Adobe Reader LE 2.5.1 - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Could someone post a link of Adobe Reader LE 2_5_1_0_360303_00
Thanks all!

It seems to be integrated to roms... yeah. Would like to have. I have pdf-s with tables in them and in acrobat the letters seem to be written with milk but foxit mobile displays them well

It's not integrated in ROMeOS, but can be found in it's topic as an additional tool.

Web Browsers

What web browsers do people use? Ive been using opera mobile but it is annoying how when you scroll down on the page it scrolls from link to link. Is there anything in which you can move around the page freely? or am i using opera wrong?
thanks
I personally wouldn't mind a browser such as the safari browser.

Yes, just drag the page around with the stylus rather than using the d-pad.
Try Netfront. I have installed it yesterday and happy with it.
I love Opera Mini - by far the best IMO.
I want skyfire, but I have yet to get my beta invite.
Well Opera mini for me is so far the fastest browser. I try netfront 3.5 and I must say that I like the zoom feature really much but a bit slow.
I've been using NetFront for about a month and it's been meeting my needs. I agree that it's a bit slow at times (zoom activities and loading), but my guess this is due to debug code rather than a core rendering issue.
I'd like to see another drop from NetFront, so if you have problems please provide feedback on the NetFront website.
opera mini got my vote. I love how speedy it is. By far the best.
I have opera mobile not mini and i think is a great browser the download manager is great not like the IE that sometime damage the files when downloading . . .
Iam using Opera 9.5 beta love it!!
And waiting for skyfire..

I tried that but I had the following problems:
1
Sometimes the results are so massive you get lost
2
You are often left flat with no results at all
3
As a middle aged man you can have problems with the Campus Police.

Haha. Reminds me of vijay's naked chicks post. (Which I loved so much I've added it to my sig)

Opera Mobile Problem
I've searched around and haven't found anything relevant to this. When i last flashed to a rom and went to install my Opera mobile cab i had not problems but i cannot access a secure website with it now. Maybe I'm just stupid and have a setting wrong but i haven't be able to find it. Any help (including redirection) would be appreciated.
I tried installing opera mini and it doesn't appear on installed programs, neither it appears on file explorer...

Open the Java application in "Applications" it should be listed there. Then use the search function or hit up google to find out how to make shortcuts.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for Fuze

alright, sorry to be "that guy" but I read the stickies, did a search and nothing came up in the raphael sections for tony hawk, but I read somewhere earlier someone said that a must have app is tony hawk 2 (although its not full screen) it was on page 3 of must have apps I believe. But anyways, can someone please help me get this onto my phone? As you can see by my username I skateboard, and tony hawk 2 is my favorite of them all (it's the first with manuals) anyways, could someone please tell me how to get this onto my phone? Do I have to download an emulator and then the rom? or is the rom going to straight up work somehow? I'm not a computer guy really, I'm just an idiot with a question I'd like answered. Please Please PLEASE help me out here, I want to get my fuze working awesomely
-Robby
This should be posted in the Raphael software forum. You'll have better luck getting answers there and will probably anger fewer of the ROM gods.
thanks for moving this for me, sorry for posting it in the inappropriate section to begin with
Iam not sure if Iam not breaking rules or something. But THPS2 is PPC game. You dont have to emulate anything. Just downlaod it and play. It runs great on my HTC Touch Pro.
Where to get THPS2:
Code:
[COLOR="Red"][B]MOD EDIT: Links to WAREZ sites are strictly prohibited.[/B][/COLOR]
Iam not sure, if THPS2 is Licensed or not. Its not my post, and i just searched for it. So iam not responsible for anything (^^,)
Consider this the first and last warning.
WAREZ links are strictly prohibited.
Organize your text
I don't want to break the rules, but would it be against the rules for him to private message me the link? if it's not, can whoever posted the link send it to me via PM? I REALLY love this game
just buy it
ive tried hardware accelerated version and couldnt get it to work on touch pro. havent tried sofware version
Anyone got running THPS2 on TouchPro/Fuze at full speed? If yes, what ROM are you using?
XPERIA users got really nice gamespeed..

Interesting. Aren't the two pretty much the same except for externals?
Wow this is great. I played this game so much when it came out years ago. I'm going to install it now I hope it runs alright. If not, would the Xperia trick work on the touch pro as well?
it runs fine for me (touch pro with original rom). i have the software version and there is a libgles_cl that you need to replace with the version found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415523
Okey i have been wondering about something for a very long time..
well this is what i do.
1. open up the hardware keyboard
2. launch the THPS2 game
3.configure the keys to the hardware keyboard which do work..
well playing with the hardware keyboard is perfect and great but when i exit the game the configuration of the keys sets it self to default... which is very annoying as i have to reconfigure the keys again after each time i launch the game.. well the game it self works as it saves it self and so forth so it's playable..
well are there any sollution for my problem or is it a bad-install?
Go to TH2_OPT.CFG file and uncheck 'read-only'. Now the settings will remain saved.

Almost.. xperia has more ram available for graphics (GPU)
So what do i need and where do i get it to, run Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 on my HTC Fuze, please i really want this, it sounds like so much fun, so any help would be greatly appreciated
Any way to make it run reverse landscape instead of landscape? :|
well what i do is that i open my keyboard first and then launch the game and it will be in correct mode to the use of the keyboard.. is that what you mean Kraize?
@DSF: well the game runs really great and is very very playable.. not just for showcase.. well i use NATF rom v4.0 and it works really great... it's fully playable when the libgles files are changed and when the keyconfig read only trick is applied...
yeah, the catch is always open keyboard before launching app. came with cod2
i think i need to reinstall thps now because my playing screen is tiny

A browser for you all

Hi,
I've been a visiter here for a few years. This is my first post.
I've managed to get out the Net Front Browser that came pre-installed on my T-01A. It's a 2009 version and is very lite on battery. It runs in English on my English rom without trouble. It also utilizes the hard zoom bar of the TG01.
It's very different in useability and quality to any of the NF concept versions I've tried.
There are around 14 files to be copied to the windows folder and thats it.
However, some may contain some personal information so I'd like someone to help me clean them up before I post the files as a zip or torrent them.
The NF is based on the kernel of IE Mobile and works not that smooth. For WM devices, I recommend IrisBrowser though its develop team was required by RIM a year ago , Iris still works and the UX is perfect

Sorry, I tried the Iris browser for a few days but it's not a patch on the NF that I have. It kindov works but it's unuseable compared to what I was/ am offering.
Sorry that you think the Iris is better, lol. It is very inferior.
never mind...not everyone cares the same thing. what i care is full web experience and html 5 support, while nf, whose acid3 test result is not acceptable
btw, except the ui, what do you care when choosing a mobile browser?

I guess you are an an employee of Iris or have connections there'ov, otherwise are you numb to judge what you don't know as you haven't downloaded my files yet?
Simply : I know about what I am speaking and you are speaking.
You only know of what you're speaking and don't know of what I am speaking.
how i wish i could work for RIM.....
but truth is what one believes so it's useless to explain more
the netfront is the mobile browser made by access in japan, isn't it?

wait... you said you have post files to be downloaded? where are they?
I did not say I had posted any files, but I can.
The 1 main advatge with this browser is battery life.
With Opera 10 minutes browsing takes 10% battery, with NF 1 hour's browsing takes 10% ( or thereabouts).
The difference is comparable with Windows media player and Core player. WMPlayer is about the same 10 minutes is 10% battery and Core player 1 hour is 10 % ( playing music).
It doesn't support flash, but it's as fast as Opera for one tenth of battery usage. And so for browsing - it's the best browser I've found.
When I had the stock Japanese rom on it I used it all the time. After flashing an English rom it was sufferable with only IE opr Opera, they both drain the battery like a gorilla in a banana shop.
It was tricky to get the files out as the are protected rom files and ordinarily uncopiable. But I've got them.
If you know anyone else who has managed to get the JP version of NF from a Japanese Toshiba T-01A (which is completely in English when installed on an English rom) then please, ask them, or download from them.
Is this not On topic?
This is definitely on-topic XD
It seems a bit silly to get into an argument over the difference of opinion here. Just hurry up and link to the browser so we can all have more alternatives! =)
i see, trying to look for it

Here's a link
https://rapidshare.com/files/458372874/NFB.rar
*** Please read below ***
It's a RAR file with 12 files and 2 folders.
You need to select 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' and uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files' in your pc's 'Folder Options' to see all the files and so copy them. (or use a decent phone file explorer)
Copy all 14 to your phones' 'Windows folder'.
Link to NFStartup (or 1 of the others).
And give it a try.
It's off a T01 A so the hard zoom bar should work fine on TG01.
If problems on a different screen resolution, there is an 'nfview' file that looks configurable.
Also the Widgets thing is crap as far as I know so you can save a few MB and delete that; It should still work fine.
seems different to find. actually it is also difficult to find a third party japanese rom:-(

Sorry, it is due to the network delay, I'm downloading and will try it later. Thank you for sharing.
In fact, it's the NF 3.5 for WM, you can open this link http://acid3.acidtests.org/ in this browser, the result is 36/100 here, you may run this test in other browsers for a try.
Here're the results I've tested months ago for your information:
http://shrt.st/10ae
Your right, it is the 3.5, I noticed it on when it starts up.
That acid test is a waste of time. It bears nothing useful in reality.
The NF still out performs all other browsers in the real world. But if you need flash for something use Opera.
Good luck on the battery life.

[Q] Could someone with 3.2 please check if Tiger Arcade scales correctly now?

Hello, Acer Iconia tab owner here. Since we don't have 3.2 yet, I was wondering if one of you could please check if Tiger Arcade works now with the new zoom feature...it didn't use to scale correctly. Thanks!
I just tried Tiger GBC playing Final Fantasy Legend and it looks and runs fine.
I'm not running stock 3.2, though. I'm using the 2.0.1 Tiamat ROM.
That's great to hear! Did you even have to use the new zoom feature? For me, 3.1 on the Acer, the window is tiny, games run but are more like phone-sized. Also, what version number of Tiger Arcade was that? Thanks for the info!
or actually, just understood that you said GBC, so gameboy...alright, that's cool to hear as well, but Arcade (Mame) is what was causing my issue. Would you mind testing that?
I don't have Tiger: Arcade. It doesn't seem to be on the market anymore. Do you have apk and a game rom?
Scales great. I have a hard time finding roms that work on it though. The rom that I tested it with was "Mega Twins". All the scaling options worked great. What roms work for you?
That's great to hear! It was an unplayable small screen on 3.1, awesome. What version of Tiger Arcade is that?
For roms, I've used this: http://www.coolrom.com/roms/mame/
I've tried at least a few of the Metal Slugs and 1944, those at least worked good (as far as I could tell from the small screen). It supports gamepad too, so I'm looking forward to hooking this up to a tv and having a portable console =)
Thanks for testing! And ccossin - I couldn't find the site where I downloaded the apk right now, but I should have it bookmarked on my home machine. I can get back to you (or perhaps Mr Bland can say what version and where he got it from).
Edit: Oh yes, for many ROMs you need the "neogeo" rom as well. So that might be causing problems, remember to get that rom too.

Thanks for this.
You know what, I can't find the bookmark (I guess I didn't make one) and I couldn't locate it again although I tried googling a bit. Unless somebody else can point you to the right page for downloading it (they were pulled from the market), I can of course mail you the apk, if you'd like. Just PM me with your address and I'll send the apk over. Or if somebody else has the link for downloading the emulator, please share, it'd probably help others who come to this thread too.

It is version 1.4.4. I bought it from the market before it was removed. I haven't tried Googling it but you could try one of the alternative markets. Slideme, Andappstore, and a couple of others that are actually mostly warez but are good places to check for apps no longer available; Google should be able to help you.

Apps for pdf and epubs

Hi,
android is working on my nook simple touch and it looks fine.
Now I'm looking for an app to read pdf AND epub books. My main needs are highlighting text and taking notes with the possibility to export them.
Is there one app that can do all that ?
Ezpdf looks great but it's just for pdf; same for coolreader, but just for epubs...

+1 for Mantano. I paid for the "Premium" version, and it has been worth every cent.

Which version of Mantano are you using? I tried to download it for playstore but it says it is not compatible with my device. Now I am trying to find some older version, but no success so far.
I can answer it myself: Finally I found an old version 2.2.11 that works well. Obviously the new 2.3.x versions are just not working.

Mine's stayed at an older v2.x. I can't check from here, but will this evening.
The older version still works well, with the quirk that it sometimes crashes back to the launcher when I try to generate covers when importing books. I import with no covers, then manually generate covers later and it's happy. Other than that, the older version works very well on the NST.
