This is a hell of a post!
They must be using a stock photo of the phone. The photo shown is certainly the Euro version of the phone, as it has a front camera.
yup they sure are.
bestbuy sells em too
yeah but for 699$
newegg- 519$
Anyone thinking about ordering from Newegg, I would still call or email them just to verify... the specs page shows it's the Euro version.
Not saying you're incorrect, Freshh, but if I were to return my Diamond to Best Buy to get a refund and buy from Newegg to save 200 bucks, and then find out when I get it that it's the Euro version, I'd be screwed.

Seems to be a better deal yet: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2673823&highlight=tzour#post2673823. No confusion with the EU model there, because it is US 3G, as many of us have bought ours. As reported in the same thread, also, the yellow tint doesn't seem to be as bad as those from other places. I bought two from SMG and both are perfect in that regard.
well if you want to you can call, but yes this is just a few shots of the box to show you that it is the US 3g Version.

response from newegg via live text chat
I ordered mine today from newegg.. thanks for the great tip fresshh you saved me almost $200 over bestbuy you are the man!!
I did contact newegg live text chat b4.. While they confirmed that it was the US version you can tell they don't really know what they are talking about and probably didn't even pull up the product info..
All Newegg representatives are currently assisting other customers. Thank you for your patience. An agent will be with you shortly.
Thank you for contacting Newegg. My name is Darlene. How may I assist you today?
Darlene: Hi! Thanks for contacting us. How can I help you today?
me: Hi.. can you give me info about a cell phone you have
me: I want to see if it's the North American version of the phone
me: cause the specs list it as the euro version with their frequency bands
Darlene: All of our items are the US version, unless it specifically states a different version on the product's page.
Darlene: What's the item number? The item number should begin with "N82E168 . . ."
me: N82E16875502009
me: want to make sure it will work with US 3G (AT&T)
me: if it is the american version there are multiple discrepencies on the specs page.. size.. weight.. frequency bands.. number of cameras.. battery size. etc.
Darlene: This item is the US version.
Darlene: All the information regarding the item is located under the specifications. The specifications are given to us directly from the manufacturer. If it doesn't specify on our site, you can check either the manufacturer's site link provided on each product page, or you can you can check our manufacturer contact listing for a phone number to call them with any further questions.
me: ok I see.. cause all your other phones from HTC are all the american version.. so I was pretty sure but just wanted to check.
me: thank you.. maybe someone could update that cause I'm sure you'd sell a lot more if the correct info was on there
Darlene: I will forward your inquires to the proper department to see if they are able to make any changes to the product's page.
me: Thanks.. and for some strange reason if it's not the american version can I return it if I don't open the box?
Darlene: Yes you can return it back to us for a refund if the item is not opened.
me: Thank you for all your help!
Darlene: You are very welcome. Is there anything else I may assist you with?
me: nope that's it for today.. you have been most helpful!
Darlene: Thank you for contacting us. I hope you have an Eggcellent day!
Thanks again for contacting Newegg. Once you know, you Newegg
haha yeah no problem export

Hi! I'm interested to buy the new HTC Tytn II which is still not locally available here in the Philippines. The only option I have right now is to purchase it online and have it shipped here. I'm a little bit concerned though because this is a fairly expensive device and I do not want to end up being scammed by some bogus online site. I hope someone can give me a recommendation based on past experience from an online retailer.
Also, does anyone know if HTC has worldwide support/ warranty for their products regardless where it was purchased?
Thank you and any feedback will greatly be appreciated.
Just got one in Hong Kong, the price is HKD$ 6000.
I don't think the HTC will provide worldwide warranty.
Thanks ben_998. Did you get yours directly from a HK based store or online? If you got it online, please give me their URL so I can inquire about shipping the device to my location.

Hello people.
First of all is it available in the States?
Second, if it is, will a Kaiser bought from the States work ok here in Europe and with my provider? (or if not, is there an unlock for this yet?)
A friend is going to the States so if #1 and #2 above are ok, I might try to take advantage of the currency rates.
Thanks.
i might be wrong, but i thought that the kaisers in the states are imported from europe anyways

This is correct. All U.S. Kaisers are European imports at the moment.
Good Place to pick one up.
Try MobileCityOnline.com they have nothing but European Kaisers that include TomTom and have no issues registering on the HTC site for future support! I highly recommend them!
ok people, thanks, I'll look into it
Does this make sense to anyone?
and do you think its more of a 3g lock vs actual hardware difference?

Indiaplaza.in has it listed here:
http://www.indiaplaza.in/mobiles/ph...nufacturer-warranty-laptop-usb-light-free.htm
for Rs36,499 with Airtel lock (whatever that means). The specification looks like a copy paste from the htc website and has 3G specs. Not sure whether both will be available for different price ranges- they are claiming delivery in 15 days.Anyone here from Mumbai or Delhi- Can you check Heera Panna/Palika Bazar ? In Bangalore -dealers are telling 15 days -1 month.Airtel call center does not have a clue about what HTC diamond is.....

38k. wtf! i dont think so!!!!! i think someone is playing the price there. dont buy until u have some other confirmation. btw ur right abt the last part. keke. i went to global access arnd commercial street and also national market near majestic, and guess what.....these guys dont even know what htc touch diamond is....i was like.....kekekeke...cos global access is listed as an official retailer for htc in india
any luck
Anyone ?? Any luck with locating the Touch Diamond in India?
The elusive diamond
On the HTC India site, it says that "The HTC Touchâ„¢ (sic) will be available through Airtel in top 25 cities across the country at a maximum retail price of Rs. 27,500.00 (inclusive of all taxes) and all authorized HTC resellers.
http://www.htc.com/in/press.aspx?id=49180&lang=1033
I tried calling some of these authorized retailers in Mumbai and none of them had a clue when it was going to be released nor could they even confirm the 27,500 price. Didn't bother calling up Airtel customer care as I'm sure they would be even more clueless.
A salesman at Alfa, probably Mumbai's most popular mobile phone retailer, expected the handset to retail at 40k. Indiaplaza.in is also listing it at a list price of Rs. 40995. Although I wonder if they really have it in stock.
So has anyone in India got hold of the diamond and/or is able to confirm the 27,50 price?? Please let us know!

Hello everybody,
I wanted to ask you, especially someone from USA. I want to buy Nexus 7 32Gb (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Google-Ne...let-ASUS-1B32-with-Inland-ipad-folio/22409574) from this shop but it doesn't support Poland. So here is my question. Is there anybody who will pick up my package in USA and send it further to Poland by courier? I'll do all payments also including the cost of shipping package to Poland.
And if you agree with this proposition, I can give a small fee (15-20$). It's not sure yet, because my friend are going to USA and he can take it back too.
Also, for your info, I'll buy it in end of January/beginning of February
Thanks in advance
I suggest you let your friend get you one when he's over there, or find someone closer to buy from.
Sorry, but no transactions can take place on the forum.
I'm planning to buy the SD 888 version but unfortunately it's not sold in europe.
I've heard of many people who import the phone from HK, China or US. But I can't find the right websites.
Can anyone help me with that? Maybe a tip for cheap sites or something would be so nice
If you know someone in the US or HK?
Wondamobile.com had the China Snapdragon model in stock last time I checked.
Wondamobile.com got mine there im from sweden.
Thanks guys! I thought maybe someone lives in US and could tell me a few of their shop names
Wondamobile is very expensive...so sad.
Got mine from eglobalcentraleu.com, but also checked Wondamobile and tradingshenzhen.com before taking the plunge.

Are you joking now? WondaMobile prices are less than what you have in your country of living! Also, the version you should go for is Hong Kong or Taiwan! The chinese one has no Google services for you.
If you don't like to deal with Wonda .. check out https://eu.etoren.com/
But i recommend Wonda because they have better service.
Another thing, why you are looking for Snapdragon variant? I had that (bought from Wonda) for about 3 months but i sold it and got the Exynos that is sold in Europe, i find the battery life a little better with Exynos than Snapdragon. The performance is the same, i felt that Exynos has more power sometimes than Snapdragon.
Don't forget that you get only 1 year warranty (it's not valid within Europe) when you buy any Snapdragon version, you need to return the phone to the store you bought it from and they fix it by themselves which means they don't send it further to Samsung workshop ... you have to pay for the shipment almost 50 USD... But with Exynos, you have 2 years warranty within EU and you don't need to ship it anywhere, just look for Samsung Workshop that is close to you and drop it off there.
A last thing also, you have to accept that some features may not work well if you import your phone from these asian countries or even from America. The same with the 3G/4G/5G networks, especially 5G, it is not supporting more than one band in Europe, so you will have to live with that if you want to go for Snapdragon variant.
