Hello.
Iam not really a professional man in this think so i hope you can answer my question!
I am searching for a WM6.5 ROM for Austria.
I have Mobilkom A1 (now the MOBKOM_A1_AT_R3AA01 is on my Xperia)
Can i flash it with generic (AT) or something or must it be an mobkom_A1 ROM for my Xperia????
I am afraid to flash it it with generic or something like that because iam afraid that i can´t go in the internet, watch TV, sending E-mail after the flash..
So i need YOUR help!
Thanks a lot.
Mike
Just flash one of those nice german wm6.5 roms by mmkwiatkowski, x1owner or chalid. The automatic internet connection setup should work in Austria as well.
You can also flash the generic stock (AT) rom to your phone, just read the stickies about flashing and unlocking. Although, there is no (and most probably won't be) a stock wm6.5 rom for the xperia.
Hope that helped a bit.
Cheers!

I am on orange so would be happy with a orange rom.
Only question does it come like my m5000 with all the langauges i.e english and qwerty keyboard.
I'm also interested in M3000 rom, but in french (swiss version with qwertz keyboard). Due to wifi problem, I installed kjam rom that work fine. But I would like to be able to come back to french to do some test and comparison. If anyone can post a dump of the rom, it would be nice.

Same for me. A lot of troubles with wifi using Orange rom. Unfortunately, it's the only one having a qwertz keyboard. That's why I wanted to go back to it and try to find a way to get the necessary DLL out of the rom.
I tried dumping the DLL from another M3000 (using testwm5 in an orange shop ), but the DLL seems to be corrupt. It has not the same size once extracted and it doesn't work. If I try to use it, keyboard doesn't work at all. It's quite strange, as most files are fine (sounds, html pages, etc...). And I can browse the resource in the DLL.
Hi All,
i am new here, i made a mistake and bought a Dopod Touch diamond in China (HTC Touch Diamond) but i am not able to read or write in chinese, is there any possibility to flash the rom to have english SW, where i can get the rom soft, but i would still need the chinese language support for the english chinese dictionare which is already installed
I know these are a lot of questions,
Thank's a lot for helping
Rostei
Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
As for Chinese support, I find CE-Star really good.
In short, try to install HardSPL. That way you can flash your ROM with minimal chance to turn it to a brick or flashing halt in midway.
Then, you go to Diamond ROM section and look for a good ROM to flash (either a "cooked" (modified) ROM from our fellow diamondier or an official ROM from HTC. All are available from the forum). Since the diamond is new to you, you don't quite need to backup anything. Scary at the first try but you will be hooked onto it and keep flashing different ROMs once you get the hang of it.
Greetings!
There may be similar question, but please accept my apology as I am new member of this forum.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia mobile phone(PDA) where by its operating system is in Germany (Dutch). Should i flash it or is there any means to change the language to English?
Thank You

Germany (Dutch)???!??!! (thought it was Netherlands (Dutch) and Germany (German))
Most custom cooked ROMs are in WWE (World Wide English), so if you flash them you'll get the English language on your phone. There isn't a setting where you can change the language from German to English for example. But you can also download and flash an official English ROM for X1 (find latest in sticky by PavelX1).
If you want a cooked ROM in Dutch or German or any other language you'll have to search cause there aren't many floating around.
REMEMBER READ THE STICKIES BEFORE STARTING TO FLASH / HARDSPL!!!

Lol, thought the same Was wondering if they could understand me in germany when speaking dutch
definetly u should try... otherwise wheter u ain't happy enough... come back to stock ROM
Don't be shy, c'mon !!
Flash a STOCK (Sony official) WWEnglish ROM or a cooked one
Your choice
We are all here to help each other
Have fun !!
Yes, just take a look around here and read a bit and choose your favorite rom and flash it!!!!
Well, it much depends on you: are you ok with you stock, standard phone? do ypu use your X1 just to make/receive calls?
If yes, so probably you are ok with the stock ROM (however... why do you bought a PDA to only receive calls?!)
Otherwise yes, you definitely should try as many ROMs as you can. It is like a suit: you can buy the stock, standard one or get one that really fit you perfectly (that is, a cooked ROM!).
flash...flash....flash
1 flash.......and you want nothing else!

should make that you want even more heh
i could not wait for the next version of the rom im currently using; and have yet to be disappointed. unlike the stock rom, which was utterly laggy.
with custom roms, they a lot more optimized but with a very small sacrifice of losing some features which can be negliged or replaced depending on the rom your flashing.
just be careful and follow each step precisely and you wont hit any brick walls.
read the instructions a couple of time before you attempt to flash it. make sure you hard-spl first :d
if you decide to flash it, which i definitely suggest, then be aware of some incompatibility issue between some roms and certain cabs (due to existing file or clashing of those installed files).
installing such prog can slow down the performance overall; but of course, these cabs/progs can easily be uninstalled
please do ask us questions if you need help and advise :d
DO IT !
I was just like you today....I was not sure if I should flash my Windows Mobile 6.1 to a custom 6.5 Rom with TouchFLO 3D. (manila)
I just said to my self...DO IT NOW !
so I did...
Turns out the phone is sooo much faster and better to use ! its so worth it man,

Is there a problem with the keyboard if you flash from for example a Swedish ROM to a WWE. Will I still be able to use the Swedish letters or is there a fix I need to apply? I want to try a ROM with WM 6.5.......

Very true
On another note, for the OP:
German = Deutsch.
Dutch = Nederlands
The languages seem kind of similar, but one telling detail about Dutch is that it looks like they just randomly double every other vowel in a word.
Hi guys and rom developers,
Since monday the 15th of june I'm a proud owner of a HTC TP2 smartphone.
This smartphone comes with the dutch version of windows mobile 6.1 professional and it is already sim unlocked (all HTC phones are sim unlocked).
I want to dump the rom+spl+p anything else to help the community to produce a Hard-SPL, cooked roms etc.
I admire the work that Pof has been doing during these years for the xda community and I want to help a bit. I know quite a lot of dumping, flashing, unlocking etc (just by reading the posts and tutorials on xda-dev).
I want to know how many members (including Pof) are interested in rom dump of a HTC TP2 Dutch.
Let me know by posting in the thread or by PM.
ROM dumps are always welcome!
other members with a branded device may want the dump when hardspl is launched....
and chefs might want a dump to look at the OEM goodies inside to incorperate in there next (NL) cooked ROM...
so just dump it!!
Dutch member here too Also interesting in an lite and speedy Dutch (NL) rom
Haha - me too - welcome!
HTC TP2 and MDA Vario V Dump

A good friend of mine has bought the T-mobile MDA Vario V (Rebranded TP2).
I will offer the community tomorrow a rom dump of a dutch HTC TP2 and a dutch T-mobile MDA Vario V.
I hope that by comparing the two dumps, that Olipro/Pof can make a sim unlocker and a Hard-SPL.
Stay tuned!
Me tooooooooo!!!! So bring it on!!!!
another one here
Got it!
I have managed to dump the complete rom of the HTC TP2 and the MDA Vario V.
I will be posting tonight the download link + storage area mpa
Stay tuned.
ROM Dump for TP2 and MDA Vario V
As promised
I have extracted the rom from both TP2 and MDA Vario V (T-mobile rebranded TP2).
Both roms are in Dutch, so no WWE.
I have attached also both hardware information and storage map of both devices.
These are the downloadlinks for the roms:
- HTC Touch Pro2 Dutch: http://ecoluxurymarket.com/tp2dutch.rar
- MDA Vario V: http://ecoluxurymarket.com/variov.rar
I have only managed to extract the rom as .raw files. If somebody can convert them to .nbh that would be great.
Let's beging hacking this awesome device
TP2 WWE
I will be happy to dump the rom and post it if you show me how.So I can contribute.

I have installed a clean Opera but after a restart it still does the Web 'n Walk part. Therefor I cant wait till one of you guys found a way to dump the rom onto a Vario5.

Ik ben ook Nederlander.
I'm also a dutch-man, I ordered my TP2 at the t-mobile shop. Can't wait to receive it. Also I like to have a fast custom dutch rom with many tools (video players, WMWIFIrouter etc)
Hi @all,

It has many ROMs, but if you do not find it there I think you may find it difficult to restore back to original.. You may need to ask someone to dump their ROM if they have the one you are looking for.
Nevermind, I think I found the ROM you are looking for.

This is a NLD ROM, so try downloading and flashing that.
I found these links in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=444170
Do you think this ROM should be ok? Branded ROMs have some roms like other non branded? Just have CID lock?
If you have HardSPL installed then CID is no problem when flashing ROMs.
I think the ROM i have shown you is unbranded HTC Netherlands ROM, so I don't think it may be useful for you if you want the branding. I cannot find the branded ROM either on the internet.
You can either:
- Wait until someone who has the ROM dump it for you
- Try to sort out your problem here (if its software related), without using warrentee
- Take the PDA to a thirdparty to fix it so warrentee/other ROMs aren't an issue
- Flash the ROM I have provided and restore SPL to original, then send in for repair and hope HTC don't say anything (which I think they shouldn't, but cannot guarentee this)
ok then, i think i will wait like 1 week - maybe someone with orginal branded ROM will make Copy of his ROM and sen me - hope so. If no - then i will put your ROM in it and pray that service wont say anyting.
So any guys from NDL here?
bump. looks like i got problem xD
hi i'm from belgium
i did the same as you did
there is no need to change the rom back to the original
i had mine running wm6.5 and it came back with the original rom
so that means they flashed it again
they didn't say about anything and also didn't charge me so....

This isn't always the case. HTC have been known to void warranties due to cooked roms on device.
