Quickly and easily reboot your phone or boot your phone into recovery, or bootloader mode. Create shortcuts on your home screen to boot into a specific mode or reboot normally with one click.

its an app with three main objectives.
1) rebooting the phone
2) rebooting the phone into recovery mode
3) rebooting the phone into bootloader
but one thing im not happie with this app is that.....it doesnt save when shutting download....
Hello,
I am the developer of this app, and it's impossible because the Hero does not contain the reboot command (unless someone ports it.)
Thanks,
Isaac
Love this app use it all the time!
a posting i read from Diane Hackborn a few weeks ago says google removed the ability to do so. But so far i have only seen Hero having the issue.
And as far as removing it.. if you go into the directory reboot is there so im not sure what is blocking the permission to run it.
solved!!!!
You lost root when you rolled back to rc 29. You'll need to redo the process.
Yep just like he said. When you reload RC29 you lose root.
Yes I know I lost root not worried about that. My phone will not let me install in apk. From the market or the internet. I can down load them but not install them
any ideas
let me clear stuff up. i know i lost root im not trying to flash anything to my phone. ( i have rooted 3 different g1s several times and a couple of different ways i have good idea how this works i think)
i cant install any application on my phone!
i am getting a installation unsuccessful error with all .apks on rc 29.
also this mean i can not get root back do the fact i cant telnet or run any third party app.
so my phone i stuck in original stock hell.

The problem is that rc29 is based on Android 1.0 and currently the telnet app in the market is made for Android 1.5... that's why that, or any other of your 1.5 apps, fail to install.
Try to find a copy fo the 1.0 release of telnetd and try again

ok i think i had a swap partition still on my sd card. and when i flashed back it some how read that as internal memory so i used another card. and it worked like magic. lol gosh im dumb!!! if you ever need anything feel free to ask me i would give some money but im broke college kid. and im about to test and see if get the same results and if i do i would like the word out. because i think one click root app will be short lived (which kind of sucks).

Not true, I can drop to RC29 and download and install telnet.
i dont have a data plan now so i cant activate the phone and i cant use adb cause its not working on win7 for me..is there anyway i can just flash spl and radio and skip the recovery image? I tried someones sim but it just says error when i try to register.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.. or Confirm this is correct. but..
If you're on an official rom you're out of luck, but if you can update to an ADP rom no login will be required. It's not a SPL or radio issue, purely rom based.

What phone are you using on what network? Was the other person's sim card on the same network? did they have an android data plan?
ADP means Android Developer Phone.

Oh both sims were tmobile US, and the other phone was a moto zn5 so it wasnt a g1 plan.
So I'm *assuming* you're on a G1. You basically have three choices, either goto a t-mobile store and beg one of their techs to let ya use their data to register, find someone else with a g1+data and ask to use their sim card or go adp.
The downside of going with an adp rom is you'll loose the t-mobile branded stuff like tmo ringtones, the myfaves app, ?youtube? (not sure on this one, you should do some reading first or hope someone else chips in).
If you really need your phone now, and are able to install custom roms the adp version of donut can be found --here-- Note: I run the official roms so am not too well versed in ADP vs. AOSP+ADP but it looks like you may actually want the latter(AOSP+ADP)

can i rename the recovery image to update.zip the load it in recovery mode?
No, no renaming the recovery image.
Ok, so let me get this straight. You unrooted a rooted phone, to install the official cupcake so you could "one touch" root it which installs a custom recovery image @ the same time?
this is starting to hurt my head...

Gotcha, headaches gone but unfortunately it looks like your stuck. It appears this process *assumes* you have a data connection(for the login process) and without this most guides out there are going to be useless, especially at this point.
I'd say add data for a month or w/e then remove it if you must once done doing what you're doin... or go back to looking for someone with data that can help ya get logged in. Bout the only ways out I can forsee atm.. Wish I could be more help...

I was gonna get flex-pay at Tmo since i hate being tied down to contracts and it can have a g1 data plan added.
alright, cool. Ya, i just got it from someone else wiser than I that without data you've got a long road ahead of ya getting your phone back up n running.
You can always do it the old-fashioned way... Just downgrade to RC29, login with WiFi. Then do the root process that way. Only takes 15min at most.

There's a way to bypass it with rooted ROMs, of which RC29 is one. You can. There's a whole guide on how to do it.
Is there one for the Droid? I have not kept up with the going ons with the Droid as I just got Verizon today.
there is 2.
Sprecovery and clockwork.
If you download rom manager, it'll flash the recovery for you with one button.
Sweet...I guess Amon_Ra has not come out with a recovery for the droid..

There isnt one. And its a very safe bet that there wont be either. Stuff built for a 1.GHz processor (Desire), wont run correctly (if at all) on the G1 (528 MHz).

he tried in the beginning, but couldnt get it working graphically. sprecovery came out pretty quickly and so we didnt need it. then clockworkmod came and well, no need.
Plus Amon_Ra is mostly out of the recovery scene now.
So this has been mind breaking for me. I failed to flash the blackrose hboot everytime i trie and on every rom. It gets to the point where it has sent it files and then it says <waiting for device>. This happens on stock, BuglessBeast, rcadsmixhd 2.3 & 1.6 and hypersense (i like sense ). Anyone has any advice . Btw it did not brick it.
the problem your having isn't actually related to which rom your using on your phone. its that its not being detected as an adb device. you need to make sure that your drivers are installed and you see it in device manager as an ADB interface under Android Phone.

Ehm, usb debugging is enabled and detected by the software at first. It gets to the point that it sends its hboot and after that it says something like error: deviceoffline and then stuck on waiting for device forever.
it could be that another program like PDAnet is interfering.
do you use any other programs on your PC that would use adb?

well maybe htc sync but that was closed and its process was killed by taskmanager. No other programs i can think of.
well if your drivers are fine and there is nothing causing some form of interruption then. its probably an issue coming from the phone.
since you've tried it with so many different roms am guessing you didnt bother running/installing any apps
try it without the SD card inserted maybe.
thinking i should try and see if i can't replicate your issue find out what the issue is.

SO without my sd card it did not make any difference, apart from that it now mixes the message: adb server is out of date. Killing... and then waiting for device again.
the first time i installed blackrose i didn't use this method but maybe you can try flashing the hboot manually, which is what i normally do now, find it more straight forward.

is your bootloader unlock?

he removed the caution about slcd N1's so i think that shouldn't be a problem anymore.

You can easily flash ROMs without unlocking the bootloader. All that is required is to root the original OS and install a custom recovery using a program like ROM Manager.
But I believe the phone is detected differently when in fastboot mode. Did you verify that the phone is still properly recognized in device manager when in fastboot mode?
What happens if you put the device into fastboot mode (holding the trackball when powering on) and you type fastboot devices at your command prompt?
Awesome.
Glad to help ^_^

Not directly related but I had to use BREditor and create a new hboot with the 200/16/220 layout and flash that. I just could not get the ICS roms to flash otherwise... strange...

ICS is too big for the stock ROM space on the N1, so you need to make those alterations so it can fit. texasice did make a striped down version that works on stock though.

If you are like me, you have been flashing ROMS on your phone for years before you ever unlocked the bootloader. I didn't do it until about 6 months ago because I needed to flash Blackrose. Also, don't bite the hand that is trying to feed you.
