Hy guys,
I'm new to the forum so I take advantage to greeting all. My english is poor so sorry for errors
I have bought a Tytn II on 26 January 2008, 3 days ago I found some very small horizontal lines in the screen using the PDA walking, expecially on the top or the bottom. At home I found that this horizontal lines are not due to moviments of the phone but are visible every time I move the head looking the phone, expecially looking the top and the bottom bar.
For example moving the phone with the hand are visible, looking the phone on the table and moving the head up and down are visible, but holding the eye on the screen, with the phone on the table, and without moving the pda or the head this lines are not visible......
So I don't think that the problem is due to vibrations or electric issue.
Can someone tell me if it's normal or what is the problem? Does anyone have the same issue?
Tks very much in advance.

Hy and tks for the answer.
No It's not a battery level indicator. I have a very small screen flickering problem moving the phone because some very small white horizontal lines appear on the screen.
It's strange that this problem appear when I look the phone without fix the eyes on it. If I hold the phone on the table and I look it moving my eyes up and down the problem appear. Looking the phone without moving my eyes does not reveal any problem.....
Hi
It doesn't sound like a fault more normal behavior.
It's all to do with how the phone refreshes the pixels on the screen. When you move your head your brain picks up the screen refreshing the image, this is because the image is no longer static and so your brain is "sampling more often" trying to make sense of what is happening and so catches a glimpse of the screens workings.
Remember what we see on a computer monitors is very much an illusion, they are seldom static images being displayed.
Regards
Phil

Hy Phil,
tks for the answer. It's exactly what I think, but I have seen another kaiser, and I found that the "problem" is present too but in a very small way compared to what I see on my phone.
May be a different refresh rate? A different configuration of the screen?
Tks again
Hi, I've started to have this problem yesterday afternoon and I don't know what to do.
Whenever I turn the screen on everything is distorted, with white and black lines going all across the screen. After putting the phone in sleep mode and going back to the lock screen multiple times, the screen fixes itself. When I look at the screen in landscape mode the same thing happens. I'm not sure if this is a hardware problem or something else because sometimes when I drag the notification bar down, that seems to fix the screen itself. Any solutions? I tried searching all over for an answer but couldn't find any.
Thanks.
bump..Someone help please?
Sounds like a hardware problem, loose cable of some sort I would guess. Try to wipe and flash any 1.6 roms to rule out the bad 2.1 rom. Not likely but worth a try.
Good luck.
Hello,
I've installed latest stock HTC rom and got problem... seems that screen tapping does not work correctly... exactly first touch of screen is displaced (to the right, like 1cm!). For example when trying to make a vertical line in notes (starting from the bottom) i'm always getting "L" letter... more or less, but its still "L"... its really annoying and device is unusable because of it... any ideas whats the problem?
Best regards,
FlashT
So earlier today I my phone's screen would not wake up, after a few minutes of button presses and what not it finally comes on, but it has an off look to it. The blacks are all a washed out grey, there are vertical lines across the screen and there's just an odd white wash across the screen. The lines are stationary and do not move with scrolling. Unfortunately I do not have enough posts to link the image directly http ://i.imgur.com/ KfLWfAV.jpg
I have tried some restarts, I flashed stock but neither did anything. I have no idea what could have caused this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My dad managed to shatter his phone screen, so I decided to change it myself.
After dissambling it and placing the new screen/digitalizer in, a new problem rose.
The capacitive buttons don't work. Doesn't seem as they are deffective, just that tapping them makes the phone think I'm tapping the lowest part of the screen... it's quite an odd problem.
I've tried to disable the navigation bar, still nothing.
If anyone has a solution, please help.
Best regards.
