I have a SE X1 and I have on my WM6.1 an option for the alarm to let the alarm sound while the device is on vibrate or silent.
My colleague here has a TyTn2 and also WM6.1 (lower build nr) but he doesn't have this option.
Is this option settable through the registry ?

Try start/settings/system/Clock and Alarms/more and check the box for alarm when device set to vibrate.
No offense but did you even read the post fully ?
I know that option is there because I explained that I have that option but the TyTn2 doesn't, but it's still both WM6.1
So can u set it through a registry key ?

Hi,
I have the XDA Diamond with the standard O2 ROM (Germany) and a problem with the alarm clock. I didnt find a solution in this forum or the instructions of the device, so heres the problem: I can turn the alarm on and it works perfectly fine. But theres no option to turn it off except decrasing the volume till zero, but it doesnt ring at all after that (whats not very good when I fall asleep after this). The second thing is, that I am searching for some kind of snooze option, I had this option on all other alarm clocks on my previous cellphones. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot,
Hannes

Download this, an "upgraded" version of the diamond alarmclock, very easy-to-use, and many options to choose for snoozing, turning it off and such. I use it every morning

Well, are you sure there's no option ?
Touch the screen on the icon bar (top of the screen) when the alarm is on, select the alarm icon : you should have the alarm menu, with de-actiovation, snooze and all. And to have directly the notification, go parameters, sounds & notifications, notifications, select "reminders" in the dropdown menu and check "show message on screen" (or maybe that's not the actual text, my diamond is in french). And this has been answered many times, if it was your problem ^^

maybe you have this problem when the alarm box does not pop up even though you have selected onscreen notification?

Hi!
I have searched the forum, but I haven't found this...
So:
My alarm does work very badly, the sound does NOT repeat, the vibration does start only once and only when the phone is set to normal mode. All this depsite I have all these set to on:
"Sound alarms even when the device is set to silent or vibrate"
"Repeat sound"
"Vibrate".
I have ROMeOS 4.21.1.
Is there other solution than to use a third party application?
Thanks
i have the diamond but each time i would like to set an alarm i get a message telling me the alarm will not sound if the phone is set on silent, hence i am
just wondering if there are any alarm clocks for the touch diamond which will ring when set, even if the phone is on silent mode.
ideas anyone?
in silent mode the device can't play any sounds
the program you would need would have to change
the registry to force the device out of silent mode
to be able to make any souds
is this registry edit possible? i basically want it for use as an alarm clock in the mornings but i dont want to leave the phone able to ring if i were to get a call/txt while i sleep.
flight-mode accomplish that too without any 3th party software
This app should do waht you require...
Even the basic quick alarm with this application provides an audible alert when the phone is set to silent.
Check out G-Alarm
With the more complexed alarms with this app, one can set even the max volume of the alarm - so is independent to the WM volume control.
Hope this helps?
You don't need to do all that, just check the "sound alarms even if device is set to silent" box in the clocks/alarms menu. I put mine on silent every night when I go to sleep and the alarm wakes me up every morning, it goes off at the same volume that you last had the system volume set to before you switched it to silent.
cheers for the help people.
This might sound really stupid, but...can anybody tell me how to set my sound profile to "Automatic", so that it will turn to vibrate whenever I have an appointment?
I got used to TF3D, but now I'm trying a WM6.5 rom and couldn't find this option.
So I guess this option is a TF3D exclusive?
Final attempt?
after searching the forum, googling and trying many suggestions without success, a solution to resurrect the reminder and alarm is finally found (for my case).
Winmob 6.1
ROM version: 2.11.Gen.Y WWE (R4.4)
Radio: 1.09.25.23
I reproduced the problem as follows:
* go to settings > personal > sounds & notification. check that the selection "Programs" and "Notifications (alarms, reminders) are ticked
* set an appointment with reminder/alarm 3 minutes from now
* go to standby by pressing power button and wait 5 minutes. check whether alarm rings
* if no, go to setting > personal > sounds & notification and tick the "Events (warnings, system events)"
* recreate an appointment with reminder/alarm 3 minutes from now
* go to standby by pressing power button and wait 5 minutes. check whether alarm rings (it rang in my case)
In order to confirm that the problem is caused by the option "Events (warnings, system events)" you could again untick the option and test the alarm
My dear friend, I am writing only to say you a BIG THANK YOU! I was having problems with the notifications and hard reseted serveral times. I wasn´t able to discover which program was creating this conflict with the notifications alarm, but this simple suggestion solved my problem also.
Thanks!
T-mobile HD2 with stock ROM.
Hey,
I also had the problem with appointment reminders not working and I've found it's problem with the latest version of G-Alarm. First I thought it was problem with one rom, but I reflashed and again and the problem was still there. But when I didn't install the latest version of G-Alarm but the one before (before the redesign) the reminders work again like a charm.
