I've used qmail for years on my magican. I tried to install it on my new Raphael. The program seems to work fine, but I am no longer able to select which IMAP folders to synchronize. The box which was easy to tick on the qvga screen is barely visibe on the new device. Ticking it doesn't seem to make any difference. Anyone who knows the solutinon to this problem?
I really like this software, because I am able to store all my mail on the storage card, and access it also when I am offline.

Rather annoyingly my screen has broken (it's cracked, I think -- coincidentally only two days after my brother's did the same thing). I'd like to somehow get hold of my contacts from within the phone. My brother has done this using some sort of device emulator thing to open the file in which they're kept, however he's on a different version of Windows, and I don't see that file on my phone.
I'd be very grateful if anyone could explain how I can do this.
first of all, try connecting it with activesync. Then go to options and select contacts(make sure u save the current contacts on outlook first and delete them so that the PPC contacts takes the place of them)
Then, Simply sync ur PPC
Thanks a lot. However, I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I connect up, go to options... but I don't see what I can do to select contacts. I see it in the list of "types of information", but it doesn't have a box next to it that I can tick (unlike some of the types), and clicking on it doesn't seem to do anything.
Also -- and this is going to sound very stupid -- what's outlook? All I can remember that has outlook in the name is Outlook Express, but I expect that's not it. I tend to avoid that sort of thing, see.
Hi all,
My Kaiser (Vodafone 1615) has developed a problem with the standard Windows Messaging application. It basically won't run at all. When I click on the Messaging application in the Today screen, nothing happens. When I choose Messaging from the Start menu, nothing happens.
A quick bit of history: for several months I've had it set up for connecting to our work Exchange server, so email/calendar/contacts/tasks would get pushed down to the device. I also had IMAP configured to access my gmail account. I would sync calendar/contacts/tasks/notes/files to my home computer (Windows Mobile Device Centre on Vista), and sync notes only to my work laptop (ActiveSync 4.5 on WinXP). It was all working beautifully.
Then, a few days ago I connected my Kaiser to my work laptop and I got error 0x80004005 when it tried to connect to the Exchange server. Since then, I have been unable to access the Messaging application on my Kaiser. I've found quite a few references online to this error code, but nothing that seems particularly useful.
Of course, I've done a soft-reset as well as taken the battery out to do a cold-boot, but to no avail. I suspect that if I were to do a hard-reset then I could get it working again, but I've hesitated so far to do that because I'd have to re-install all my other apps which would take some time, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out!
Maybe this is the opportunity to try out one WinMo 6.1...
Thanks in advance!

Yes, there is a Messaging shortcut in both the Windows and Start Menu folders. It points to "tmail.exe", which exists in the Windows folder. When I try to open tmail.exe directly in File Explorer, nothing happens...

Looks like I am out of ideas. Do u use HTC HOME? If yes, what happens when u hit one of the icons(where it counts your received messages, mails, ...)?
If this is not working, then u should install some sms application and use it instead of the default one.

Yes, I use HTC Home, and I get the same behaviour (i.e. nothing happens) when I click on the two buttons where it counts the number of messages I have.
I'm really thinking I'm going to have to do a hard reset to get this working again unless anyone else has any ideas...
I just installed emoze, which I finally managed to get working well, but it automatically configured itself to call the mailbox "emoze", and I would like to change this. I searched all over the registry, but was unable to find this.
Does anyone know where WM6.1 or TF3D store this information, so I can go in there and change it (the way emoze installs itself on the device you cannot go in and edit this setting via the WM interface).
Thanks!
Hi Diplomate,
emoze uses a special API to set the account name, changing it will result in emoze not functioning at all.
Gilirock.
I finally gave up on emoze!
In the end, I had to give up on emoze, as it has a couple of very annoying bugs:
First, any calendar event which recurs yearly gets added multiple times back into the Outliik calendar (using the PC client), but I was not able to figure out the logic there: some where added 5 times, other 12, others 13. None were touched/edited/open on either the device or Outlook, as they were set months in the future... a reat PITA to clean-up!
Second, emoze seems to ignore the "File As" field when importing contacts into the diamond, so all your contacts revert back to the default "lastname, firstname" display order, regardless of how you have them set in Outlook. As this sort order cannot be changed in TF3D, you are SOL!
Basically, a great idae/product if you could configure it to only take care of e-mail, and let ActiveSync take care of your calendar/contacts, etc. But this is not possible - apparently emoze wants to only do it all, so...
Too bad! I loved the push e-mail!
I have saved a number of draft sms messages that i would like to either save to an external program on a pc, or at least print them out.
I have install both active sync and can see the whole device, but have no idea where or what these files would be saved as.
ive also downloaded and used sprite explorer and backup, but this only seems to backup all the data on the device.
Has anyone ideas as to
A) What these files would be saved as
B) Whats the best way or program that would allow me to save this and view them on a pc.
Ive tried jeyo mobile extender but it doent seem to work with the diamond
any help is much appriciated
Hi everyone,
I used to have MyphoneExplorer for my k800i but know I have the x1 but cant find any program like MyphoneExplorer for free.
Does anyone know a free program like myphoneexplorer to organize my texts/calls/ etc etc
Hope someone can help
ty
you should prob describe what functionality your MyphoneExplorer offered
as people here would be more likely to know about programs for wm then old SE phone programs
The program saves text messages.. and you can accept cals trough your pc.
I found oxycube from oxygen. But that program is pretty expensive.. and would like a similar free program
no one is using a phone manager on your desktop??

MyPhoneExplorer is an awesome program that let you connect your phone to your computer (either by bluetooth or cable), and from your computer you can do those things:
- Contact: view, change, and sync your contact to the program own database, or Outlook, Outlook Express, or Gmail
- The same thing goes for calendar and note, you can sync them to its own database or Outlook. With calendar, you are given the option to sync to GCal, Rainlendar, or ICal
- You can also set up alarm from your computer and sync it to your phone
- It syncs all the record of your call: miss, receive, dial
- It syncs all your messages, and with the extra feature of archive your deleted messages.
- It let your browse your files on the phone: your pictures, your music...
- it monitor the status of your phone: storage, memory, bluetooth signal, phone signal, battery...
Literally, after connected, your computer is just like a huge screen phone with keyboard. You can browse everything that are on your phone. And when a sms arrives, it pops up like a chat window. And when a call comes, it pops up on your screen whether you want to accept or reject.
So far I never seen any program that can do all sort of thing. I can get some program to do some certain things I want. But I dont see any that sucks up all things I need to do with my phone into 1 program, like MyPhoneExplorer. My mind was just blown away when I used it. Honestly, after switching to a Win.Mobile platform, I still miss some of the features from MyphoneExplorer. I admit I am a big fan of it, not mention that it is free.

I am in the same boat with you. I owned a k800i and try recently bought a Touch Pro2. I try to find a replacement for MyPhoneExplorer and I find this one: MOBILedit. Its features description and its screenshot show it has similar functions to MyPhoneExplorer. Unfortunately, my phone is unsupported. So I cannot tell you how well those functions work.
But I see your phone is on the supported phone list. So maybe you can try it and see how it compares to MyPhoneExplorer. It is not free thou. And I doubt if there is any program offers all those cool features for free.
I just found xilisoft mobile phonemanager and its free!!.. And I only want to buy software if its great .. and mobiledit its ok for free but not great!.. if you know what I mean
