Alright fellass:
Almost all the threads in the site or at least 90% of them, describe some problem with the bad boy we have as a phone.
So if you are 100% satisfied and amazed by this beautiful piece of equipment, and life with the gorgeous Diamond is just a breeze, raise your hand.
You can count me in I had NO major issues with my baby everything works great, and is a pleasure to have.
(and you guys have to take in consideration that this phone is out in the market for less than 4 months, believe me that 9 months down the road the thing is gonna be unstopable)
So lets hear it who LOVES his Diamond post here. (thread posted on a Diamond)
Great Pic! Check it out!

I too am delighted with my Diamond. All I have done is flash a new radio on there and apply the tweaks. I find it runs smooth as!
Me too! I love this phone... Just started my.. humpf "old" HTC Touch (no Dual, no Cruise)... and cannot use it more ;-)
I love my Diamond! Even if on this site, you'll find some improvement, just out of the box, it's just a very nice guy!
Best HTC Device I have ever had
Best PDA ever and best phone ever

Im gonna give this a read.
Not today beacause its FRIDAY!!!
Friday=beer and girlyssss.
Cheers Fellasss
Well, I've said it before in other threads, at first I wasn't very impressed with its speed (1.34 ROM), although I love the design (both the phone itself as well as the TF3D) and screen from the very first moment. I could stare at it for hours
After all those ROMs started to pour, I made a lot of updates and also a lot of tweaking. Never had a problem with any software or whatever. (One comment aside, I'm very pleased with the new .831 stock ROM).
So, to sum it up, YES, I'm very happy with my Diamond, YES, it's the best PDA/phone I've had until now and I wouldn't trade it for any other model in the market these days.
Regards,
Yep, just loving it!
Glad to hear we have people out there that love their Diamonds.

Few devices match the looks and functions like this bad boy!
Luck Fellasss!
Hey guys, my X1 will be here in a couple days, REALLY REALLY excited, i've been wanting one for 8 months. Anyways I can't decide which ROM to use.
So far TouchIT Xperience 2.2 looks like the winner for me, what do you guys recommend?
I'd like UC,decent overall performance, ability to have panels+touchflo3D. Thanks guys!
Dutty's ROM is coming out soon i'd recommend that one. Itje's roms are all excellent and so are jack's in my opinion
So i love tweaking my xperia. tryng new apps. looking for the best look and feel. as well as having functionality!!
i've yet to flash to a custom rom....
it's all anxiety based... can't imagine what i'd do with an 800 dollar brik!
xcept smash my own face with it...
BUT aLas... SE decided that after i payed to have my screen fixed.. (minor burn mark after first week) that my one year parts and labor suddenly is only 3 months.. from time of payment... well my warranty's up... and i couldn't find anyone who would insure my phone...
I'M READY TO FLASH!
and a few questions i thought of...
I looooove! fingkeyboard2... i don't think i can live with out it...anyone have it working on any of the 6.5 roms?
does touch response work on 6.5.. cuz i love my vibrations! / softtouch??
im also not a big a touchflo user... i tried it when it was first ported to xperia full of bugs and lagg... never went back to it... i'm sure it's great now... but i'm not really into it as much as everyone... oh well.... HOW BOUT SPB shell 3.0? anyone got it working on 6.5?
is anyone currently working on new apps for 6.5?
/ probably not since it's not offical yet... just curious if anyone had found anything for it....
these are my few questions.... sorry for being verbose...
any answers are greatly appreciated!~!
edit...
oh damn i almost forgot another one i can't live without... xperia Tweak?! is it working on 6.5?
SPB Mobile Shell 3 & almost WM6.1 apps are working fine on WM6.5
As of late, 'our' part of the forum is seeing less frequent updates. Modders seem to leave for newer phones and the various ROMs that are being updated are becoming a minority.
So, are you still sticking with the X1 or are you thinking of getting the X2 or any other next-gen phone?
I am sticking with my X1 for now. Can't afford an X2 or X10 yet Maybe I'll change it in 4-5 years Just hope the chefs and cook keep coming out with better and better ROMs.
You cannot predict that kind of things anyway
Seeing as i cant get the X2 anywhere on contract and it isnt going to be much better than the x1 i am going to get the HD2 - its looks amazing!
I'm sticking with x1 for now too. But I am also very eager to get the Nexus One in my hands... as it already has a large and fast growing support on this very forum.

X1 for now definitely.
A great device.
X2 soon probably.
Happy with X1
I'm happy (and stuck on contract still for quite a while) with X1
It's a great hardware form factor if you want a hardware keyboard in a 'normal' sized phone, okay HD2 is definitely the lead 'sexy' device at the moment but it's too big and doesn't have a hardware keyboard.
To me there still seems to be a lot of ROM activity going on (more choice than I can handle) and the fact that latest Sense 2.5 has now been enhanced on this forum to run in landscape means that phones like the X1 are actually getting better again with later ROMs whereas before that it made sense to stay on Manilla 2.1 to have landscape support.
I'm just hoping that the cooks and the community get to the bottom of this Standby of Death problem that seems to be affecting many people on our X1 with WM6.5 + Manilla 2.5 builds as shiny software is nice, but unreliable is not something I can accept in my phone
People knock WM6.5's progress, but try the latest WM6.5.3 ROMs with buttons all along the bottom, Manilla 2.5 and finger friendly menus and icons everywhere and WM6.1 feels a huge step back!
Overall I'm very disappointed that Sony dropped the X1 with no official WM6.5 support after boasting that we were premium customers and would be supported as such...you bet I am!
However the ROM forum for X1 is still buzzing and making major changes so I'm very happy and see a bright future for the X1 still.
Thanks XDA Developers!
X10 or Nexus one
Just waiting for next month for MWC2010 for see all the goodies if nothing interesting then X10 or Nexus one
cheers
XT701 - if I can make it to China soon!
But realistically, I'll probably stick to X1 for a good few years because I don't even see anything on the horizon that fits my wants. Maybe WM 7 will come with some sweet new phones? If the XT701 comes to America I might get it when it hits despite the lack of a hardware keyboard.
I only just got my X1!
I went over to the HD2 camp. Still visit xperia forums occasionally as it now is my "play with roms" phone.
I'm still definately staying on the x1 ..... I've been a big harvester in times when the x1 scene was crowded and up-to-date....lately I have learned cooking and am trying to create ma own stuff.....now i'm under exams but i'll defo try to offer gd stuff for x1 users for at least an year or so....so yes I'm here to stay and to COOK !!

Me too, still have 20+ months contract more... loving X1 at least it is better than some normal phones that does not have qwerty keypad, I chose this phone because of its accessibility on qwerty keyboard and it looks nice
I have only my X1 at the minute. Contract is due for an upgrade in June, so considering the X10. I don't think that the X2 is worth upgrading too as many people have said that anything available on the X2 also works on the X1 (within reason...)
Love my wee X1 (beats the pants of my co-workers' Blackberrys! )
well... as some of You know allready - I gave up. the _only_ thing worse in hd2 over x1 is battery life. other than that - couldn't been happier... for now.
btw: no x2 in voda uk http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=11973 boo hoo we shall be so sad now I guess...
I think there will be ROM development for the X1 for quite a while. I had a Prophet before the X1, and there was a lot of activity on that forum 2 years after I got mine, and a good 18 months after it was non-current.
I think ROM development is the leading indicator to watch. I haven't looked at stats between different forums, but subjectively based on current activity I think we'll have ROMs for a while .
From a hardware perspective, the X1 is pretty good (prepare to be flamed). OK it's not leading edge any more, no accelerometer, video issues etc, but in terms of the processor and onboard RAM it's going to be OK.
Would I like the latest phone? Of course, but running a custom ROM which is fast & stable, I don't have a lot of motivation to change.
So I'm staying
I'll be staying
I've had this phone for 3 months and now i've only discovered the SE support issue. I wish i knew it when i brought it but i love the x1 in all its faults. What else could i buy, i didn't like much and it needed to be professional?! I hope development continues. I don't expect WM7 to be ported but that would be great.. I'm sure the phone wouldn't be able to run it on its specs.
Regardless I'll start a new thread and see what you guys are using your phones for and how you sync, i'm after ideas - this is my first smartphone.
I've had my X1 since a few weeks after it's release. I love it, but was dissatisfied that the software felt "unfinished" when SE released it. I now have the latest Christian Clean ROM installed and am pretty satisfied. I'll stick with the X1 until a truly kick-ass phone comes along:
My kick-ass phone:
1) "Zune HD phone"
2) iPhone responsiveness or better. I want absolutely no pauses and lags when I am operating the phone. This pisses me off most about WM. A faster CPU alone won't solve this!
3) Comprehensive speech-to-text (especially in SMS'ing and email)
4) INSTANT task switching when multi-tasking.
5) Hardware keyboard
6) Built-in comprehensive voice navigation so third-party developers can take advantage of it (not an add-on app like Voice Command).
7) Media download service ala iTunes (In other words, Zune integration)
8) Tegra, Snapdragon, nVidia or whatever CPU
9) Heavy-duty construction like X1 or original iPhone.
I probably won't buy another SE phone though. After the X1, it seems SE started going downhill and are showing no signs of improvement (X2 and X10 for example). I will probably get something HTC (an HD2 with keyboard that works with U.S. AT&T would be nice), unless Apple releases an iPhone with keyboard, multitasking and WVGA screen
X1 now but wait for X10 when is out....
I am waiting for a high end Android device with AT&T 3G support to come out. My X1 is so frustrating. My battery drains to about 40% then just dies like the battery is empty.
Its pretty obvious that people want X2 based ROMs, just look at how many more views Jerplea's ROM has even though his thread is much, much, much newer than many of the other HTC based ROMs. How come the cooks are moreso into following the HTC crowd?
The X2 rom it self, has WAYY to many bugs! and there are lots of incompatabilities to iron out!
also i believe that the x2 rom is only getting that many views as it is the only one, add all the HTC views together and compare it against the x2 rom
Bugs are likely one of the things holding people back but... the more people work on it at once, the faster the bugs get ironed out
Bugs is the first issue. The ugliness and usefulness are the 2nd and 3rd issues....
who needs x2 rom when u can do more with sense
Exactly!

Well said, I use NRGZ28's Energy Rom Energy.XPERIA.21899.Sense2.5.GTX.Themed.Apr.17 and think it is the best rom. No errors. Stunning performance (give it a min or 2 to load, then perfect and one more minute after the first text you send after turning on, after that, its brilliant.)
I updated to Cookie's home tab 1.7.1 with the editor, and customised the homescreen. its much faster, and I dont like the panel manager. The novelty of the panels wears off VERY quickly, as i find it slugish, and really quite pointless due to the number of (Better/more relevant?) sense tabs, and the lack of really informative xperia panels and speed of panels.
With Non X2 Roms, specifically Energy's (21899.Sense2.5.GTX Them .Apr.17 NOTE: I THINK APRIL 17 is the best by far.), I have a full feature set, Speed, Battery life which no other Rom apart from older 6.1 and old christians rom's gave me. P.S. Energy's Rom's look stunning!!!
I support X2 roms!! No matter how.. It's weird to have sense in my X1.. Because I'm more likely to stay in SE's style of roms since my phone is SE's X1.. X2 roms looked great and elegant for my phone.
I find slideview very useful. It's bad that it is laggy at this stage. I am hoping more clever people will work at this project and solve all the issues.
I support X2 based ROM!
Cheers!
You can say what you want but when I put my phone to my adaptor, the next day with a sense rom, my phone is freezing. No alarm. That's why I like X2. And titanium can be nice too.
but the x2 interface is buggy and slow too xD
YEah,
Anything new for the X2 is what i'm looking for! Especially Android!!

Lol! yeah, i know. I just wanted to bring out my weak voice on this thread too
By the way. Is there a way that i could compare the structure of the X1 filesystem against the X2? It came into my mind that maybe Hard SPL could work on the X2 too, evein if the hardware it's not made by HTC anymore...
