Registry edit to disable slide to switch inboxes possible? (SMS, outlook, etc) - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't really use my phone for email, I really only use SMS. So when I'm in my SMS inbox, if I slide my finger to the left or right then it will switch over to Outlook inbox. This can get very annoying, especially when I'm trying to touch to select one of my messages because it will sometimes accidentally slide to Outlook instead. Is there any possible way (registry edit?) to disable this sliding to switch inboxes thing?

Outlook Problem - opens e-mails initially displaying the middle of the message

Hello all,
Normally when I open an e-mail in Outlook on my Tilt (WM6), the beginning of the message is initially displayed and I can scroll down to see the rest of the message. I installed KaiserTweaks on my Tilt last night and tweaked to the recommended settings. Now when I open e-mails in Outlook, the font looks different (I can't find how the KaiserTweaks would have changed my Outlook font) and Outlook now opens e-mails initially displaying the middle of the message and I now need to scroll up to see the beginning of the message.
Does anyone know which particular tweak may have caused this? I looked through the explanation of all the tweaks and I can't seem to find it. It is quite annoying to now have to "scroll up" on every single outlook e-mail I open just to see the start of the messages.
Thanks!

I'm having the exact same problem as well, any fixes?
Install and run KaiserTweak. Scroll down to PocketIE >> D-Pad Scroll Navigation and switch from Enabled to Disabled. Soft reset.
Awesome!

Possible to delete Outlook email directly from TF3D?

Is there away to delete emails without having to go into the account, and delete the message from there?
I can see the message is junk mail and would really rather just have a quick delete button!
also, is there a way to turn off Delete confirmation on SMS messages?
To delete a mail you have to open it and then Menu \ Delete. I'm agree with you than a direct option to delete it was very good
I would also like to be able to mark them as read... the same way it happens with text messages
Totally agree! I would like to see one of the soft-keys have a 'delete' function...

problem with touchflo and contacts

I really like the diamond (Ignito) but using it to dial people (in touchflo) or contacts (via Windows) is a nightmare. far too often I end up dialling someone when I'm trying to scroll using the touch screen. And the basic Windows contact manager is all too small scale to use without a stylus.
Has anyone got any advice or better still an alternative app that will let me use the touch screen and a big list in a reliable way. My daughter's Samsung Tocco is just a dream to use in comparison.
Thanks
Mike
You can use Resco Contact Manager. The beta is free and usable with touch function. Try it! You can enable/disable Resco Contact manager to handle calls, contacts, etc in settings
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/contactmanager/default.asp
The Screenshot is on the website as well.
Thanks Satus - will try that now
Mike
personally i never use the contacts tab to dial out. I just press the phone key then use the dialer keypad to start typing the first letters of the person im trying to dial then hit call. much faster than trying to scroll and no need for the stylus..
tried Resco contacts last night and I love it. Scrolling seems somehow much less sensitive and even if you do make an accidental press, all it does is pop-up the contact with 4 big buttons for dial, sms, email, and something else. If you hit the big back arrow in the corner it takes you back to your scroll list at the point you were previously
Thanks again Satus

Different SMS applications on TD2 ?

When I open an SMS by touching the message on TF3D it opens another dialog than from the SMS inbox. I prefer the thread dialog from SMS inbox. Is there a possibility to tweak TF3D to uses this application?
Your question is a bit unclear. On my Topaz the threaded inbox is being used by default when thicking a message from the TF3D inbox.
Yes, you are right but try the following
- from TF3D open the SMS inbox (you will see the list of all recieved SMS)
- click on an SMS
Also a thread presentation will be shown but different from the one out of TF3D.
I assume from inbox it uses the WM email application. For example now you can use the pre-prepared short texts as within the email function.
Is it understandable what I mean?
the 1 from the TF3D sucks. lets say you're text'ing & accidentally close the SMS, your SMS wont be saved automatically in the draft folder.
Personally, I ditched the TF3D after a week of having it. it looks nice, but quite redundant for what I need.

Unable to call contacts

I am unable to call any contacts from the touch flo 3d contacts page.
Nothing happens when I tap on any of the phone numbers for a contact.
I can send a text or email from the contacts page.
If I tap on the more option I can make a call from the screen that then appears by pressing the left soft menu key.
Anyone know how to get the functionality back?
is adding a contact picture allow you to make a call?
if so this is a known issue for certain late rom.

No adding a picture to the contact does not allow me to make a call.
Does not make any difference if the contact has a photo or not. Or if I try to dial from the favourites contact page or the all contacts page.
The rom is the standard htc one (v 3.43.25.19) that came with the phone only had the phone a week and a half.
Found out what was causing the problem.
Pocket Shield has an option to use the WM dialer when using the slide to answer functionality.
It claims that the slide to answer is more responsive when using the WM dialer and recommends using it.
Once I unticked this option the ability to dial from the contacts returned.
