Hi guys.
I'd like to modify my dialer a little. Not the images but the size and position of some of the buttons and the calls list. Could someone help me by pointing me in the right direction?

You can't modify the size and position of the buttons. But you can change the style of them. Here's the list of the images you can edit. Keep in mind that you can't change the text-colour and the font of the buttons.

i'm stuck.
been googling for an hour with no answers. i'm completely clueless as to how acer ui was able to come up with this bottom bar, esp the glow they use to outline the icons.
help MUCH appreciated.
It disables the default bottom bar and uses it's own instead, so you can't get it in other apps.

Yeah, the top bar is still normal, just the bottom bar gets replaced. Or what do you mean ?

cache520 i've not used infinitetoday before but gather that it only works for the today home screen, but correct me if i'm wrong.
Not possible to get it as the default bottom bar, unfortunately. If you have WM 6.5.1/6.5.3, you can search for a GreeNeon theme, it also has toolbar buttons with a glow.

A Chinese app? Are you Chinese? I have Chinese origins and can speak and write it pretty well .

btw is there any tutorials on skinning for 6.5.3? i know there's one for 6.5 somewhere but i'm sure there's improvements in 6.5.3....

Will certainly make some when I get time .
Im having a problem theming pop up background colors. For example if you hot the menu button in the browser, you get new windows bookmark etc... the background I have for that is black with white text. However if I hit the more option? It brings up a new pop up menu with the same blavk background but now the text is black and I can't see it.
So my question is what file is it to change that background and where or where is the. Xml file to change that font color to white? Thanks!

Thanks, but I didn't find what I was looking for in that topic.
I'm pretty sure that's either in resources.arsc or services.jar in system/framework/framework-res.apk...I can't remember what sub folder it was maybe values/styles...you will have to decompile them using apktool or some other tool that uses smali /baksmali ... hope this points you in the right direction.

I'm searching for the same.
Today I simply tried to adjust the dpi in "build.prop" from 480dpi of Phone-Mode to 200dpi of Tablet-Mode.
But now everything is in Tablet-Mode - logically.
Now we have to adjust some file, that Android is still in Phone-Mode except the Status- and Navbar, right?
And how we are able to enlarge the Stat-Navbar? It's really undersized at 200dpi on my Xperia Z.
in the attachments you're able to see, how it looks like, if I only adjust the build.prop file.
Can someone help us?

I'll try it tomorrow, since I have more time then.
I think, you mean with height the navigation_bar_height in dimens.xml?
I'll try to increase it to 116 dpi, 'cause now it's 48dpi on 480dpi in Build.prop. If I'm not mistaken, it's logically that I'm divided 480 with 200, 'cause TabletUI is at 200dpi.
Then I only have to multiply the value of navigation_bar_height with the factor from the calculation below, right?

That comes from resources, and will affect the top bar in multiple apps
Should be common_app_bkg_top_src.r.9 in com.htc.resources.apk

can anyone help me to get rid of the clock on the lockscreen? I don't want a big ass clock there!!! just a regular clock on the statusbar would be good enough. I just wanna have the Lockscreen to my wallaper.
For any help/advice/tips on how to achieve this I would be very grateful. I hope I don't have to decomplie systemui or anything.... maybe thru the new themes function? I saw they can change the font color and so on... maybe setting it to 100% transparency?
with help of a xposed module called Costum Text I was able to get rid of the text at the bottom saying something like swipe to unlock! U know my s6 is set to german and in german the swipe to unlock text is like 2 full sentences!!! Who needs that? like WTF? as if someone after using his phone for 5 minutes hasn't already figured out how to unlock his phone!!! am i the only one who thinks that about the text @ the bottom?

Haha, luckily for you. I created a small app using tasker to disable the wallpaper and clock and enable it if like. but you need root.
Just unzip the file and install the apk within.
EDIT: Please explain more on how to use custom text to disable " swipe screen to unlock "?

So u just install costum text and choose the app u want to change the text for in this case it's systemui. There u will be presented with bubbles where u can put in the original text that u want to change. Fox example u put in Swipe screen to unlock it has to be 1:1 like Swipe not swipe. And then u just put a blank space in the new text field if u want it to disappear, otherwise u can also put anything u want. Everything to take effect u click on the three dots in the right top corner and select Relaunch App and that's it! I also got rid of plug in text.....

Ecall is by law suppose to be there so no. but i can remove the camera...

I've read before that phone is there by law, but I hoped it was not for the international.
Thanks for the "ex-camera" link anyway. It is a start and I'll give it a try first thing tommorow.

Wow so glad I opened this thread! So the only thing that's left is the Phone Icon but i think that can be solved by setting the transparency to 100% of that Icon which should be in systemui or the systemui theme apk... I will have a look at this in few days I need access to a windows machine and I hope samsung uses .png's and not this qmg shiz.... the shortcut will be still intact but at least not visible which is still good enough for me.

Hahaha, very good idea. I hope you succeed because i use themes on my phone. And previously lollipop v5.0.2 I was able to take out the qmg from the theme\lock-1\base.apk and convert to png, make it transparent and put back the png into the apk without decompiling. That work, camera and ecall was transparent. Now if i try it with the new themes on lollipop 5.1.1 the apk fails toe work and the default theme is loaded.
So yes, if you can change the systemui for lock screen then it would be superb..:good:
But i am glad to help.
