Hi All,
When i try to start tomtom navigator 7 you see a startup screen than in a few seconds my touch diamond give me a error with the text not enough memory does somybody now what the problem is?? Because i have enough memmory left !!
have you got other programs running in the background?
No nothing at all !
Storrage 61 mb available,
Programs 41 mb available.
(This is the memory use)
hmm... much installed on internal memory?
i try and keep games/apps installed on Internal Storage, then just system stuff in memory
On my internal memory i got more than 1 gb space that must be enough i guese??
thats ur internal storage,
when you install a program you get a choice to install to memory or storage.
if u go to Start-> Settings -> System -> Memory, it will tell you under 'Program' how much RAM you have left to run progs. Under 'Storage' is how much storage space you have left on 'Internal Memory'.
I do not see anyware in system memory ram use only the use is marked bij mb's an than i have 47 of 111mb so that must be enough i hope?
yeh that should be fine.
i usually have around the 50mb mark, and run IGo8 and TTN7 fine...
did you install TT7 or did it come with the phone?
I install it butt i try it around 5 times and delet it when it doent work maybe there are some hidden files left behind that cause the problem?
yeh... where did u download it from?
I have the same sort of thing, except I get the memory issue, when I exit the problem lol. I too have plenty of memory on both side, using repack 3 version.
It doesn't cause any problems, except for being annoying lol
newsgroups!
I don't have this problem on mine running Dutty's 2.0 but when my friend installed it on his, he had memory problems using the official Orange shipped 1.37. I thought an update would cure it, but upgrading it to the official Orange update didn't work either. Can't remember offhand how much memory he had left to work with.
ROM related or memory related?
Presume you have soft-reset and fired up the program from scratch.....??
If this still doesn't "fix" the issue uninstall and re-install to internal storage (again?) and see if that sorts it...
If you still have the issue you may have to source a different TT7 install same (there are at least 2, repack for the "older" rev works fine for me)....
...still have an issue, then I would look to a hard reset to clear any erronious changes you may have inadvertantly made
Last Hurah......instal a different/newer W6.1 CE ROM (not sure what you are using now...)
Good luck...I'm sure you will get it
I had this and you need to uninstall it and reinstall it on your internal memory. I will not work installed to you device.

Mine works fine installed onto Internal Storage.
Hey guys, I tried searching to see if this was possible a repeated question but didn't find anything so I am sorry if it has already been covered and I missed it.
Anyways, a few days ago I put cyanogen froyo on my hero but didn't like it so I reverted back to my nandroid backup. Then I tried 2 different 2.1 roms that allowed LWPs, ZenHero and Regaw 2.1. I ended up reverting back to my original nandroid backup but now my internal memory only shows 34MB free, which was previously 16 until I ran cachecleaner. I'm somewhat of a noob to android and have been doing a lot of reading on here before I make any change to my phone. But the 34mb seems abnormally low. Is there any possibility that some of the previous ROMs have left data on my phone which is causing this? If so how can I go about completely wiping all of them from my system?
Again, sorry if this has been covered. I tried my best to see if it has been asked before, and thanks for any advice you may have.
I've said it before but I am really impressed with the developers here and the friendliness and helpfulness of the community here.
Which ROM?
How many apps you installed?
Are you using A2SD?
If you not using A2SD which move the App to SD card then you will run low on space on /data.
I'm hoping you talking about Internal Phone storage memory.

1. Currently I am back on the nandroid backup of the original 2.1. I have put on cyanogen 2.2, ZenHero, and RegawMod on it previously. I used cyanogen twice so I was worried that maybe when I installed the second time that it installed again in a separate location taking up twice the space. If that makes sense.
2. I don't know the exact number but I wouldn't say it is anything large. Maybe in the 10-15 range. I went through the application manager and sorted by size, most of them were under 1mb with a few noteable exceptions (google maps, facebook, and soem other games around the 3mb range). I did notice that my contacts storage was 20+mb, probably because it synced with my facebook and downloaded everyones picture...not just my contacts. After clearing the cache for contacts storage it went down to 340kb. I lost the facebook sync, but it was beginning to annoy me anyway.
3. Not atm, however I should probably get on this since I just got a 4 gb class 6 sdhc. I haven't messed with the partitions yet though, baby steps.
Yes, I am talking about the internal storage. I have 3+gb free on my card.
It seems like Dalvik cache and /data/data must be using up the space.
I used to have 25 mb internal storage before I moved the apps to SD. I had space problem like this long time ago with 2.0 and 2.1. After I got mine 8 GB class 6 card two moths ago, I moved my apps to SD and my internal memory is around 60 MB since than. I haven't moved my dalvik-cache to SD.
If your using 2.1 deodexed version of the ROM, I'm guessing it normal for this ROM as it use more internal space for dalvik-cache.
Other guru might cheap in to correct my understand on deodexed version of the rom.

Thanks so much, I was concerned that I was somehow dwindling my memory down and fearful that another rom would brick my phone because of a lack of space. This question wasn't based on a complaint with the phone or rom, more of a request to hear something along the lines of "it's normal" to ease my mind.
Damn...I have CM6 Nightly 8-25 and I have 125 MB free of internal storage..Only have 10 apps installed. CM6 is the ****
As the title says, I have problem with my SGS GT-I9000 with transferring files to it.
Now, from beginning:
-my Pc: windows xp sp3
-my smartphone: SGS GT I9000
Onecosmics ICS port RC3.1 flashed with CWM 5
and with Pauls newest kernel ([Kernel]-GT-i9000_Galaxy_S-4.0.3.257134.zip) also flasheed through CWM
..I found few "bugs" in this port (no Facebook sync possibility, with contacts etc., compass seems to show incorrect position) but the main one and very fundamental is with mass storage mode. When I connect my phone to PC, it prompts me an option to connect my phone as mass storage like it did on Gingerbread 2.3.x ..when I successfully enable it, I can see through all folders and subfolders on my internal sd (16GB) and external sd (microSD 16GB) but when copy/paste for example some folder with a movie in it from my PC to either internal or external SD it shows me very slow download progress and a bit later on my PC error pops up, saying it can´t find specified folder or whatsoever and my phone freezes, so I have to hold power button for 8sec to restart it again.
What is interesting, when I boot my phone in CWM, and mount my SD to PC ..I can easily transfer files (eg. 4.6GB copied in 20min) ...for my external SD, I would have to take her out of my phone and place her into USB adapter to transfer files (and put it back in my phone again). This is very frustrating because I like this port very much, it´s fast and you get all the OC/UV LiveOC control, just perfect ..if I could only fix this.. If anyone can help I would be grateful.
Can anyone help?? please
..also, I found out that I can´t copy files in between internal and external sd card.
If I don´t solve this problem I´m afraid I´ll have to go back to Gingerbread until better and stable version comes out ..and I like ICS so much.

Thank you for your advice but I couldn´t wait and flashed back to gingerbread...until more similar (by some basic functions) version of ICS port comes out I´ll be on "old" GB ...
For example, I can watch movie (size 2.6GB) mkv, avi, mp4 ..where on ICS I can watch only mp4..
..and for mass storage I´ve read somewhere that even original Galaxy Nexus with ICS has some problems connecting with PC
Only thing I´m sorry now is because with ICS I could play FPS game with full graphics .. maybe I need to find some custom or stock (preferable) rom with kernel that supports LiveOC and use of NSTools .. ?

That's weird. I've been using my phone to watch movies a lot lately and it's been working great, subtitles and all (with bsplayer). My movies are .avi too. Gives an error doing it by hardware (think only diceplayer does this properly?) but it automatically changes for software rendering mode and works smoothly, no lags, nothing.
Using TeamICS RC3.1 with their own latest kernel and everything works as supposed to. Also, never had a problem copying from the internal to externalSD or the other way around... it is a bit slow, however, to do it from a computer with the usb cable (around 1mb/s) doesn't matter if it's to the internal or external, but i can live with that. I just remove and connect the card to the computer directly if i'm in a hurry.
However, if you're into GB again, i'd recommend you to try mintberry MIUI. Was the most complete rom i've ever used, used it for quite a while and have NOTHING bad to say about it, quite the opposite. And i use my phone A LOT.

I´ve read somewhere that you have to install galaxy nexus drivers on to your pc??
Is that correct? ..
damn, I don´t know what to do??
I WANT ICS but with this problem it´s hard to keep it on daily usage base...
if there is only a kernel (custom) that you can flash onto your stock gingerbread but that includes things like this:
-Voodoo sound
-Live OC, or at least OC/UV above 1.3GHz that is stable
..and I would be happy with GB.
Same here
I have the same problem, also with Onecosmics ICS port RC3.1.
Kernel 3.08-NEO-3.0-galaxys+telus-257114-g5c75537 (the default)
In my case, if I remove the external SD everything work fine, I can transfer files from mi PC to the internal SD (slow, but this is a Known bug). The problems come when I have the external SD (SanDisk 16Gb class 4) inside the phone.
When I mount the device in the Pc and try to access or copy anything in the internal or external SD it just freezes and I have to turn off the phone. It also freezes while unmounting the SD cards.
The external SD connected with a card reader works Ok in the PC and I can transfer and read files with no problem so I tried coping some pictures and when I placed back the SD card in the phone I could see the picture
copying files between internal and external sd also works fine in my device.
I though It might be that the external SD was broke but after I tried using it with a card reader and works OK I have no clue.
I think I'm going to try install a stock gingerbread and star all over again.

That is solved in RC4 (pulled one) ..but it had some other bugs..
I´ve flashed a couple hours ago Teamhackungs ICS build 15 with Devil kernel v.14.2 ...and so far it´s very good, OCed to 1.4GHz..didn´t found any problems that would bug me..except for sending text messages (I was unable to send SMS) ..and so I´ve instaled GoSMS from market and in settings I wrote customized SMSC number -->problem solved.
-no mass storage transfer files problem (its very fast) ..also you can have mounted external SD too..
-flash in browser works
-I´ve gave up from facebook on my device because it uses up to 60MB of RAM (that´s why I use it in browser)
I started from 0.
First i went back to the stock 2.3.6 version, both external and internal SD works perfect.
After that, i flashed to a new kernel "hardcore's kernel with the ClockworkMod Recovery" following the cyanogenmod wiki
With the CW I installed the RC 4.1.
After that, I still have the same problems. I realised that I have no problem listening music from the external SD or transferring files between internal and external SD with the phone, my problem is always mounting the phone in the PC that crashes after a couple of minutes, no mater if is in Windows, OS X or Linux.
I'm going to install now the RC 4.2 but apparently the SD problems were fixed with an older release so I don't know what else to try.
using [ROMS][JZ054K.I8190.XXAMA1][4.1.2-Jelly-bean] [26.01.2013] V5.1
(and on leatherfaces rom v2 too btw)
i have my external memory card seen by the phone as the internal sdcard.
also, in root folder, there is /sdcard, not sdcard0. i do not remember if this is the same as default, or that also in root it should be /sdcard0.
anyway,
how can i have sdcard (internal partition) function like before? because now i dont have the 4 gb.
without extsdcard, my phone uses 2 folders, and sees them as 4,5gb MAX.
FROM ROOT: according to diskinfo and link2sd (inactive, just for info). My folder setup is like this:
it sais internal sd is fused (sd:fuse). i dont know f that cuold be the culprit/cause?
1: /mnt/asac/
2: /data/app/
My folder setup is like this, since leatherface rom v2.
Since then i flashed it again, and also now fahrias rom. i have done many wipes before, inbetween and after flashing.
Still missing sdcard.
It sais internal sd is fused (sd:fuse). i dont know f that cuold be the culprit/cause?
Also, when i install apps, they get installed to 1, or 2. /Data/app/ (2) is seen as sd, but houses most user installed apps.
So my external sd is not used for installing.
Since i only have 4,5 gb according to the phone, it is full faster then the original 4 gb.
Also /cache is stuck at 14MB. changing (slightly!) how it gets used, and using lots off apps doenst change a thing in its use /mb.
besides that i have:
/obb 401 empty mb
/asec/ 402 empty (but apps are installed on it, using theire own partition! for instance, google partition of 30mb, titanium backup pro MB, and so on for every app.
And some more empty partitions of 401 or 402 mb.
finally: data, is used and is 4,5 mb.
so i dont know, either internal (meaning the original default internal) partition, is hidden and not used. and thats why i see 4,5 gb internal.
it is actually sdcard0 originally?
i read allot on this forum, for weeks on end now. i flashed many roms, had more problems then 1 and got them solved by searching on this forum.
i found some articles about this problem, but it doesnt solve my question of how i should see this.
and btw thanks to all posters
thanks to al, i have used this forum allot! and i'd like to contribute where i can from now on. my experience is limited, but ive survived plenty of hard errors, to be of some use maybe.
question above remains though,
how can i get it back (internal sd, showing full 2x 4gb, and as 3rd, external).
so i now have: internal 4,5gb
external (my external sd card) 16gb.
i really would like to know how to get back, showing all 3 like default.
any info needed please ask, i dont know what to say more without someone telling me!?
additional:
after further reading, i learned that the "fuse" means that internal en sdcard0 are fused as 1, combined as max memory.
so that would be ok, but the problem is that it should be more then 4,5gb? normally 2x4gb!?
offcourse internal (default stock version), is filled and used up t a degree. even with 3,5 gb used as internal and hidden.
questions left:
-i still have 3 partitions of 400 mb not used. this cuold be normal?for instance: partition /obb 402mb free 0 used.
- my external card is not working as externalsd. cant install on it. not even after selecting it as default install partition.
- i have seen threads about how to use external sd. but it involves steps seemingly already done in fahria's rom (which is installed on my phone).
i can do those steps, but i dont want to do anything wrong , and i dont kow where to begin.
so goal now = hwo to use real external sd card as normal install folder?
best, to be able to use both as install folder.
when i try that now i get the messages: theres no room or acces denied
update:
i already tried clearing dalvik cache, wiping offline (with odin), and in boot recovery, many times.
the phone works, but i can only install on internal, fused memory. which is only 4,5 gb total.
questions remain:
1: is 4,5Gb combined max/ free space normal for faria rom v5.1 flashed? i thought i had more on default phone.
2: /obb and 3 othr 402 mbyte partitions are completely empty and are totally unused. not even emty files or directories!
can i somehow reclaim that space as nomal memory?
3: can i unfuse sdcard? i see an option in user.init (i dont change anything without having read and understanding wwhat it does).
now: fuse sdcard = true.
*i cant ask this in the thread of this rom, i am too new as forum member;
so thats why i post it here.
Hello everyone. I noticed something odd with my phone today as play store refused to install updates due to low storage space. Thats odd because i'm %100 sure that i'm not using all space. Now if i connect my phone to pc over usb, then select everything in my internal storage, total size shows 3.64 GB. And using Zen File Manager it shows that used internal storage is 3.82 GB. Thats close enough. But same zen file manager (as well as total commander) shows me i have only 690 MB free left out of 11.79 GB total storage and there is 8.67 GB of "other" files apart from images apps videos etc. My question is how can i find what could be this 8.67 GB of "other" files and how could i access them as i can't find them on pc or on file managers?
Using: Xperia Z1 C6903 on 14.6.A.1.236 rooted with locked BL.
Edit: I opened same thread to android general forums with hope there would be more replies and views. I can't find the option to delete this thread so if mods can handle this i'd be glad. Sorry for mess.
