First post, tried searching but nothing similar to my issue.
I want to be able to upload pictures to Facebook via the HTC Album, but whenever I try and logon to Facebook through account manager it says "Error in Connection". Now my Username and Password is definitly correct, I've tried it when connected to Wifi, 3G, H and GPRS but get the same error message everytime.
Anyone offer any help please?
No-one have any idea why this is happening?

Hi
I tried searching for this error 0x80072f78 message and I don't seem to get this message under the same conditions listed in the posts that I've found. I am getting the message at random in PIE with either GPRS/3G or when connected by USB. I have no problems downloading mail but can't use anything else for data (google maps etc). It doesn't happen every time but is very spotty. ATT tech support was no help as usual. I applied the registry change in the posts that discuss this error in relation to USB/active sync only and it did nothing. I'm using the latest att rom.
Any suggestions would be welcome
Thanks

Alex -
Rather than starting a new thread - you should keep this in the thread that is already going about this error - that will help others when doing a search - they will be able to find all known issues with this error and all the things that can be done to fix it. I wish that I could help you - I cannot as I am not having this error.
Here is one thread that is already discussing this issue:

solution
Hey, my problem was fixed when I installed PDAVIET Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430510
I know this has been discussed before but I cannot find a solution that works for me. I accidently erased my connection settings. In doing so, I lost ability to surf the web. I went to an AT&T store and they input some settings that got me back on IE. But then I noticed a problem when trying to send/recieve e-mail. It will not send and recieve unless I am connected to my computer via USB or WiFi.
I found a thread that shows how to reinput the At&T ISP and MediaNet info in the settings/connections menu. I tried that. Went into manage existing connections, held on the connection and clicked connect. Still doesn't work. I tried downloading and installing the Cingular PDA Media Net settings that I also found in the other thread and still doesn't work.
So I was gonna try to reflash the phone, but then I saw that people were having this same problem after a reflash and didn't havethe problem before. So I wanna try everything possible before I do that.
Another thing I noticed that is when trying to sync my contacts to my PC, Active Sync tells me outlook is not installed on my device. WTF? This never happend before either! Thanks!
Hi,
I've got a problem and don't know what to do.
My phone is reporting a data connection (and reports that it's connected) but every program accessing the Internet fails with an error message that there is no connection.
Does anyone know whether there is a tool to check for an actual connection or maybe get a log of what exactly the phone is doing?
Any help to solve this would also be appreciated
Yes, the connection has worked before

Are still able to get email or update weather? If so I suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling your internet browser(s). Have you tried a cleanup utility like ClearTemp or SKTools? That may help.
No, I actually couldn't use anything that was using the data connection. It all failed, stating that there was no data connection.
The only thing that (kind of) "repaired" it was doing a hard reset...
Fortunately, I haven't experienced the problem since
I recently started getting a pop up message at the bottom of my screen stating: "Can not download at this time. Please try again later." The message stays there for hours at a time and then will randomly disappear. I am not trying to download anything when it appears and I haven't been able to find a solution to get ride of the message that blocks the bottom part of my screen.
Is anyone else having this issue? It only started 2 days ago.
Same deal here and also I cannot data connect, I haven't done anything new these past two days so I hope some one knows
i've gotten that message too. the only way i could get rid of it was to restart the phone. no idea how it showed up
I was getting the same issue. I tried ending the SNS service and it stopped. It's probably from syncing to social networks.
awkwardsilence50: I tried disabling the SNS Service and it didn't seem to make a difference for me. I also don't have any social networking services syncing on my phone. Has this fix continued to work for you?
did you guys try updating? maybe it's trying to update but can't...
I have been getting this error as well. Based on my personal experience, it seems to be related to the "Weather & Toggle Widget" by Android Apps. I seem to always get that message when I have a bad network connection and that widget tries to update location and weather data. I have unistalled the widget and reinstalled it a couple times, and I only seem to get that message when I have the widget installed. MP13, I happen to know that you have that widget installed as well.

Hi
I use the htc one on the swisscom network and I often have "no connection" in gmail or a similar error in feedly.. but only when I first open the application after some minutes of standby.. if I click then on reconnect it may work on the first attempt or after the 2nd or 3rd click..
even if I open gmail and the error is not yet displayed.. and I click on "reload" (the two arrows) I get the error - shortly after, it works...
anyone else with this problem? I switched off the power-safe feature that disconnects the data connection on standby.. and I can also receive whatsapp messages and mails while the phone is on standby.. - so the connection seems to be working (at least sometimes).
any tipps on that? what could be the problem?
Cheers
Google Play Music does not work at all over mobile network.. but works on wifi... any ideas?
