Anyone One Got A Copy That I Can Have I Need One But I Heard Micrsoft Discontinued It I Have Tryed The Other Visual Basic Like 2005 Express But I Think That 6 Is The Best Because It Is The Simpalest To Use!!!

no really, I didnt mean to do that. You are SOO SMART!!
oh ya BTW dont ask for help go bring your poor a$$ to a store and buy the software
First:
PETER RED: VB 6 is part of Visual Studio 6 and though MS may not be selling it directly any more it is still proprietary software and requesting a free copy is asking for WAREZ which is not allowed on this forum.
g35driver: I think its time for a warning: please stop picking fights with users over typing habits. If you want to tell him not to ask for WAREZ its fine, but no point in getting in to a fight over capital letters. Note that some languages like Hebrew, Arabic and I think many Asian languages do not have capital letters at all.

Hi,
I am wanting a very simple custom rom but I am not sure how to "cook" one.
I've read the tutorials, etc.. but I'm still very confused.
I will try to get a hang of it, so I can make a truly customied Rom, but in a mean while can someone be kind enough to make me a basic custom ROM?
All I need/want is a UK ROM (or any english based rom) with Korean fonts, Korean Keyboard, Korean Thumb keyboard, Powerdic (All theses are pre-included in SKTELCOM ROM).
Korean Thumb Keyboard is like the one in HTC devices where you can type letters with onscreen number pad (I believe it's called "SKY II" in the Korean ROM)
Basically, I need an English ROM with full Korean Support. (powerdic is a dictionary program included in Korean ROM)
I could install softwares to my X1 with English ROM to get a similar result, and I tried but the result wasn't perfect - I was not able to read at some conditions and not able to write sometimes as well)
Can anyone PLEASE be kind enough to make one for me?
I hope it won't take that long..
Thanks for looking.
no one will do it for free. you should consider giving some incentives, otherwise everyones' gonna ignore you

for this you have my kitchen
just use it
br
If I get a chance later I will
But I can't promise anything, it'll depend on how my time pans out.
You should try to cook it yourself? Maybe instead, ask for like a "How To Cook Basic Rom" guide or something. Just like being able to take someones rom and maybe tweak it a bit to your own liking? Less hassle for them and puts more control into your own hands.

Thanks for the reply.
I've actually read some tutorials and guides but could not fully understand.
So, I went one to try something, and I wasn't going anywhere.
First of all, I didn't know what folders had what, and did not configure how to mix components.

Thanks a lot!
I'll try to figure something out in a mean while..
Hope I can find some who did something similar already..
Most audience in here are English user. For this kind of language specific request, normally you should look for forums in yr language community. I am not sure about Korean, but I know there's a lot of those forums for Chinese and Russian (in fact, many of them are really hard-core hacker).
The reason I need help from ENG speaking people is that I live in Canada and I use my phone in this country.
Sadly, Korea uses a bit different structure for mobile phones and there are a few things that work differently - for example, SMS feature is a lot different.
Since I am a Korean-Canadian, I use Korean language as well.
Only thing I need is Korean language input/output, and possibly ABC tabs in contact list converted in Korean Language - I think I can find a way for this by modifying some registries.
If someone can at least make Packages from SKTELCOM ROM, then I guess I can finish the rest.
I tried extracting and got stuck in making them into packages..
Plus, I don't know where the language related files are usually located from the extracted stuff..

Well I've just cooked you one, in fact two, but it's not booting. I'll try again tomorrow.
If you use evrius ultilanguage GUI rom kitchen, it'll extract the rom from nbh and make it into packages, it's all pretty easy to do. Then do the same with the UK (or NA) one and combine, but it's not happened with me tonight.
Language files are all those in 412 folders.
WOW, Thanks so much for trying that for me.
I will also try to make something out of it with the info you gave me.
Thanks

hi fards, just curious if you might have been successful in the cooked rom dahanist was looking for. I'm in the same situation, except I live in korea and cant really take advantage of the phone with a full korean OS, so i want to install an English OS but keep all the korean compatibility for sms, input, etc. Figured this might do the trick. Any luck yet?
By the way, there's a seperate thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=500446) where several people in my position are willing to pay money for a good cooked English ROM with korean language support, how's that for incentive?
got it
If anyone is still looking for this i found the answer

Mind if I ask what your answer is? Theres some custom English ROMs posted on another post here. I'd be curious to know what else you may have found though otherwise.
things like 2mr and tmr.
hell, I don't use short forms. is there anyway I can load up Swype with STANDARD ENGLISH WORDS. then I'll add shortform/alien languages that I type manually.
like why would I want the word "berti" in my Swype's dictionary. I don't even have any friends named that! once I have bull**** words like nnniiinnnaaa and eeeeeee? what the ****, lol. I've never added those words.
of course, I can remove them but it's a pain in the butt(if some words can even be removed).
Are you using a ROM from Samfirmware? Because it's possible that someone else added them before uploading the rom. ..
yup I'd think so. thanks for the input!
guess I'll make do with nonsensical words than my stock rom if it's true.
Hello, beautiful community !
I'm an 82-born (1982, that is... ) guy who has traveled a lot and who managed to cram 10 foreign languages into his head, of which 6-7 fluently.
I've been leeching and lurking around this message board for a few weeks and managed to do amazing stuff with my Desire GSM and Desire HD. I'm no hacker, but I can understand and follow a "downgrade - root - flash ROM" tutorial without bricking a phone. Apart from that, I'm a complete stranger to the world of Linux. I tried to install it once and almost FUBAR'd the computer...
This being said, I've discovered amazing tweaks for my DHD (new improved ROMs by LeeDroid or MDJ, their kernels as well as LordClockan's, Seo's Sense 3 tweaks, MrGarak's tweaked MIUI, just to name a few, etc) thanks to you so now I'd like to give something back.
I'm fluent in English, French, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, not so bad at Spanish and German and understand Italian and Polish. Plus, I work as a freelance translator and am already seasoned in the mobiles/hi-tech field.
Thus, if you wish to have text strings, ROMs, MODs, or whatnot translated... don't hesitate !
Some might say that putting Linux on your 'puter, by definition, Fubars it!
Welcome to the forums!
you should try https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide (at your own risk)
thanks brilldoctor ; I don't plan on fiddling with Linux anytime soon but in case I will, I'll have a look !
I do not know now where and to whom to ask .. I know that you are well informed and interested in good and useful things ...
So .. Can you help me with this I find a program to translate foreign languages speech.
