You have the STOCK CONSUMER SPL. 0.95.0000
You do NOT want the DEATHSPL. It offers NO BENEFIT AT ALL.
You want the stock ADP1 SPL. 0.95.3000 -- it allows you to do everything and is universally compatible with IPLs/Radios.
Search the DEV forum for the huge long SPL thread.

Expanded /system/ and /data/ partitions aren't a benefit at all right?

No, they are not.
Because you can put your data anywhere on any of the partitions.
Something that you windoze people just don't seem to grasp easily... the SYMLINK. You can put your files ANYWHERE on ANY mounted filesystem and just SYMLINK to them, and it is as if they were in BOTH PLACES AT ONCE!
No I understand, but it is easier for people who don't want to or else it wouldn't be the de facto standard.

well you see information is a little vague. are you trying to root or are trying to partition an sd card? there is a recovery image that can do it for you? and are wanting just and ext or swap as well?

im trying to partition, i already have root on my phone
to be honest im just trying to fallow what the guide is saying. Im a noob when it comes to this. the guide says i have to partition when it comes to placing a custom rom to your phone.
go to this link and grab this recovery image, follow the instructions on how to flash it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566669
then with this new recovery, there is an auto partioning command
hit that voila
thanks for helping me out
no problem, the wrecking crew needs to be helpfull every once in a while instead of just hijacking threads all the time

please help my
my phone is stopped
The bootloader you have does not support fastboot flashing (only wiping) so you need to flash the orange.nbh then use fastboot to flash new recovery, then new radio, then new spl, then boot to recovery and flash rom
If you can still boot into rom right now then flash recovery via terminal if you can't then do the above

Well click the "Thanks" button under demkantor's post then, I always see him putting up with helping n00bs around the G1 Q&A forum, but he never gets any thanks in return.
I find myself with a 10min here and 10min there of free time and I also am a smoker who only smokes out doors, this gives me many times throughout the day of a few minets with nothing really to do. I tend to occupy this time helping on internet forums or catching up on news.
I don't expect thanks for my help really as I don't help for building up my thanks stats, I appreciate knowing I have helped someone just as I appreciate all the people who have helped me over the years, anyway, cigg is done, thanks for all your help too htcdreamon!

This is not an urgent question, but I couldn't find anything on it in the threads, so I thought I'd ask. In bootloader, in the top line of the info. at the end it says RH. What does RH mean? And if I were to change it, what would happen? Thanks.
-Mike
I was just searching for the same argument. Asking what is RH near S-ON in bootloader.

In some htc bootloaders, there is ''RL'' instead of ''RH''. So what does RL mean ...

Yeah that will work, because what the hex edited version of the hboot does, is it tricks the device into thinking the hboot is S-ON, even though it is actually S-OFF. So unless someone was trying to figure out the S-ON state, they would never know just by looking at the bootloader screen. And to answer your question, yes this will remove the disclaimer bs when you turn on your phone.in other words, it will make it seem as though your device is stock -minus the rom you have-. Hope that helps!

If your phone is S-ON then there is no RUU you can use.
What happened exactly to your phone? You can't boot to the OS? Does fastboot works? Any custom recovery installed?

ok, that's not a lot of information. I can help you maybe if you give me some more informations about what happend, what you did before the phone bricked. And you can't just simply RUU without SOFF (as the other guy said). You might want to look there in order to get an idea what you can/can't do with a specific state of your device:
