Hello everyone, i have a problem with QuickGPS app. It doesn't download the data anymore, no matter if it's on automatic or manual. I have tried through ActiveSync, WIFI, GPRS and nothing. It was working fine before, i don't know what happend (i haven't installed anything lately - except Opera Mini 4, but i don't really know if the problem happend before the install or not, i didn't mess with GPS Settings either).
I press download, it connects (sometimes i see the percentage for downloading) and then it says "Connection failed. Please try again later". Also i'm sure i had 5 more days from last download so the data shouldn't have expired yet (is after all 6d23h validity) and at Valid time says "Expired".
Any thoughts?
I had same problem in these few days, but, it worked again after wait few hours and retry. So, I suspect the server was not available. The server/service is probably hosted by htc.
Hmmm... so i can hope is a problem with the data posting site? Because i have this problem since yesterday morning
I just tried it & was successful. Maybe its fixed now.

The only thing that helped for me was a hard reset...
Hello,
I'm having trouble with the TouchFlo 3D Weather tab:
after a day or two of use, the weather won't update anymore, be it with GPRS, HSDPA, Wifi or whatever (connection works for other stuff)...
At the top right of the screen when you press on "Last Update", it just keeps saying "Updating..." forever and the ONLY solution I've found is to perform a soft reset...
After soft reset, there is no problem anymore for updating...
I thought it was a one-time bug but it has happened twice now...
Is anyone facing the same problem?
My version of TouchFlo 3D is 1.0.1630.15
Thanks!
I have the exact same problem. Did you find any solution?
Not yet...
I have the same issue.
Seems to be the only thing that is not working
Click on updating
I noticed the same thing, it was written "updating" and nothing happened...then I clicked on it ( "Updating") and it refreshed the weather...maybe a bug happen when it tries to make the GPRS connection up and then does not do the refresh automatically after...so clicking just
start the process again...does this work for you?

Which rom do you have?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324111&postcount=102
After you mentioned that it was the Proxy, i have checked on WiFi and it updates normally.
Being O2 prepaid customer i have a proxy for my GPRS.
Is there a way to force weather to run through a proxy?
Cheers
Steve
I don't have a proxy so it wasn't the cause in my case... I have solved it in upgrading the ROM. Now my version of TouchFlo 3D is 1.0.1630.23 and I don't have this problem anymore.
I had the same problem with SnapVue on the Shift, so I don't think it is a Diamond issue, more a weather app s/w issue
Thank you for all the tips! This forum is really a great tool for noobs like me.
For me, in order to get it to work, I removed the old gprs-settings (Swedish Telia) and then manually entered the information, then it worked! I was a proxy.setting problem for me, but when I only removed the proxy it still didnĀ“t work. I then deleted the setting and removed the auto-config-option and entered the settings manually.
Maybe that will work for those of you who still have the problem...
Bump!
Got the same problem as well. It worked fine until yesterday on my carrier's GPRS connection (via proxy). Now it only updates via the WiFi connection - I get an error on GPRS. Web navigation on GPRS works fine, though.
/bump. Does anyone have any ideas?
bump.
need an answer to this as well. My weather tab suddenly stopped working, giving me an error. However my stocks tab, email, web surfing still works over edge/3g, what is wrong with the weather tab???
ive tried soft reset/reflash to different roms/manually inputting my internet setting but i still get this problem? Weather tab in the roms i flashed before worked, but doesnt anymore, so it is definitely not a rom issue, but a device issue, help!!!
bump for an answer
I recently started getting a pop up message at the bottom of my screen stating: "Can not download at this time. Please try again later." The message stays there for hours at a time and then will randomly disappear. I am not trying to download anything when it appears and I haven't been able to find a solution to get ride of the message that blocks the bottom part of my screen.
Is anyone else having this issue? It only started 2 days ago.
Same deal here and also I cannot data connect, I haven't done anything new these past two days so I hope some one knows
i've gotten that message too. the only way i could get rid of it was to restart the phone. no idea how it showed up
I was getting the same issue. I tried ending the SNS service and it stopped. It's probably from syncing to social networks.
awkwardsilence50: I tried disabling the SNS Service and it didn't seem to make a difference for me. I also don't have any social networking services syncing on my phone. Has this fix continued to work for you?
did you guys try updating? maybe it's trying to update but can't...
I have been getting this error as well. Based on my personal experience, it seems to be related to the "Weather & Toggle Widget" by Android Apps. I seem to always get that message when I have a bad network connection and that widget tries to update location and weather data. I have unistalled the widget and reinstalled it a couple times, and I only seem to get that message when I have the widget installed. MP13, I happen to know that you have that widget installed as well.

Hi guys. I am facing an issue with my AT&T Galaxy Note 3 , ever since I updated it to Android 5.0 . After the upgrade , everything was fine for a few days. The update was taken OTA. Since the past 2-4 days , I see that the contacts on my phone would , at random times , totally disappear. My contacts are synced with my google account , so I immediately went into the sync settings and see that "sync is facing an error" specifically with the contacts.
Restarting the device does no good. After a few hours the contacts would reappear on their own. I backed up the contacts to the internal sdcard as soon as they came back , and the file was saved in the usual .vcf format. When they disappeared again , I tried restoring them manually be reloading the vcf file and I get an error "failed to read vcard" . Surprisingly , when the contacts were back on their own , I tried restoring via vcf again and this time it worked fine.
I have also tried clearing the cache and data from the "contacts" app in the application manager , but nothing seems to work. This is an issue that I have never faced before and I am seeking help on this absurd issue. I am unable to figure out what could be causing this , so please help!

Not sure if it will work, but try deleting your Google account, wiping the caches and data for contacts, reboot, and add the account back. Back up with an app from play store first tho for safe keeping.
@pre4speed - I tried that as well. It worked immediately , and then the same issue appeared after a few hours

I am having the same problem. [5.0.1 At&t Note 4]
Did anyone find a solution?
Same probkem with Note3 running 5.0., tho a restart gets the contacts back...
I disabled the at&t messages app and it seems to have solved the problem, for now at least.
I have the same problem, too.
I have the same problem with my ACE 3. I checked my google account on the laptop and all my contacts are there, I exported them into a the laptop then copied the file to my SdCard; tried in so many ways to import it, and it just fails every time!!!! I am getting really frustrated of this! Rebooting changes nothing at all; I tried to clear cache and data for Contacts and Contacts storage apps (I am really afraid to regret this later on) but still nothing worked! Help guys!
I have the same issue on my Note Edge. I have tried factory reset and still no luck. I have found a rather crappy work around when they disappear.
1) Goto Application Manager under ALL and clear storage for the Google Contact Sync
2) End all Apps by pressing on the home key and selecting the little icon in the lower left and end all
3) Start contacts app and it will begin to resync the data.
I am experiencing the same issue. Samsung phone with T-Mobile service.
Hi Guys,
After searching over the internet and not finding a solution, I come to the gurus to see if I can have some help...
Today I checked the status of my watch apps and saw that some of them were asking for update (android wear / maps / google).
Afterwards I tried to update and it keeps saying "unable to update".
Has anyone faced the same issue? Any advice?
Thanks!
