Hi guys, I feel forced to create this new thread.
I am very desesperate about my device.
I bought it on ebay, and it is locked to orange. I read many threads talking about unlock trinity, downloaded and runned "HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1".
It did not worked, I tried sometimes, so I gave it up and bought the unlock code, wich is sold on another site.
For my surprise, when I turned on the device( so I could insert the code ), this message came "you have tried 14 times, wait until timeout..."
I AM WAITING 4 DAYS AD NOTHING...
Please, can anyone help this brazilian newbee...

From what i saw all over the net many people have bought unlock codes wich turned out to be useless, including myself.
Is there any solution for this???
Rooting the phone has NOTHING to do with unlocking the phone for multiple network usage, etc. There have been many threads about this subject, please use the forum search option! Thank you.

I was trying to unlock my verizon droid 3. And when I´d inserted a sim from another carrier, it just says "subsidy lock, call provider".
How can I make the phone ask for the unlock code?
I read somewhere that this message appears when you tried too many codes, but havent tried anything. I read that this problem was solved on other moto phones by leaving the phone idle at subsidy lock screen for 4-5hs and the phone will ask again for unlock code, but thats not the case
Anyone experienced this problem?
call verizon tell them your going our of country on a business trip and you have a european SIM already that you would like to use, but you need to unlock your phone. viola
Im already outside US. Problem is phone dont ask for unlock code.
Alltel or Verizon Wireless do not use any type of subsidy locks on their CDMA phones. Default Code:000000 or 123456 or 654321
that is what i found by looking up the subsidy lock error you described. tell me what happens when you input one of these. im still doing more research for you

the fact that their is no dialog box is weird to me. can you press the menu key? does anything pop up? i googled this but did not find anything. ima check some other sites. do you have an account with verizon?
Yes, phone was working on verizon till the day I leave my city.
The only option when I put a foreign sim card... it´s just the subsidy lock legend and if I hit the discard dialog box, phone goes to android home menu. But obviously with no gsm signal.
I can do everything, flash, root, everything. The only thin I cant do, it´s downgrade, phone was updated to last verizon 2.3.4 OTA when was connected to verizon network, and as other thread says, it´s no downgradeable atm. Im thinking that verizon could have put some newer simlock protection to latest updates...
since subsidy lock is simply by the carrier you can contact verizon and they can tell you what to do. if you dont have anyway to call the usa, you should email them.
Well... more news. Contacted verizon tech service and they teach me how to get to the unlock screen. But for the code I have to wait almost 6 more months.. lmao

sorry you have to wait. i should have said there is a certain wait period for each person [i think 10 months] before their eligible for an unlock code. butttt you can always get one online. glad your initial problem was solved though

If anyone is experiencing the same problem, the only way to get the unlock code input screen is setting to only gsm mode and then turn on/off airplane mode a couple of times and magically unlock dialog box will appear.
there is one that works. ima go find which forum i found it in and post back tonight. probably within the hour. well i cant personally garuntee it works but it had good reviews from xda memebers

I have to do some things for the rest of the night and its too much too look up on my phone. If I don't get on again tonight I always check xda whe n I wake up so ill have it first thing tomorrow morning at the latest

Maybe share what you did to get the unlock code dialogue to open. Save others the time of having to call Verizon themselves, since you already did that
Why do you have to wait six months? Was your line on Verizon too new to get an unlock code?

Yep, first rule on a forum: dont say it works, say how you make it work
Its a couple of post above, set only gsm mode, turn on off airplane mode a couple of times, and unlock dialog will appear.
I'd unlocked other phone some time ago on verizon and for the next one, I have to wait half a year
Anyway Im not coming back to states anytime soon, so I'll have to throw it through a window

I have a GT-S5570, well to be precise it's my brother's mobile, however it was bought with a sim card under subscription,
so when a friend gave him this phone, it was network locked.

but though the phone said the network was unlocked, and I can see the band bars on top of the screen, the phone doesn't work
well, infact I can't even call anyone, it says "dialing" but then nothin' happens...
i tried to research manually for the operator, but it didn't work, i tried to flash a rom with odin
and see if something changed, nothing...
I wan't to say that I've searched for similar posts but I've found none, and I would have wrote this in the thread I linked before,

I have an att version that i paid off, requested an unlock code, got it and tried to unlock it but keep getting an unlock unsuccessful error. has anyone seen this or have any ideas how to get it to go through?
how did you get the code? You need to place another SIM from a different carrier in the phone and try it. If you have 5 or so failed attempts you will need a new code.
I asked att for the code. They gave it to me. I put in a Verizon Sim got the unlock code box to pop up. Typed in the code and it said unsuccessful. I'm at work so I can't sit on with att but I will tonight figured I'd try here first

Yeah be careful. Don't enter it too many times or you will need a new one. Keep us updated.

i have the same problem, i bought 2 nexus 6 on ebay. And two codes failded, i try to do a factory reset, update to Android 5.1, Connect to wifi, and nothing works, still saying unsucessful. Waht can i do.?

Sounds like you are doing it correctly, sorry to say this but I think you both need to call AT&T to straighten it out.
ive search all threads but found nothing
my phone is network locked, dont work with my sim card.
the cell phone imei has no restrictions. i dont have a t mobile sim card to make a account.
when i try the t mobile app to try unlock, says : this devices is not eligible for unlock. for device unlock elegibility details, please go online or contact customer care (server error : error code 255)
ive search this error code but again, found nothing.
the device dont recognize on my computer, tried reinstall lg drivers several times. Coz i trought if i could change the rom, i could make it work (with comes with other problem, in lg site of kdz there is only t mobile roms for download, my model is LM-V405TA, i dont know if other model will work with no problem). who sold me, told me the phone become locked after a update software he made (the phone worked beforeo, a long time ago, i saw it), so maybe if i downgrade to oreo, even t mobile, maybe works, dont know. or if as mentined above, any other model kdz to flash could work, but as i said, the phone dont recognize on computer, eiter download mode or normal mode
and by my search, my phone cannot be rooted (someone mentined some "soldering stuff", what i wont do).
so my question is: there is really no other way to fix this ? i really have to pay almost 100$ to this sites that send a unlock code?

i can now use lgup and flash kdz. i did flash t mobile oreo but still locked network. Im almost sure if i flash the right kdz (clean with no carrier), i will solve this problem. But i cant find in the whole web for my model.

They asked 450 reais i my country (smthing about like almost 100 dollars). They said If my phone was spring, they could not unlock in anyway. Ive made a call to TMobile costumer support. They said in my case, th only way to unlock with them in tradicional way is If the previous owner pay his debits, but the account is closed. So im my case, the only thing i can do (im note sure, i really trust in this fórum but this time i had no help for at least directions or someone to Tell me How this works and what to do or not or what can or not can be done) is make a PayPal account and pay 70 dollars to some well know site do this job (my fear is If threre is any chance for them( when i say "them" i reffer to TMobile) to lock again after some time). But i guess we both are alone on this. So what i know and can share with you (im not sure but its what Ive heard), srints cannot be unlocked.
