Has there been anyone working on creating a touch diamond style interface for use on the other HTC phones? From what I've seen on the HTC site, the Diamond's home screen is somewhat different, as is it's cube interface. The contact and media player screens are different as well. I'd love to have that interface running on my AT&T Tilt. If it matters, I'm in the US.

If you look around you can find almost all of that already done. The home screen and media player I know work because I have both. Do some looking you'll lots of nice Diamond cabs.
Search for SBP Mobile Shell 1.2 Diamond
Are there any that include the diamond style contacts, photo album, and media player? The one's I'm finding have the home, program launcher, calendar, and weather but not the other.

Hi,
The audio player on the main interface looks pretty but very basic. Looking through various video reviews I can spot Audio Booster but not HTC Audio Manager, my preferred player.
It doesn't apper in the standard Windows programs folder eiether from what I can see of video reviews.
Does anyone know if it the current version is compatible to install on the Diamond?
Or whether the Touch Diamond player has an extended interface where you can view lists of songs rather than pictures (e.g. All songs by an artist?) - couldn't spot any options!
Many thanks - A.
I think I saw an extended interface in one video, with fancy TouchFLO 3D tabs at the bottom. These tabs appeared to be for things like 'Songs', 'Albums' and 'Artists'. However, I haven't the faintest idea where that video was any more, and it may have been a test build.
the dump i have of the rom posted here which is a shipped diamond rom has the audiomanager exe. maybe post a question on coolsmartphone.com, and theylll answer it tomorrow
Rory
the new audio mananger is pretty much what you see on the touchflo 3d. the old one is now gone. the mp3trimmer from the old one is now as a seperate program.

Hey - probably like many the HTC Diamond is my first windows mobile phone.
So do all you seasoned users have any must-have programs that you would like to elaborate on?
So far i found that a proper video player was a must, Tcpmp did it for me, simple interface, nice features, and able to playback alot of different formats!
Atm im on the lookout for a good music player, that has album/cover support, but since i hope this is for the greater good - any program you can't live without or simply like - tell us the name, function and why its so good - so we all can get the most out of our shiny new gadgets!
There are album/cover support in both media players on the device.
Advanced Config appears to be a must-have for tweaking your device. Also, any registry editor is useful in order to make additional tweaks. Besides that, a custom ROM appears to be necessary to be able to really enjoy your device, because darn, those guys at HTC can do a lot except for making good ROMs. I personally prefer the TLR Rom version 2 over the others by a lót - you'll need to install Hard-SPL and the TLR Rom and that will wipe your device. Better to back up whatever you have by Active Syncing it with Outlook first.
gsen is a must have to auto rotate more applications.
wisbar advance 3 is a must have app !! a lovely task manager that skins the complete interface
a very good PIM program is SBSH pocket breeze also skinnable(cannot use if ur on touchflo 3d)
SPB wallet for all the password and cards (i use this quite frequently)
Google maps for maps
Im not into music on the PDA but apparantly pocket music player is the best there is
and core player for movies
Lexigoo dictionary(duh)
Pocket screen snap to take snapshot of the pda screen
astraware westward astraware bubble bobble(fun ) and orions are the best games so far iv used on my pda
i use spb finance for financial accounts
other softwares people use are sbsh phoneweaver(profile manager)
tomtom7
is the only app u need
VGA is just a scaled version of the QVGA.
WVGA is an iPod-like Look & Feel. My apologies
To install, unpack in your "Program Files/Audible/Skins" path.
Enjoy!
Excellent! Now my Xperia looks as it should with Audible.
Nice skin, but do you guys use the Audible player?
I like what you have done, and I know this is a little OT, but I could never get that prog to work. I tried it multiple times on a Wizard, and then on my Tilt. I would always have trouble accessing the library, or it would tell me that I had no connection, when I could surf or email fine. When their support people wanted me to wipe (as in hard reset) my phone to troubleshoot, I gave up on the mobile app. I was so happy when I found Kinoma that I bought it just for the Audible support. I usually put books on my Zune, but I stream the morning paper every day to my Tilt.
Does anyone have a skin for Audible Player that will show correctly on the Treo Pro?
Thanks in Advance!
Green Skin for WVGA (480x800)
Put everything from the zip file into /Program Files/Audible/Skins. Screen shot attached. Enjoy.
Thanks Theory! Nice, clean skin.
Long timo ago till this threat was opened, but:
I use a HTC HD2 with WVGA resolution.
I copied your files to the destined folder. I am able to choose f.e. the ipod skin. But this is huge: I only can see the upper left quarter of the skin!!!
Has anyone an idea why this happens?
The original green skin is ugly and seems also not the right resolution.
Thanks for your answer!
Ps: I installed audible player at the storage card. May this be the problem?
I have the same problem like Prisonierung.
I'm using a HD2 and the AudiblePlayer is installed to the storagecard.
Is there a solution?

You need to install the format 3 version first, then audible manager asks you to update. After this you can play all formats.
Hey gus,
i got a problem with the resolution, no matter which skin i choose... they all look pretty similiar, i just can see the upper right corner.
I'll attach a picture to show you what i mean.
I just moved over from the Tilt to the Fuze. I loved the way the HTC Audio Manager functioned on the Tilt, speedy and user friendly.
Unfortunately that cab no longer works on my Fuze. I've tried Win Media and Core Player but both programs have an incredible lag when choosing playlists.
Is there a HTC Audio Manager cab for the non-Manilla version? What else are you guys using to play your MP3's?
Try MortPlayer or GSPlayer.
I like Mortplayer. You have to be careful with the skins though, some of them like to crash, or have impossibly small fonts.
I wish someone would come up with a skin that has a car screen that's basically three HUGE buttons (skip forward, back, and play/pause) and then the name of the song and a counter. Most people have tried to focus on aesthetics but I think that would be the most useful.
mortplayer had a tendency to lag/skip when i play music on my fuze. i've since then switched to pocket player (so far so good)
I would use Nitrogen when I am on the run. If I have time, I like the look and interface of S2P. It's pretty slick with opengl.
Great feedback. I'll look into those programs.
One thing I noticed is that a lot of the players would shut off when the phone goes into sleep mode. Do mort player, nitrogen have that problem?
Here's the .cab for HTC Audio Manager fot TP/Fuze
I had HTC's Audio Manager working on my TP, found the cab after lots of diggin and testing... got it here on XDA, just don't remember where...(thanks to the maker of the cab anyways, sorry I don't remember who you are! )
Well, enough chatting, here you get it (lucky you I keep most of my cabs in MediaFire ):

Thanks! I've been playing around with both HTC Audio Manager and Nitrogen. Both are great programs so it's hard to narrow it down to one music program for my Fuze.

I'm not sure it's a unique feature, but I am toying with Nitrogen, and it has a "blank screen" button. The elements of Nitrogens user-interface are super-simple and easy to manipulate. As a plus its billed to be lightweight and responsive - it's fast to me.
Nitrogen is still early in development, and it looks like the author is adding features that you may miss, relative to more mature players, like Mort.

I have a cab in my faq that's called keep music playing.
basically you just hit the power button to put your phone into standby mode.
it's better than blank screen as taht just shows a black screen and still uses more battery.
The music player built in to tf3d is as good as any of the other ones. Nice library function. Menu has the audio booster built in to it. Shuffles music. I can't find anything that works as good as this. This came stock with my sprint touch pro.
i use S2P *Slide 2 Play* it also intergrates itself into S2U just like the iphone which i like, power manage is awesome while using the music player and ease of use is also great, make it even better yet, its FREE!!

I am with you on this one. However i recently switched to WM 6.5 and titanium to save battery life so I have lost the Touchflo music player. I tried nitrogen and found it to be great in every way except one.
On the Touchflo music player it would scan your whole phone for all of your music and organize it for easy selection. With nitrogen though you have to look through all of your folders to find a song which is a major turn down for me as I use itunes to organize my music. Which means it goes by album and I never remember which album a certain song is in. If anyone knows of a workaround that would be great.
The best music player is Pocket Music Bundle.
Best sound and manager playlist.
http://www.pocketmind.com/pmfp.htm
realy like htc audio manager. Even when I used tf3d, for some reason the volume was too loud, and I hated having only 6 increments for volume.
Also unlike windows media player, audio manager doesn't think my 4 zillion sound files whic are from my various instaled games are music too
Hey guys!
Iam using the S2P music player but not happy with! Its laggy and when iam browsing in my folders or type on the button to switch to the actuall-folder list the sounds hang for a second. Thats annoying.
So iam interesting in your favourite music player
If possible: pls post it WITH link
Thx
Darkslider2k4
Well my favourite is nitrogen because of its finger friendly style and skins support but as I ve asked a few people they re using core player and the fabulous WMP . There aren t many good music players for WM.
Regards
Windows Media Player with custom skin because it's fully controllable with HTC e100/w100 wired remote control and my desktop docking station with infrared remote control.

I always use WWE ROMs

Btw.: I'm using the Ecell remote dock. It's actually for HTC Diamond but works great with Touch Pro too.
The small Diamond in the picture is the IR remote control.
I had to "glue" the desk stand down because it tends to tilt over because of the heavy Touch Pro.
The video out ist however no longer working on newer ROMs through this docking station.
