Hi I was wondering if there is any program or CAB out there that can make my phone keyboard input into 3 letters in one tab? like normal phones abc def ghi jkl mno pqrs tuv wxyz? cus my d2 is traditional chinese version so the keyboard for english input is just every single letter by itself and that makes it hard for me to txt~

um no~ the traditional chinese rom only comes with touch input that has chinese and full qwerty , sadly no phonepad=(

as far as i know theres no t9 in qwerty keyboards except for word suggestions after you type a letter but you can activate that going into the menu good luck
That´s very easy. There are lots of freeware solutions!!! just search in this forum or:

After installing one or both, go to Settings/Input, chose the keyboard and change in options the language!

i just got my HTC diamond, using it in french !
I need to send sms in CYRILLIC as i did with my Sony w880i (just choosing the language while writing sms)
Is it possible to activate a russian keyboard in sms menu, and also to add a cyrillic alphabet in word for example !?
I'm looking for it on the forum, but i didn't find yet any topic about this specific request...

Sms in Russian
I tried to install in my HTC Touch Diamond several different keybord in order to be able to write sms in russian/cyrillic. All of them are perfectly working, with outocomplete words,....
But my problem is that when I send the sms to another mobile, my text cannot be recognised: all the letters will become "?". Is this because my Diamond is in Italian and can't recognize cyrillic caracters?
Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I need to write Sms in Russian.

I'm trying to instal russian keyboard. I downloaded rus2tp.cab drag the file into memory and hit instal. What do i do next? I still can only see english keyboard

I have got the chinese diamond recently, but there is not a "proper"qwerty keyboard available. It only has a T9 qwerty and it is a right pain in ass when you want to write shorthand or slang!!! Has anyone got the normal keyboard for me to download into the little dime to make my life easier?

i just turn T9 off...
i know that is the simpliest way, but it still leaves me with a problem where the input of the i have to press 1-3 times to get the correct letter - like the "phone keyboard" or the "compact qwerty" keyboard.
It is 1 button shared with 3 letters. I need a keyboard where it is 1 button to 1 letter. Sorry...
You can download the normal QWERTY keyboard for your chinese diamond in HK's HTC-eclub. Just visit HTC website and you could get it.

I just dloaded openwnn, but there is another one too I'd like to test...
And switch to Jpn keyboard is even faster than iPhone since on Appele you got to cicle through all the enabled keybs, here you just long press a key and voilà!

I'm also using openwnn for japanese input. looks pretty good.
once i'll get used to type on a screen
however, what is bothering me, is the qwerty layout.
is there anyway to switch the z and y keys?

You mean T9 like when a key has 3 letters on it? Or just an autocomplete of the words.
Because the autocomplete is the MAJOR problem I have when using WWE ROMs. I lose all the ability to have the words corrected and auto completed because the keyboards only shows words in English as an option.
One of the best keyboards I found is Fingerkeyboard2, but is does not supports T9. Only Windows Mobile word suggestions. I've seen samsung Omnia keyboards (that have a layout with 2 letters on the same key) but I don't know the names of those keyboards.
