There must be a good £2-300 worth of software on here.
Screen has been protected from the first minute I had it and is perfect, I would describe the body as good condition with only one little 2mm sized mark. Comes boxed with all the standard accessories (case, pen, VGA cable, charger, USB cable, manual etc) and also the extended 4 in 1 cable from Expansys which gives you amongst other things S-Video and USB host connectivity which is really useful.
So how much...just £375 ono, happy to meet for cash if you're near Sutton or anywhere off the M23 or I will post if required. Please email [email protected][no spam]cuckoo.mobi (removing the [no spam] obviously) or post below.
Thanks, Paul
Have you considered getting an LG Style-i headset?
(Hard numbers, speaker for calls).
Also if you need to dial numbers a lot, MS Voice Command UK version works VERY well.

Assuming, in most of these cases, that they want your name as the owner ID
Is the Ameo unlocked for any network? I live in Florida but travel frequently overseas so need it to work all over. If so, I'd be interested in purchasing it if it's not sold as yet.
I got my X7500 today but I most likely will be selling it...nice device but I don't think I will get used to it.

I am not sure what you mean by ''retails for around'', retail is a set price, and were talking no contract unlocked price
The retail price currently is $1184 + sales tax (and shipping).
Sorry only LOCAL (no international) customers.

actually the retail price is about $1000 (with no contract and with tax already and unlock). So I am afraid you are selling a bit high.

Again the fact that you states ''about'' indicates that you're not talking about a ''real'' retail price but some auctioned or otherwise undefined price, I'm talking about retail price. For a local person its a $300+ savings, however you put it.
Well not talking about prices in the UK, nor talking about Dopod or Tmo Ameo prices. Talking about HTC prices in USD, in USA with sales tax (aka VAT) as you might or might not know sales tax is never included in advertised prices in the USA.
Again though since you're not local as the ad says this wouldn't be of concern or interest to you
There's been plenty of locals understanding that this price is a very good price and have already contacted me

sorry for butting in again,
the 1025 $ i qouted were mentioned somewhere here...as the price madmonkeyboy was selling them for (he is supposed to match the best offer you can find)..
the other thing is i didn't know that htc is selling 7500 in the us...weren't they supposed to bring out the 7501
as for not being a local...that is true....but i was planing to come to SF around the end of this month (in NY at the moment)
Just wondering...
Picked up a new V1615 (Vodafone Kaiser) from a Vodafone store just now because that's all they could offer me.
I really, really want an Mwg Atom V (details) or Atom Life which has some amazing specs (details) instead though.
So I want to sell the Vodafone brand new boxed and unopened, SIM free and unlocked.
What kind of price can I expect for it?
Thanks
Its worth as much as a standard Kaiser probably, and a bit more than an AT&T Tilt. But the main place for selling phones is eBay; so prices vary widely. You can probably get upwards of $650 for it.
You do know that in some respects the Kaiser beats the pants off that Atom thingy? For one thing, it has a keyboard. It also has GPS and a 3.1MP camera instead of a 2.0MP. There is also a much larger ROM community for the HTC phones than for the Atom.

Hmmm...I agree with some of what you say about the Atoms now after doing some more research.
One thing that's struck me is the customer service feedback about the Atom's manufacturers. Very few have anything nice to say about the service they received if something went wrong with their device. I'd be in fear of ever needing them.
The main things that have attracted me to the Atom phones so far is the use of Intel Xscale chips, better video support and the use of Sirfstar III chipsets for GPS. I don't need a high spec camera so I'm not bothered by the lack of high pixel capture.
In my experience of using old HTC devices (Universal, Magician) and some new ones (Trinity / P3600 and Kaiser), the older ones seemed faster for some reason. I don't know for sure but the Intel architecture seems better than the Qualcomm.
Also, the Sirfstar III GPS hardware wipes the floor with Qualcomm's equivalents in my experience and doesn't need QuickGPS to get a very fast lock in a built up city like London where I live.
Why did HTC start using these dodgy Qualcomm chips?
I'm still undecided...I just hate waiting with computers / PDAs etc...They should just work, and work fast. Maybe I'm asking for too much.
Anymore opinions?
You in the UK? Is the V1615 on contract?
Not impressed by those Atoms...

That's all they could offer? You have got to be kidding, there isnt a better phone on voda, and you must pay silly amounts monthly to get that offered to you.
also, note, the vodafone one is unlocked from factory.
Though i did manage to pick one up for £20 a month on my contract for an upgrade, free! but i have a hell of a business head when it comes to negotiating!

I meant that's all they could offer me in terms of high spec PDAs and I wasn't interested in Blackberrys.
I pay about £45 a month on my contract, but it is an 18 month one. Not bad, but then I've been with Voda for almost 10 years now.
Anyway....I've seen them go on ebay for around £350. Tempted to sell...Still not sure...Still haven't opened the box.
So noone really recommends the Mwgs? If that's the case then I don't really have any other options and I'll just use the Kaiser.
Maybe one day someone will find out how to enable all the great hardware inside the case

No it's not - it's 100% your property, and your problem. That's not conditional on anything. The contract debt is separate - you owe them the value of that regardless of what you do with the phone. Sell it, keep it, give it back to them, you still owe the contract sum whatever you do.

I have had this phone for about 2 days now. Absolutely LOVE the phone. Too bad the speaker sucks and the mic mediocre, compared to my BlackBerry 8320. I cannot find a way to boost audio. After some research, I found that this is how the HTC Diamond comes from factory, and this is the standard for Pocket PC Windows Mobile. Unacceptable by me.
So here I am. Selling my beloved Diamond after 2 days. Oh well. I thought switching from BlackBerry after 7 years of loyalty would be awesome, but not at all.
I am in Houston, TX
Bought if from Plemix.com for $677 with a discount code.
I'll sell it for $677 to cover my cost. I'll include free FedEx ground shipping.
I'll leave the Garmin Mobile XT GPS software (sooo cooool) that I put on this phone yesterday.
Any takers?

I might be -- live in PA -- but I'm concerned about whether I'll have any reception here -- how has your GSM and UMTS been in TX?
I have to agree with that PayPal statement as well.
PayPal is the devil himself (or herself. More likely to be herself).
And as far as reception in TX goes, I have perfect reception in Houston. No luck on UMTS because TMO doesn't support 3G anywhere except NYC for now. It does have a 1700MHz option, which is quite amazing, but ofcourse, doesn't mean anything in TX.

Please help. I am torn between getting the Apple Iphone and the HTC Touch Diamond 2. I think i'm set on the diamond 2 but I've read about a lot of niggly problems with it which is preventing me from making the step. For example, the mp3 player.
Is it really that good?
Any advice is hugely appreciated!
MP3 player? well let me tell you one thing, i had 2 ipods one for the office and one for home.
NOW I am afraid that they have become obsolete to me, since i got my 32GB memory card. TD2 will do it! but bear in mind that you will be putting some pressure on your battery if you are using the device for the gps, phone and mp3.
Anyway i bought myslef xpal xp2000 just in case i run out of power.
Anyway getting back to your question, there is nothing wrong withthe mp3 and if you are not happy with the default player, you can instal many free 3rd party's software, like oxygen or S2P...
WITH THE DIAMOND2,THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!!
I RECOMMEND IT
I HAVE HAD THESE PHONES FOR YEARS SINCE THE FIRST XDA GENERATION
i was torn like you before, cause i like apple so much, but who make my mind to have my diamond 2 that i found IPhone every time they will release an OS version you need to wait for the jalibreak to run your application from Cydia etc,,,,,,. which will make me unable to test and play with my phone as i would like. So i Decided to get my Diamond 2 and i am happy with it.
It was the freedom to install what you like on the phone that tempted me...and that it will get Windows Mobile 6.5 later in the year to iron out any niggles you mioght find. I'd also say that although people seem to hate them, the option to use a stylus every now and again does come in handy - you can type far faster with the stylus than the iphone touch keyboard, and you can write or draw notes in something like EverNote (very cool app).
One other point that few people seem to mention...the TD2 is much much (much!) cheaper than the iphone. I got mine through mobiles.co.uk for free at £30 a month for more texts and minutes than I'll ever need plus mobile internet. AND £40 cashback that pays for a nice big SD card to store your music! No brainer if you ask me...

It was the "Orange Dolphin 40" - afraid you'll need the 24 month contract to get the mobile browsing. If you click on the TD2 from the mobiles.co.uk home page, then select the orange tab it should be listed as including 500mb data - that's your mobile browsing. Not exactly "unlimited" but it is the same in practice as o2's mobile browsing deal and more than enough for me as I use the wi-fi at home and work anyway.

Cheque arrived yesterday! That's with me placing the order originally on 14 May. They actually wait 14 days after you receive the phone (you can send it back in that period if you're not happy) then it's supposed to be another 14 to 28 days after that. Were pretty prompt with me though.
Of course if you're happy to wait longer, you get a much better deal with the 9 months half price offer - they send a cheque every 3 months I think.

Good choice, and hope you have fun with the phone. I should be charging them commission though...
I realise you already ordered yours, but for others considering the TD2, I am looking at http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/Brands/HTC/b509/n447/p10957.aspx
mobile phones Direct
The contract I'm looking at is the T-Mobile Combi 30 +Web n Walk,
This gives 300mins, 200 Texts + the standard Web n Walk web allowance.
For: £35 a month, with the phone costing £33.
(I know it doesn't mention web on the 'Text & Web' bit, but I emailed them and the confirmed it does include it)
Seems a good deal, I've just got to persuade myself now!

hey dude, friend fo mine got it for me of HONG KONG...it is called SDTECHS...will try to get you some info
I read somewhere on this forum that the TD2 only recognises 16gb memory cards. Does yours recognise the full 32gb of your card?
Does anyone know a good site to sell my used laptop?
Not crazy about ebay because i've already canceled one ad on my account, if i cancel another i might get charged a penalty (if i end up selling it somewhere else while in the mean time... i want to sell it fast)
Not crazy about craigslist because the laptop has signs of cosmetic wear especially on the lid (does not impact performance purely cosmetic) but in the eyes of a non tech savy buyer that = worth much less.
Best buy trade in is a joke they offered me like $100 for my gs3 which i sold on swappa for $270.
All the hundreds of sites that give instant quotes seems a little sketchy because theres a bunch of identical sites, all of them ask for little to no info for the quote, they say send us the laptop THEN you get paid. Also the quotes are pretty low.
And sites like gazelle don't have a category for regular laptops.. only macbooks and iphones.
It's a hp dm4 1060 with a core i5, 4gb ram, 500HDD, 13" screen. Paid $650 for it 3 years ago i really want to get $300-350 for it at least, its worth a hell of alot more than that. Anyone have any advice?
