Hi all,
I did notice that the overall sound volume of the diamond is kinda low (eventhough I set it to max volume). Comparing to my older HTC Artemis P3300, the sound of the diamond is indeed kinda low. Is there a registry tweak that increases the max overall sound volume of the diamond? So we get louder ringtones, louder music, etc.?

Yes but hes asking if he can increase the standard volume settings even higher.
Anyways i dont think you can unless you have a look in the registry or use advanced config to see if there are anymore settings related to the volume.
I personnaly think the volume is too loud when listening to music Minimal volume with the hardware buttons is too strong to let me concentrate when I work
So same question as above but inverted
There must be a registry tweak to increase the ringtone volume...but which one..
Well.. I have to say, P3300's volume is excellent. The best in it's class.
So if ya conna compare them, then you're gonna be disappointed.
Am having a same problem. Ring volume is ok but media player and core player volume is to low.
I can bearly hear that.
Is there any way to fix it
I am also interested in increased volume. I Can't hear anything when i am driving.

Hey u people wht u r doin with ur so called windows mobile
if u wanna mak ur mobile to create high quality sound jst dwnload first 'wow hd 1 2 1' for ppc nt for smartphone be sure for that. I dnt have the file bcoz I have it inbuilt in my rom of my artemis
then change registeries
.........
IN
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\AUDIOGAIN\
1. EAC GAIN CARKIT > 79
2. EAC GAIN EMBEDDED > 79
3. EAC GAIN HEADSET > 79
ALL THESE 3 ARE MAY BE DEVICE SPECIFIC
SO IN MY ARTEMIS THE MAX VALUE IS 79 IF I WILL PUT 80 THE SOUND WILL DISAPPEAR AT ALL. SO BE CAREFUL . U CAN FIND THE MAX VALUE BY INCREASING IT ONE BY ONE
fOR UR DIAMOND
FOR CODEC GAIN
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\AUDIOGAIN\
1. CODEC GAIN CARKIT > 05
2. CODEC GAIN EMBEDDED > 05
3. CODEC GAIN HEADSET > 06
This r the best values for better effect.
One more editing
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\AUDIOGAIN\
1. ENABLE AUGA CARKIT > 01
2. ENABLE AUGA EMBEDDED > 01
3. ENABLE AUGA HEADSET > 01
On artemis I m sure it will work bt for other devices do it at ur own risk.Remember default values.
Then restart ur device
Open wow hd
Enable it
Then select 'headphone'
1. 3D Effect-90
2. Center effect-90
3. Focus level-40 to 50
4. Definatiion Level- 30[lower the value bass effect will better]
Then in truebass
1. Truebass level- 100
2. Speaker Size- 40 HZ
Then open any player and feel the sound in ur handsfree like IPOD.
WOW HD is necessary othrwise sound
Will become so harsh it can damage ur speakers..
So enjoy it
May it be, that you do not own a Diamond?
As I do, I searched for the AUDIOGAIN entry, it does not exist. And yes: I have WOW installed properly.
Thereafter, I created that entry with your settings, and: my headset broke.
So: if you want to try it, do it on you own risk.
My conclution: as I only found threads here telling it does not work, I can only warn people trying it.
i got question about the ringer volume
its set at 60 so i increase it to 80 % but after i switch between vibrate / silent and then go back to normal mode the ringer volume switches back to 60 instead of the new 80 % level i set ? is there a registry hack for ringer volumes ?
tq

This is default settings
I know it is default settings.I just wanted to say that if it is there is that it's not for nothing.
For example in advancedCPL there are 5 values EQ1,EQ2,..,EQ5 and when i change the value of ipaqaudio it changes those EQ value to the same. And we musn't forget that for the others htc it is in this advancedCPL that they could change the value of the keys BASS and TREBLE. So ipaqaudio show that there somethings that we can change to enhance the sound. ipaqaudio works on trinity unfortunatly x50mix doesn't. But I'm sure there is a way of getting htc media hub(with audiobooster) from htc love and herald and put it on hour trinity

I test iPAQ Audio (extract from iPAQ rw6815), Reg settings sets, but settings no save, and no effect
Make a search of ipaq_audio on the forum you will find it (i found it on this forum) and it works
Still no way to get the wonderful audiobooster and htc audio manager ???
Why can those who have artemis and love can have it and we not?
The entries exist in the registry. I'm I am sure there is a way the get it.

Why don't you just use MortPlayer or another 3rd party audio player that has a built in equalizer?
Because those are software equalizer which are far worst than real hardware equalizer. On my first I-mate there was a little plugin called dsp.cab that permit to change hardware bass and treble. Thanks to that you could have a great sound with good bass and treble and no distortion. Audiobooster of htc love , X50mix of acer, o2 media plus...are hardware equalizer. They provide best quality than software equalizer (in general Hardware modifications are far better than software modifications...)......That is why I am bugging everyone....
Hi,
I work at a really loud place and i never hear my phone ring. Is there anyway i can make the ring tones louder. I have them set to the loudest in the settings. I am running the att rom. Thanks
_DK
If you already have set the ringtone volume at the loudes (note that this is a separate setting from the system notification volume!), you can try to edit the sound file itself.
Install the freeware Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ) on your PC, open your ringtone mp3 file and do an "amplify". To make sure that the sound isn't clipped, you can do a "normalize" instead with a maximum amplitude of 0 dB.
Export as mp3, transfer back to your telephone and use that as your new ringtone!
there should be a registry edit to do this, but making it too loud will damage the speakers.

Package taken from here: http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=224&t=517120&p=1&cache=0 and I re-package as English version. Tried on my ATT Tilt and works.
As usual, please backup first and try as your own risk. Please make sure to soft-reset after install.
*** Removed since speaker will not work after installation ***
Hm, did not work for me. Original HTC TyTN II. Seems to be the wrong driver. No sound whether phone nor music. Uninstallation successful though.
The original SRS WOW did interfere with my A2DP Handsfree. The tab where to chose internal speaker or headphone showed a blank bar.
So now it looks like i got to live without it.

Did you perform a soft-reset after install? Maybe we should wait longer to see test result from other user
SRS WOW HD is the subject of another thread, providing the cab too.
It didn't work for many of us, soft-reset solves the problem.
Cheers
yes i did perform a softreset without no change.
@Gpx85 i know, the thing is though we were talking about BT Streaming Audio Support as well. The cab that i installed previously did only support wired headphone and internal speaker.
If it doesnt work via Blue Tooth -> regedit the olddriver value to the right old driver for your device!
i havent a tytnII to look in the registry, to say the right settings!
Here is a copy of the Original SRS WOW Thread ...
That worked through BT headset it is necessary to copy all parameters from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Wave Dev] in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd
Except for value of parameter "OldDriver", he should be such, as was "DLL"
For example:
Before
"DLL" = "bta2dp.dll"
After
"DLL" = "WOWHD_ARM_WCE_PPC2005_Driver.dll"
"OldDriver" = "bta2dp.dll"

To have real stereo with your bluetooth stereo headphone you have to change the following registry key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings
Change the UseJointStereo value 1 to 0.
The value 1 means dual mono, value 0 means stereo

Danke - Thank you
Just found another package (SRS_WOW_HD 121.CAB)that works perfectly on my ATT Tilt (Both phone speaker & A2DP works w/o problem)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355913&page=9
What does it do exactly? What's the purpose and effect of it?
I know WMP 10 uses SRS WOW as an effect processing plugin.. to add echo/reverberation/etc... what does it do on Kaiser?
Similar things. U get 3D effecct, bass, treble adjustment. It was working only on Wav device (speaker and wired headset). The new cab w/ updated registry key make A2DP working also.

Hi people!
Just got my diamond and i do love it!
just a few questions i thought some one could help out with. i have searched for answers to these but they do not seem to be answered or even asked.
To me they seem like obvious questions, but the way each person uses their phone is unique i suppose.
1) i use bluetooth headphones and after upgrading the rom to TOM_DiamondProject_v3.3_WWE from the stock rom the audio quality is MUCH improved. the thing when ever i try to enable audio booster it says i have no headset connected. now i assume the audio booster puts a few treble bass boosts on and ups the voltage on the headphone output. i am i correct in assuming that since bluetooth headphones have their own power and audio circuitry this feature is not needed for me or is there a way of getting the volum/bass/trable boosts enabled with bluetooth headphones? Not to boost the volume of the bluetooth headphones, as that is the domain of the headset, but to send a louder/bass singlal to the headset?
2) people have suggested disabling gprs/internet to save on battery. great idea but i am wondering, if some one sends me a picture, will the gprs/mms connection fire up and accept or will i get a text message, like my mum does, to direct me to a website to download the picture?
3) people have suggested turning of the GPS. whilst this is not a feature i would use ( i dont drive!) i cannot see an explicit option to turn it off any where, such as the comms manager.
4) am i correct in thinking that the touch flow 3d music tab will only play mp3? i have moved some aac encoded mp4 and m4a containred files into the folder and whilst the mp3`s are picked up by the music tab, the m4a/mp4 files are ignored. they play fine in media player so i assume this is a problem with the music tab? any way of making it `see` m4a/mp4 files?
finally.
5) i was hopeing the music tab would be like the cover flow on the ipods but its not. am i right in thinking that i have to sellect the album i want to play and then flick up and down to flick between the tracks? can i not flick between albums like you can on an ipod without selecting the album i want via libary -> albums -> album1 etc? in other words can i only flick between tracks and not albums?
thanks in advance for any help any one can give me!
p.s. while i remember, is there any way to make the text in the sms application smaller? with the keypad and the threaded sms there is no room for what i am texting. can i alter the screen real estate set asside to the previous sms at the top and make it smaller and then increase the amount set to what i am typing? can i make the font used in this program smaller? theres no need for size 14 fonts in sms on this screen!
1> Audiobooster wants the headphones connected to the miniusb port, try coreplayer or srs app to boost normal audio
2> If you've disabled data completely, you'd just get the sms with the link
3> This is managed by the system - GPS apps will open the serial port and the driver will power up the GPS. Bascially it's off until an app opens it.
4> Not that i've seen, but then I dont really use this part of TF3D - perhaps theres a plugin if you search?
5> Tracks from what i've seen from my limited use
Last one is set by going into settings->system->screen
Text size controls the text size of most apps.
2. You have two connections, normal Internet and MMS, only disable the internet one if you want. This won't save you much power though, disabling 3g and push is what saves you the most power. Aslong as your internet connection isnt always active basically.
5. You cannot flick through albums.

#25. Enable Audio Booster without headset-->HKLM/System/State/Hardware/Headset set the value to 1 (soft reset will bring it back to 0)
Hi Guys,
I found something a software which improves your audio thru headphones on the Kaiser ( other devices too). Better than audio booster bcos you can install and run on device, also better than SRS WOWHD cos it improves the sound output better.
For Tilt and TYTN2 user do the following registry edit after installing the cab attached:
In Regedit go to "HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev"
Then edit the following entries:
1. "OutputDevice" =Wavedev.dll
2. "Flags" =10002 in hex
Finally do a Soft reset.
I did not do this on my own I got it on this site: http://www.pda4x.com/read.php?tid=89997&page=e&#a
This has been around for a while and there are versions kicking around on here that need no tweaking after install.
It's great with headphones, but I couldn't use, as for me it reduced the external sound and I kept missing calls - others have reported the same.
