Does the Diamond have an Auto Answer feature.
I ask because, every time I receave a call, when I slide the Diamond out of the HTC pouch it answers.
Can any one help
well, you should read a little bit the forum... -.-
this is an issue with the touch that is *very* sensitive and answers because your fingers touched the screen...
an alternative, is S2U2.
Please use search feature as I'm a bit lazy
This is your best option:

Just install the latest version of this. It does exactly what you need. Don't try S2U2. It might not work and it will drain your battery.
Thank you both for your support

however, I'll give You a clue: there is not much that You can do about it. there are some tricks, but there is no clean, perfect solution.

Hello
wanted to get everyone's opinion to whats the best lock app for our phones. i have tried several and i have problems with a lot of them.
i really like phone buddy, but i find it uses too much memory and power.
pocketshield is good too but i had problems with it. the phone wouldnt stay locked and i think i had a memory problem as well.
s2u2 is what i have used before and i do like it. but i had a problem with the volume on calls.
not sure if its something else im running.. im running the diamond2 g sensor and that may be it. or something else... not sure
help and suggesting would be great. i would like to find something i can use on my phone.
thanks

pocketshield. best i've found, no impact on battery life and answering the phone is great. download the latest (they've been updating it alot) and turn off the shake wake up (gestures), light wakeup, center button, and stylus (so the only thing is slide down). i haven't had it wake up unexpectedly with those settings.
i tried s2u2 along time ago, but have heard from multiple sources that it negatively influenced battery life. anyone know if this is still true?
i liked pocketshield a lot but like i said, i turned the phone off so it would lock, as soon as i turned the phone on it would unlock without me fliping it or anything else.
the answer thing is nice but i like the slide to answer i already have. if it didnt disable that when i used the pocketshield one i would use it.
like i said, im not sure if something else if causing my issues.... i think i may uninstall the dimond2 g sensor.
still cant find any lock app that will work well.... sensorlock and glocker dont work at all. and pocketshield works for a short time but stops. not sure if its cause you have to pay for it. i would pay for it if it worked for a while with no problems. dont wanna pay for it and have the same problems.
any ideas?
S2U2
try using S2U2 fully configurable and if done right does not use up battery.

I use S2U2. Doesn't affect my battery life
using S2U2 with tPro skin... nice

S2U2 is my favorite.
On a fast ROM (Like most of the ROM's on our forums), the program runs smoothly and nice.
I also like being able to pick pictures of my dog, or my bike, for the screens.
But my best practice for locking the phone is simply lock it out of habit when you put it away. Have "Slide to wake" disabled unless you really use it.
pocketshield for me, i had a few issues in the earlier releases but the newest is absolutely perfect, and pretty much everything is configurable to how i like it! seriously try the new one out and play in the settings to tweak it
Just use the new vertion of S2u2 together with the new skin

Works without problem. and looks good.

Maybe you have "light unlock" enabled and it is unlocking before you even notice it? (actually its the way it should be if you enable that feature)
has anyone tried throttle lock ? it has a slide to answer when you recieve calls while locked and it unlocks by drawing a pattern on a 3X3 grid of dots . Its a real nice app and has at least 35 different skins and is customizable. (customizing is rather arduous and takes awhile to do when it comes to making a new skin)
can anybody help me find Phone Buddy? i was trying to search it and i am not getting an conclusive results. The only thread that cmae up with anything is this thread....
S2U works just fine on my TP with stock rom, no negative battery impact noticable.
It seems all locking programs seem to have their own 'locked screen' that goes over the today screen. I have customized my today screen to have all the information i need at a glance and don't need another one.
I think Touchlock Pro is the only recent one that does not have this but I have other issues with it. Are there others I have missed?

I'm using AnswerkeysDisabler which locks the touch screen completely when a call comes in. Answering is only with the hardware keys. It's simple - no home screens, no swinging the phone around in circles to answer or anything Just plain works (as touch pro has those HW keys).
I found it from here somewhere - try it.
I use sensor lock. It's great! You can use phone gestures with the accelerometer to unlock your phone. For example, you can rotate your phone 360ยบ to lock/unlock it.
Here is the app. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=422871
Is this a common thing known about? The response is not too bad using my fingers, but when using the stylus to move right hand side scroll bars up and down, or to close a window with the 'x' or 'ok' it's nowhere near as responsive as my artemis, and the interfaces on both phones are practically identical. Even doing taps for screen alignment requires much harder pressing than on the artemis. Is there a way to improve the response or does the screen 'wear in' after time and make things faster? The only thing that helped so far was removing the screen protector which seemed to dull the responses even more.
I haven't owned an artemis, but the diamond has the worst screen sensitivity out of the many device's I've had before it,advanced configuration adjustment does nothing that I could feel.....I did read somewhere that they use a harder or thicker screen cover because of it being flush and more prone to damage, which would make sense, but, combined with it's sluggish speed, equal's a device I find barely usable, which is a shame because it has such a nice looking screen.
BTW I'm talking about stylus use, which is mainly what I use 99% of the time.
Yeah, I'd heard about it's bad touch response from someone that owned a diamond and has now put it on ebay. And frankly, as nice looking as it is and with all it's cool new features, I think the artemis is a better phone, slightly bigger screen, more user friendly and far less confusing and fiddly. I can get around my older phone faster with the simpler menus and scroll wheel, and also, the volume in tomtom 6 at 100% on the diamond is much quieter than on the artemis. However, there's a screen sensitivity hotfix that someone posted in the Development and Hacking forum. I was trying to find out which one of the cab files he posted is best for my phone. Has anyone in here tried it for the T-Mobile Compact 4?

Thanks. Might try it, although, I now installed the iTouch_azharsunny.cab from the development and hacking forum and it seems to have increased the sens quite well. The scroll bar is still not quite as sensitive as my old phone, but quite acceptable mostly.
I have a problem where when I have an incoming call it is slide to answer, not push to answer (hardware and touchscreen buttons) like it used to be. It also disabled the hardware buttons so I can't even answer with the hardware answer button. I'm using the latest EnergyROM and I believe that included a slide to answer change for incoming calls. I've searched google and the forums and the only things I find are people WANTING the slide to answer dialer, not like me trying to get rid of it. This wouldn't be a huge problem except for the fact that slide to answer does NOT work for me. For it to work I have to have the phone perfectly level and even then sliding it to answer works maybe 30% of the time if I'm lucky.
I love EnergyROM (yes I also posted in the official thread, my question was overlooked) and I would love to keep it but a phone should be able to answer calls. If anyone can tell me how to change the dialer without changing the ROM I would appreciate it!
you can use advanced config and change to the default dialer skin
Thanks!
That was a surprisingly simple solution, I haven't ever really used advanced config, thank you for pointing that out.
lol nice , what build are you running , it seems to have worked its self out recently for me atleast .
EnergyROM 'Mercury' (SYS 23009) Built on July 29th
^That one, although I didn't flash mine on July 29th, so I see there have been almost weekly revisions, I got mine sometime in July, so probably one of the earlier ones.

Well, maybe, try to calibrate the screen... Or adjust screen pressure threshold...
So I really like this feature as it helps me find the fingerprint location quickly but it's a little too slow for my taste, anybody know how I can speed it up?
Sorry that I can't answer your question. But I am trying to find the same thing. If you have found a solution please let me know, it would be much apprectiated.
