Can anyone confirm if the HTC Touch Pro or HTC Touch Diamond from sprint will work with the Diamond android port? I keep seeing comments about it only working with gsm... More specifically with gsm on sprint - sprint offers the cdma versions of these phones..
anyone.. can anyone tell me if they have been able to successfully use the cdma htc touch pro (from sprint).. I gotta do this soon and I'm gonna be bummed if i can't run android

HTC Hero phone.

IF I have the G1 data plan in the US with 3g will the 3G work on this hero?

It will work, but you won't get 3G, only EDGE & GPRS. A slightly resdesigned version of the Hero is going to be released by sprint soon, so get that if you want 3G speeds.

US 3g frequencies are not supported by the hero...
like the guy said, sprint is releasing their own version of the hero with ev-do speeds.
but sprint is cdma, not gsm, so you can't take your sim and make it work. You'll have to wait until HTC releases Hero on maBell and shuns tim, or wait for tattoo (i think it IS comming to tim). Or, just get a sapphire, it's the exact same hardare as the hero and you can fit all of the hero rom on it.

[Q] Rogers radio

I have a Rogers Raiders, s- off and upgraded to ics. To get it to ics I originally ran an at&t ruu. If I want to have the Rogers radio I would have to run the Rogers ics ruu and that would be it? (after locking bootloader and all that stuff) Wondering if any of the other Rogers people that took the plunge with s- off to get onto ics have tried the new Rogers ics ruu and if they find it makes a difference for reception.

After I unlocked mine I had no problems. I go back and forth on 3g sim cards from Bell to Rogers about two times a day (I'm tweaking things). You shouldn't have to unlock your phone to work on Rogers, but it wouldn't hurt.
Free unlock SIM code at http://www.sieempi.eu/blog/2011/09/22/universal-sim-unlock-for-s-offed-htc-devices-536
then follow these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681145&highlight=unlock
Give me a pm if you have any problems. (Also rogers now has the ICS update so if you are worried you can always go back to a rogers stock ICS)
My phone is a Rogers HTC Raider, when I got it s-off I changed CID and ran att ruu so I could upgrade to ICS. Now that Rogers has their ICS update I'm just curious if running the rogers ics ruu to get their radio would make a difference. I don't get horrible reception but it doe's change alot staying in one spot so curious if the rogers radio would give me better reception.
yah I'm in Nova Scotia so I get horrible reception anytime I'm next to a mountain or in a valley between two hills.
Ran the Rogers ICS ruu and it doesn't seem to be a drastic difference. Signal does seem a bit more stable, stays on LTE a bit better than it did before, not dropping down to edge as much either. Still seems like it was worthwhile to do.

Will the WIND Mobile HTC one work with Bell/Rogers/Telus LTE?

First: My understanding is the htc one for tmobile is the same as the wind mobile htc one. Anyways, my question:
Im thinking about getting the htc one for tmobile/wind instead of the rogers/bell/telus version. I want the tmobile/wind verison because the virgin version isnt pentaband like tmobiles/winds. My question though is does anyone know if virgin/bell lte will work on a wind/tmobile htc one?
