Hi,
Hopefully this is an appropriate posting for the "General" section.
I have read a lot online and it seems many HTC users are choosing to make their phone look like an iPhone, odd if thats what you want why not go get an iPhone. However, I do think Apple were on the right track and many of the Home / Today screens on the HTC seem to reflect the "finger scrolling" and smart icons... I guess what I am trying to ask is what ones do people prefer and use currently which bring out the best in their Kaiser ( both portrait and landscape mode).

You want the cab to make the device look like an iPhone? If so, do a little search for iFonz

Mods are actually up to you. Some people might not like to have Background on All Tabs, some people do. It's up to you to explore and apply which mods you like.
As for performance mods, you might try to download Advance Config. To mod TF3D, you can download the configurator as well.
Search through the boards, and learn. No spoon feeding here...

Now I am by no means able to make or create any of these roms. I am no chef. But I am a very much fan of all the chefs here that create what makes our experiences better. So yes I would first like to say thank you. This place has a strong importance and so do everyone a part of it. I will always appreciate it.
Okay so from what I been told before and what has been said from the senior members developing the roms the we use now is that htc did not make 2.5 with landscape mode except for the music and pictures tab. 2.5 was not made for the tp2 but for the leo. Its been ported to our phones along with our roms. Read the description of the roms and they will tell you flat out if they are using 2.1 or 2.5
With that said the is a developer who has been working on a 2.5 landscape hack and it is functional. Now it is not perfect as he says but it does work.
Go to the applications section to check it out yourself.

Theme Queston

Hey guys,
Sorry for asking such a basic question but I have searched through the Wiki and tons of posts but I can't find the answer anywhere. Then again, I might have overlooked it since my eyes started to glaze over with the vast amount of information on this awesome site.
Anyways, the question:
Do you have to have a ROM flashed on your phone in order to use a theme?
I'm interested in using the Dirty Paper or Shakass theme and am confused on what I need to do.
I understand the premise of .cabs and whatnot.
Also, what version of Manilla (TouchFlo 3d) is on the Alltel Touch Pro? I get the phone in a week so I don't have it in hand.

I see all these different ROMs, and I'm just wondering what exactly it takes to Cook a ROM for a Touch Pro 2, I looked around, and I might just be stupidly blind.
