem 3: Weather--- I've download the update for weather for the whole week. For example, on Monday night I've downloaded the weather, the screen showing the weather at night (for Monday), than On tuesday morning, the weather screen does not update to Tuesday's weather, it just stay for monday night's weather screen. Does Dimond automatic update the weather for each day base from the data which already downlaoded?
Thanks for you help!
ohh guys... how come no one can answer my problems??
1. happened to me also. i don't care if it is jerusalem+ or beirut+2. do you really care? for a possible solution see also post # 11.
2. somewhere in the forum there is a tweak (or a registry edit?) for this. i think there are ROMs with this bug solved.
3. you can choose to have the weather update manually or automatically.
weather/menu/settings/download weather automatically (thick for auto).
there not such thing like downloading the weather Monday for the whole week...the weather is changing (like when they said tomorrow-rain and you walk all next day feeling ridiculous with yr umbrella and the sun is shining ).
if it is important for you live it on manual and each time you sync with yr pc download the weather. is cheap and fast and daily.

If you ask me, it's a bit stupid that it changes the time zone constantly when you select to sync the time. By the looks of it, it always changes the time zone to the last item in that zone (Ulaanbaatar is the last item in +8).

Only way I have found to fix this is to go the Phone Settings area, Then Time Zones and turn off "Automatic change time zone and clock" . I had this same issue with my TyTnII and now my Diamond. My guess is the Telco Networks transmit the time as raw UTC along with an offset, but without a location stamp. Something like "it is currently 0230UTC and this location is GMT+10". It is then up to the WM6.x to go into its list of timezomes and I bet it just grabs the first in its list that is +10, so Vladivostok. Buggers up summertime offsets too.
Good news is if you leave this turned off the time will still get updated when you activsync by way of HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Clock\NetworkTimeSync.
Just that it wont automtically change when you move time zones for example.
I've set mine to off, I'll report back in a few days, sounds like it will be fine looking at previous post by Logger.

what I mean was you know when you hook up to the net and downloaded the update for the weather, the phone will update for the whole week's data. As soon as the update is done, the phone will show you the weather of the same day (the date you updated e.g. Monday), but the following day (Tuesday), the weather still showing Monday's weather and doesn't change the date Tuesday, but I know the weather for tueday was also downloaded (yeah I know the weather maybe is not up-to-date since was downloaded on Monday).

ring delay

hi guys,
do you have ring delay (about 3 seconds) on your diamond? there is a thread for wm5 but not for wm6.1, and the registry tweaks didnt work for me. I didnt try wma formats though, I want to pick a mp3 ringtone and want it to ring when it is suppose to!
anybody have this problem?
wav only...no delay for my diamond with this.
Try having your ringtone on Main Memory instead of Internal storage. Usually ringtones in Storage card may have the delay due to the power supply delays but not sure with Internal storage. Try anyway and let us known.
Regards,
Carty..
To delete 3secs ring delay:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dialing
Script=(change to "ap")
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0
Script=(change to "av0pr")
using search i found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400590
there are more.
no luck, nothing worked so far.. still delays.

I've tried that. It worked for me with the Phone skin disabled. But when I have my phone skin enabled, it is still quick, but the WAV playback stutters during the first 2-3 seconds as if it is running out of CPU resource.
I'm using Belite 0.97 btw.
ok, now works, if i use wav and disable the phone skin, which i dont really want to disable.

Trying all those suggestions didn't work for me either. Best I got was to trim the MP3 to as small as possible. The ringtone seemed to load up quicker this way. There is a small delay on most phones. Not just the Diamond.
If your just not getting to the phone in time before the answerphone is kicking in then you can extend the time it takes before the answerphone kicks in. If your on Orange I can give you the code.
I wouldnt mind that code please, im on Orange an it does my tits in how quickly my answerphone kicks in! in the mean time im gonna try to shorten the size of my mp3 ringtone and see if it reacts quicker when somebody calls me!

I believe the maximum is 30 seconds and as this is a network-timer you cannot go beyond it.
Is yours set at 30? Check it under Comm Manager > Settings> Phone > Services > Call Forwarding (Get Settings)

No SMS notification in standby mode.

Hi,
New to this forum - hello everyone.
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about and I'm sure it's been tackled before on the Diamond forum - but search isn't helping me out here.
Basically i'm reffering to the issue where I get no SMS tone when the phone turns off the screen (powersaving/standby) - only the ring of light flashes.
Is there a know solution? I've already edited the registry (disablewakeon something??), and sms notifcation on screen! No luck!
Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried Start->settings->Sounds&Notification->Notifications and then from drop down choose new SMS and set accordingly
i think you want to say that there is no notification on screen when the ph is in standby mode, but when u wake up ur ph or recieve a call then it shows the sms notification.....if thats ur problem then try downloading tweak pack available in the forum.....in that tweak pack there is an option to show notification whenever u recieve a sms,no matter if the ph is in stndby mode
Tried setting a ringtone to a waveform file (for example WAV, WMA or MP3)?
My TD refuses to work with MIDI so I just replaced them with WMAs.

i'm actually playing a midi (the nokia sms tune) but it works fine when not in standby .... did yours do that too? (i.e. work when not it standby and vice versa!?)
I've also tried the registry fix:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <-- set to "1" by default. Change value to "0"
This didn't really do much apart from truning the screen on - still no sms tone if the phone was on standby on recieving the sms.
If there's a specific know fix for this issue your help would be appreciated as would a link to it!.
Cheers!
i have a similar prob, i get no vibration if device is set to "vibrate" by recieving new sms. if i check "vibrate" in settings - sounds - notifications then it vibrates properly in vibration mode, but then it vibrates also in normal sound mode.. rom is stock 2.03 rom

Bumping,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <-- set to "1" by default. Change value to "0"
Worked like a charm for me!
Changed the value and restarted the device.

i have the touch it x nuts flashed
i notice that the time for text messages and missed calls is off
(e.g. when someone sends me a text msg at, say, 8pm.. it will show on my phone that the text is received at 5pm or something)
does anyone kno how to fix this? i have the time and date for my phone set correctly. ive also used synchrotime to make sure its right too
thanks

Go to your registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\"
then create a dword key "TrustTimeZoneField" with dword value of 0
