Hello all,
I've thrown together an app-pack that includes apps that i see are necessary and important to have on my phone. I was getting very frustrated with constantly having to reinstall my apps after flashing a new rom on. So i decided to create a batch file that will allow you to install back all your apps very easily.
I know there are things such as ADB file explorer, but i think that this is a much simpler way of doing it. Its also very easy for me to add apps that you guys feel needs to be included.
Let me know what you guys think.
App list
1. Root booter
2. Set cpu
3. Move cache for root users
4. Swapper
5. WiFi teather
6. Google places
7. Tmo visual voicemail
8. Shop savvy
9. Shazamm
10. Movies
11. Free dictionary
12. Ad free
13. App Manager
14. Taskiller
15. aTrackdog
16. Biz Card Reader
17. Keep Screen Lite
18. Pure Calander Lite
Change log:
v1.1
-added ability to remove apps that you don't want installed on the phone
v1.2
-corrected app pack to follow xda rules
v1.3
-added 3 new apps
v1.4
-added bizcardreader, keep screen lite and pure calander lite
-replaced apps with new updated versions from market

How to install APP PACK???
I am a noobie... how would I go about adding this app pack to my mytouch?
You extract the folder to c:\android and then run the .bat file.
This is done via ADB. It is not something you put on your phone and run. It is run through windows

i do think most of the listed apps have common appeal ... which is why i boiled it down to those listed above. ok, a few listed above might not appeal to everybody but thats why you permitted an option to deselect apps users dont want, right?
Can you telkl me what is the exact command i ll have to run using adb?? I have adb setup and used it to install apk files, copied to and from using adb push and pull options. But how would i run a bat file using adb. Exact command will be helpful thanks
I think you should add
Astro File Manager
Android face Book App
Twidgit Lite (Or another twitter app)
Google Voice will be nice too
Weather widget
This will make things so much easier, not going through the market to reinstall all the apps

If you send me the .apks ill add them to the app pack. Its a big hassle to goto market to dload them just to get the .apk. and all you have to do is extract the XDA APP-PACK folder to c:\android (you should have adb stuff in there if you followed the directions for running adb) and then just double click the batch file. it will do the rest.

what would be of IMMENSE help to a lot of users is a 'how to' document with the pack
you will have some eternally grateful people around you
What do you mean a "how-to"? There is a read me file inside of the zip that says where you need to extract the folder too. Other then that its self explanatory.

but thats the point!
it's self explanatory to advanced users like you, not to the noobs like me
what im talking abt is a 'step 1 download the SDK / step 2 extract it to C:\' kinda thing
if you can just send this info to me and i can put it into a word document and send it back to you with text formatting and stuff so we can stick it into the .zip alongwith the files in there

This is all based around the fact that you should have adb installed and running on your computer. If you dont, search the forums to find out how to do it.
Just curious...
If I install these apps this way, will they be listed under 'my downloads' in the market section, so I can see if they have been updated?

I am having issues w/ my gallery. It would appear that every time I connect my phone to the computer my photos that were transfered to the ex sd multiply. Ex. I have a folder of .png's it originally had 123 items in the folder I named icons. that folder is now up to 3000+. another folder "wallpaper" started w/ 16 and now is over 80. The only folders that haven't duplicated (within the folder) are folders created from within the phone. Ex photos taken w/ the phone. Have had 40+ for a while, never increases.

Sgstools used to be an app avalable in the market but the person who used to maintain it quit because it was too hard to maintain for free. it is really useful and is included on a lot of custom roms most people new to flashing don't see its usefulness until they actually need it. Now there is a thread for out now in the themes and apps section. Use the script for cleaning up "thumb nails". That is what you have too many of. Opening some apps causes the media scanner to create an xtra thumb nail if this happens to much you get thumb nails for thumb nails and then you got 3000. The script should clean it all up. Should work on any rom. There is also options to swap out your gallery with a modded one that doesn't make your sensors go wild and eat your battery. You can use it to swap your e mail apk for the one in the galaxy tab I don't need it but some do. There is a secret code dialer that will take you straight to lbs testmode useful if your constantly tweaking gps settings. The list goes on. Get it, it's what you need. I

Dear, I have the rom imilkas and just solve the issue of the sensitivity of s-pen. Now I need urgent application smemo / smemo lite, which is the one that you can draw and take notes.
It is vital for me to use the pen as it is part of my job. Could help me and tell me how to install these two applications that do not come by default in this rom. Thank you very much.

You won't get any sammy app running on ASOP builds. All s-apps are related to the samsung-touchwiz framework.
I recently flashed the preview of the stock JellyBean for our device on my phone. Thanks to all those who made it happen. Of course it came with some bugs and there were various bugfixes. Flashed them and followed all guidelines, everything but one works -- S NOTE!
I have SNote_Q1.apk and
QuickSnote_Q1.apk in /data/app
SMemo_Q1.apk
SMemoProvider_Q1.apk
SNoteQ1_Provider.apk in /system/app
as the forums and threads I've read instructed us to do.
But S Note still doesn't seem to work. It always force closes when I initialize it. The pop up note works though.
A thread said you should first start it from the widget before the it will work but I do not have the widget. Any help please? Pls be kind. Thanks!

How to make Snote run in RR JB.
-Install RR JB and let it boot once
-Delete Snote in your beloved ROM
-Extract Snote from RR JB rom. Locate at /data/app (~76MB)
-Put into USB storage
-Install it
-It is WORKS now!!!
Only tested on RR JB. Should work on other JB rom too

Here you can download and try to replace snote files.
With a file manager like solid browser or root explorer just replace all files
Then wipe cache and dalvik, reboot and let's see if it work

Instead, I would like to submit you a little survey in order to guide you through an easier way of being a better development forum user.
You just need to provide the question number and answer choice like:
1 a
2 b
3 c
(please, do not cheat the above values as it will be worthless)
1) Which Operational System does your Samsung device contains?
....a) Android
....b) iOS
....c) Windows Phone
....d) Microwave oven
If the answer for the above question was (a), please continue.
2) Which version of Android are you running?
....a) Jellybean 4.2.2
....b) Jellyfish 8.1
....c) Gummy Bear 232.3333333333
....d) Lollipop 5.1.1
3) Your Android is:
....a) Rooted
....b) Planted
....c) Grounded
....d) Seeded
4) If the above answer was NOT (a), did you have installed:
....a) PDP (Package Disabler Pro)
....b) UPS
....c) DHL
....d) TNT
5) After downloading and installing AllBacksBlack, you:
....a) Went to lunch
....b) Took a nap
....c) Moved the json file accordingly instructions and rebooted the device
....d) Looked for Greg
Thank you for your time
Nice regards.

Thank you. Finally the answer is here.
If I were talking to a more kind person, I could even suggest the use of this as an alternative for the Disabler. But its a garbage theme and isn't worth it ... right?

Seems you keep not reading. 1 theme? Really? You have my profile at your disposal. Ask Greg to help you with the "reading thingy".
Child? I wish it with all my heart. But, unfortunately I've already made my life big enough to give you even a damn.
No regards indeed.

Amazing theme
Thanks for sharing

I have g928c with the 6.0.1 f bootloader
Rooted su6.28
Latest Audax
SH 2.6
Xposed
I'm trying to figure out how to make the theme stick (understanding it won't survive a reboot), without switching back to default after the 3 minute trial.
I'm unclear on when to move the json file, but I've tried all possibilities.
Steps:
Install apk with package installer
Apply theme package thru theme store
Move json file
Reboot
[Still goes back to default theme]
[Theme is visible in store without "trial" but can't select it]
Also tried:
Install apk with package installer
Move json file
Reboot
Apply theme thru theme store
[Theme is visible in store without "trial" but can't select it]
And I've tried both of the above without rebooting and got similar results.
I've also left the json file as is, installed the trial, tried to purchase but get the error that it's not available for purchase.
....I'm no noob, but i haven't themed much before, beyond flashing bobcats lp themed ROMs...What am I missing (that everybody else probably finds obvious)?

Hi RuggedHunter
Thanks for (at least) trying
I can not verify if Xposed is influencing or not but I suggest the following ...
a) Install APK
b) Don't move a finger until you receive a toast saying "Installation Completed"
c) Cut json from trialjson and paste it to userjson
d) Boot (just a Hot Rebbot)
e) Apply the theme
f) Be xtremely happy
Please let me know if it worked.
We shall make it happen !!!
Nice regards.

Thank you very much for the speedy reply! No joy yet...I'm always left with the theme visible in My Themes with no "trial" badge but I'm unable to select it.
Steps:
I deleted the theme first and started completely from scratch, following your steps above, exactly.
I also tried disabling all xposed modules from within the installer. Reboot. Then follow your steps. Same result.
I also tried disabling xposed framework altogether via flashing the uninstaller zip in recovery. Wipe cache/dalvik. Then followed your steps. Also same result....nothing happens when trying to select the theme in the theme store.

Hi RuggedHunter
Sorry ... it was my mistake. I'm still ridding a (S7 - 2) device and it doesn't presents the same detail you are having and, as so, I've forgotten to mention ...
As Milady @YukiChan456 and Master @sanoc69 pointed me out, do between steps b) and c)
b.2) Delete folder /data/overlay/preferences
I do apologise for the inconvenience.
Nice regards.

If you're rooted, this seems fantastic. If you are, quickswitch and lawnchair make OnePlus launcher totally unnecessary now that everything is nice and stable.
I'll give this a go and report back for science!
Edit: doesn't work, just keeps force closing.

I understand, but for me that's so interesting to root the phone.
That's why I do this
Ok thanks for feedback.
Could you check the permission and see if you're allowed all permission.
Like superposition ?

I add a new feature, see the main post for the new option and app.
Enjoy:victory:
New version see the main post
I have a problem... My command prompt said ''adb: inaccessible or not found'' when I run a command. Actually, I can not find com.feedone.launcherlite in my data folder at all. Phone is not rooted. Do you how to solve such an issue?

Hi! Yes,but it's not a problem about it.I came to the last step of the instruction from the link which you provided, but like my phone does not have com.feedoneplus.launcherlite folder at all in Android/Data path,i.e. adb shell can not find that folder, despite the fact that application has been installed.

Permission don't need to access to folder.
What did you get if you write this command inside adb :
Code:
adb devices
For sure the good adb command is :
Code:
adb shell pm grant com.feedone.launcherlite android.permission.READ_LOGS
