Hard Reset the phone using buttons method.
What makes you think it's locked? Maybe the touchscreen doesn't work at all...

Hello.
I searched the forum a bit if there is a similar thread as mine but I haven't found one that would help me out.
I was clumsy and my Xperia X1 fall on the floor and now my uper slide part of Xperia lost connection. So my screen and buttons (PANEL, OK, take the cal, reject the call...) on it don't work. I will take my Xperia to a repairshop but first I would like to download all my stuff stored in it. But... there starts the real problem. I locked my Xperia so when I connect my Xperia to computer, with ActiveSync, it gives me the "Your device is curently Locked. To connect to or to synchronize with PC, please unlock your device.", but I can no type the password because my screen is broken. I tryed to type it with keyboard (the lower part of Xperia works) but there is no "Unlock" button like it was on the touch screen. I know that the keyboard works because the Xperia makes sound when I press enter and the keboard lightens up when I slide the uper part to open it. I know what my password is but can not confirm it... I tryed enter... ok... but nothing works... does anyone know wich button on the keyboard works? Can people that have Xperia X1 try wich one works... because I am working blind here
Is there a programm that maybe displays the screen of the Xperia on the PC screen so that I can type the password on the PC?
I don't want to hard reset because then I will lose all my data. And I also don't want to take my phone to repairshop before I duplicate my data.
Please help. If there is help
You could use mymobiler to display the screen of the xperia on your pc but I fear it won't work while your device is locked. Nevertheless you could try it.
I have an HTC Pure (AT&T) that is one month out of warranty. The phone can receive calls on its own and can make calls using my cars bluetooth hookup. The physical buttons on the phone work. When I push the window button, the program screen comes on but the touch screen does not work. It also shows lock on the bottom of the program screen (I've never set up a lock password on this phone). It will sinc with my computer but if I try to download anything, it won't work because the touchscreen doesn't work to ok the download. I've tried soft reset and was on the phone with AT&T tech support for 45 min and couldn't get the phone to hard reset.
Any ideas or suggestions?
TIA
I have been using my Xperia z for about a year and everything was great until recently I have experienced weird problems. Now my power button is not working I can't lock my phone and I have to wait for screen to sleep. Now the weirdest problem is that when I wake up the screen (by pressing the volume button) the display is not responding at all just like it appears that touch screen has been disabled. When I reset my phone it all got to normal but then again if the screen went to sleep than it will never be responding and I have to reset my phone again and try not to lock the screen.
Help What is wrong with my Xperia??
Have you tried to repair the phone software with the Sony PC companion ? Click Start the "Support Zone", then click on the start button for "Phone / Tablet Software Update" then click on the blue line that says "repair my phone / tablet" and follow the instructions. Hope this helps. :good:
Has anyone encountered a frozen screen?
Use the touch screen to malfunction. You can only press the power button again to lock the screen and unlock it:crying:.

None as I'm concerned. You should get it replaced. Although it maybe something cause by static. Turn it off for 3o minutes or so and only use the provided cable. Give it a try.

I have the same issue, I think is not a frozen screen, its the touch, try pressing volume keys and you will see that works. It happens several times at day, curiously that started after a Factory Reset, before never happened

Nice to hear it, please comment if the issue occur again. Regards.
My Google Pixel 4 XL fell from the second floor. The screen didn't break but it's now black and won't turn on. It has a small crack in the side plastic. When I connect the charger it vibrates as if it were charging. When I press the power button, it vibrates. When I connect it to my windows laptop, it shows as an "unspecified device" (see picture attached) and I can't access the memory.
Is there any way to recover some data such as whatsapp chat history or even to mirror the phone to my computer or something like that?
Thank you!
There are a lot of ways to do that but you need to unlock the phone first , do you have a lock pin or pattern lock ? Does the touch screen works ?

I have a pin. The screen/touch don't work.
Pretty much everything requires that you've done some footwork beforehand. If you had previously authorized a computer with ADB, you could use something like scrcpy to display the screen visuals on your computer. Browsing the phone storage on your computer won't work unless you've unlocked your phone. Which scrcpy could do, if ADB had been authorized.
You have to understand that your phone is encrypted by default and you have to unlock the phone to retrieve the encryption keys from the TPM. If your phone rebooted and is currently locked, you have to unlock it somehow. Even if that means tapping where you think the PIN digits should be to unlock the phone. The PIN input will have haptic feedback to tell you that you're at least doing something.
