Diamond RAM Usage Percentage

Hi,
My Diamond RAM usage is normally if i just did a soft reset 53%> and if i used it and turn off the screen 60% or higher...
Is this normal because i see movies on youtube where some guy has 32% usage of the RAM...
If anyone is going to recommend me to get rid of the default ROM and get myself another one, i need one that is very clos tot the stock its ROM and i'd like to have it Dutch...
i'm using the diamond from telus mobility, my ram usage on boot hovers @ 30%... with multiple programs running, itll be like 40-43%
I saw that video too I can't believe it's so low, even with the fastest cleanest rom at best it would be ~45%. I wonder if it has anything to do with CDMA vs. GSM?

Are you sure he use a diamond ? and not a touch pro ? I think the pro have more RAM, I'm wrong ?
im running right now @ 35%... how is that so impossible? lol do u guys not believe me?
Mine is more about 70%...
mine is always about 60%...when I launch a program it's about 80%
Are you using touchflow3d MightyMike? That takes a lot!
I'm running latest official ROM and the usage hardly goes over 70% ever.
At startup its ranges from 49~53%. (including gsen and some battery meter in the startup)
It seems OK to me^^.
I'd be more concerned about the RAM storage space, which is a serious issue to me!
cheers
mine @ boot = 53 and then creeps up slowly, and also creeps up after using apps (still memory leaks? )
Thats strange im using the latest stock-ROM too, well i hope htc will bring a new update and takes the RAM usage down because hovering @ 60% or higher is just too much if you want to run a program..

Using TF3D?
My ram usage is about 53% on boot with tf3d and s2u2 running.
Try to disable phone dialer skin...ram usage is 45% at startup!!!!
Just tried without the dialer : 62% at boot with T3FD. In fact i was about at 70% with the dialer...
But i don't see how to reach 45% !!!!!!! seems impossible to me ! perhaps desactivating the 3G ?
Ciao
Fred
46% at boot with smartblock running at startup. touchFlo 3d is running too. Panosha ROM. Not bad
Yes guys, i am running TF3D... put it this way i have a lot of tweaks, BUT
i've hardresetted many times, and at STOCK rom base apps, no tweaks, i boot @ 30% memory usage right now i'm @ 37% with palringo, and msn running
someone give me a small program to take screenshots, and i'll take one for you guys!
This is my memory usage upon soft reset
---------------------------------------
I possibly think its a difference in ram between the gsm vs cdma model... sorry guys!

help - running low on system resources

hi
i've been installing software on my fone since i got it about 5 days ago. everything i installed went on the INTERNAL STORAGE , nothing on the fone's memory. when i first stared using the fone , it had about 50% free resources (top right corner icon press). now , after 5 days of usage , it won't drop below 75% even if i use clean RAM or SKT - Tools cleanup utilities. i am currently using the default rom & spl , as i want to keep my warranty.
any advices on what ELSE i can do to free-up memory ?
currently i will restart my diamond every 2 days so it will free the memory till 50%..lol
any other idea?

SPB MS 3 on Diamond

hi
m using SPB MS 3 on my diamond (which has Dutty last ROM release)
however when i am using MS , the used RAM goes up from 42 % to 52 % , anybody have a similar situation with MS on their diamond ? is that huge increase normal ?
have already disabled things like animations & 3d acceleration
pls help...tq
That's not something to worry about. After you started and closed a couple of programs, and basically been running your diamond for a while, your RAM usage goes up, even when you don't have anything open. It shouldn't keep increasing though.
If it really bothers yuo try looking for CleanRam it'll be in the forum somewhere. It's a pretty cool tool.
But 52% RAM should be fineYou won't notice a difference in performance from 42%.
jz been wonderin if ppl hav been encounterin a similar scenario
not worried much bout the ram itself , but more the battery usage from the higher ram

[Q] How accurate is the run time counter?

Hello all,
many use the battery run time counter to determine how long the unit runs on one charge.
How accurate is that counter in your experience?
I have just measured run time with a stop watch (it was 6 hours 35 minutes from full to empty) - and the counter indicated 10 hours 23 minutes of run time.
Is that normal? Why would there be such a big difference between true run time and run time on the counter (the unit was switched off when not running)?
Thanks for any suggestions...
Update: it is definitely NOT accurate.
I was using my unit this morning (after fully charging over night) - and after I used it for about 15 minutes (counter was correct) I removed some apps and restarted.
After the restart the counter said 5 minutes use (at the same time my battery life was down to 91% - I literally could see the %'s go down one by one).
I suspect this is a software issue - but I have no idea what could cause it...
I am using Go launcher - is it possible that the launcher (plus its widgets) suck up a lot of power?
Thanks again for any thoughts

[Q] Battery Drops... Random restarting...

Hi, guys...
I`m facing the following problems with my XSP...
Fully charged the phone. Then when the batt goes bellow 50% the phone starts to randomly reboot and when comes back to life the batt % is dropped down with more than 10%...
Sometimes this happenes even with batt% over 50% but without the batt % drop... Yesterday it reboots at around 35% - starts - reboot again - maybe 3-4 times... Reboots soo fast after boot that I was unable to start Logcat...After that that phone calm down, stoped restarting. I`ve noticed that maybe this happened when I`m on WiFi... but maybe...
Current ROM : Slimkat LBL. Installed over clean stock 4.3 - brand new atm - its 1 day old.
I`ve tried Pacman ROM too - same thing....
Tryed Battery calibration App - the outcome was expected - zero .
My best guess is damaged /worn/ battery...
Any other ideas ?
Additional info : The phone did it again... It was in my pocket - so didn`t know at what % was the batery, but it was restarted and stayng on PIN when I took it -> shows around 67% batt. After entering PIN and finding operator network - it restarted immеdiatеly. Then - boot up -> entring PIN -> autorestart again. I`m getting a little angry...
Additional info 2 : Is it possible to be SIM-card problem... Since the phone stays ON while on PIN. And just after I entered it -> reboots... Currently testing the phone with SIM-card removed. It boots up and working without restarts so far... Will update if there is some restarts. Otherwise - I`m thinking of trying with some friends SIM-card...
News : Shut down without SIM-cad while in a game, with WiFi - On.
Will try to took some logcat...
News : Just did a factory reset to the current Slimkat ROM - when it starts the batt was at about 45-40%. After finishing and boot up - batt -> 6%... It must be the battery afterall...
Still - any ideas ?!? Or I must buy myself a new toy ....
At the moment, without any charging - battery shows 23% and the phone reboots as soon as I entered the PIN.
Battery showed in Philz Recovery - the same 23%.
Update : Restarts even on 90%...Last time I`ve managed to use the phone for more than 10 mins without reboot...
Tryed some placebo : Battery Life Repair - it shows 5-6 "low" sectors and stands that it managed to reaired them - same sh*t...
Update : Currently running 4.1.2 Stock ROM - the same...
Waiting for the holidays to end so I can send my phone to a service for diagnostic... and eventualy rapair..
Added : Logcat from Slimkat - just before restarting...
So a reboot followed by a severe battery drain.IDK whether battery problem or not but might be some hardware problem.
I suggest you to stay on stock(preferably 4.3).From my experience even i have noted some really nasty problems which were not reported by anyone but ultimately solved by returning to stock.

I`m on custom ROMs from a very very long time.... More than an year. Never experienced such problem... As I said - I`ve flashed Stock 4.3 - same problem...
The strange thing is... that the phone can stay on for a long time before entering PIN... Reboots after entered...
Plus - I can easily flash custom rom trough recovery - which takes time - without reboot or shut down...
I`ll try the phone without SD card... My previous phone - Motorola Defy had problem with some SD cards - it rebooted randomly - now I remembered...
And something more.. .I`ve recently droped the phone on the road , while running...poped out of my belt case. It has silicone case around it , but this can also be a reason - a mechanical internal damage...
I`m guessing that I`ll be forced to buy a new phone...The choice is clear - Xperia Z3 Compact, but it lacks of custom roms for now... And the stock one... well it`s stock
Working...
The phone is working now. Without SD card... The battery is draing a little faster, but not that much... I can change it afterall. But no reboots so far - more than an hour of browsing and gaming .
