Sense UI Theme questions - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

Hi all,
I'm trying to port a theme over from a 1.5 rom to my Villain ROM.
I have successfully ported it... and it's working.
However, when I load up the rom for the first time, I can no longer select any of the HTC widgets.
Is the alteration of rosie.apk's files messing with the widgets?
ie - do the widgets look in rosie.apk for some of their buttons?
Thanks - I have spent very little time inside rosie (no pun intended)

Nevermind. I fixed it.
Thanks anyway!

I wanna start off by thanking Jf, haykuro, The whole community and mostly Cy for pushin the limits and still not givin up when all looks dead, Stericson for all the great tutorials and work he's done, Manup and all the great themers for the inspiration to learn how to theme im still not great but im working on it. Ok now that the mushy stuff is out the way this theme is for CM 4.0.4 Stable and Cm 4.1.11.1 experimental ONLY!! ill update as i can if u don't like it don't use it no one is forcing u to download this Im not a dev i just do this in my spare time for fun i figured i would share. If you don't like the mini me hero clock then u can use the great app by crotalusfreak in the market se hero clocks im sure u all know about it but for anyone that doesn't its a great app. Updated to cm 4.1.11.1 its not exactly the same but as close as i can get for now. I forgot to thank ohsaka for color change.jar its amazing and thanks to david1171 for supplying me with the experimental template.
Posted in this forum by request make sure you use this for the rom u are currently running.
Updated 10/7/2009 with stericsons lockscreen a couple fixes and blur animations for 4.1.11.1 ONLY!! will update to 4.1.999 tom when i get a chance. i know its a lil late but my computer crashed and i lost all my original files and image editing stuff better late then never tho. This update is not a full theme and MUST!! be flashed on top of the original 4.1.11.1 theme for now will be full theme next update.
Updated 10/11/2009 4.1.999, few fixes, stericsons lock screen working on version without should be up shortly, Advanced launcher, Blur Animations, works for 4.1.999. Thanks to moonspoon for his clock minute hand from gchrome and to drizzy for the blur animations

If you like the color blue this theme is sweet. Works great on 32B!
this is too tasty for my own good....

[Theme] DroidX Red "Blury Nightmare" Beta

Ok, so over the past week I have been teaching myself how to metamorph.
As most people who have used my themes before know, I love motoblur.
Its not over the top, Pretty and simple, and I like the vibrant reds.
So using my mad metamorph skills and my awesome eye for themes, I put together a complete Droid X theme.
This is pretty much done, but still in beta as there are some kinks I haven't flattened out yet, e.g. the 'Send' Button in messaging (can't see text)
Compatible Devices:
Tested and working:
-G1
-Mytouch 3G
Might Work if you find a suitable rom:
-Samsung Galaxy (I7500)
-Samsung Galaxy Spica
-Samsung Behold
-LG GW620
-HTC Hero
-HTC Legend
-Mytouch 3G slide
-Acer Betouch E400
(I'm really not sure about these devices)
This should be fine if you have one of the above devices, and are running a vanilla build of android 2.1 (No sense UI here, folks.)
"Vanilla" Means stock android, How its supposed to be without manufacturers custom user interfaces on top.
I personally use Cyanogen Mod, but you could also use Open Eclair, Super E or any other android 2.1 rom for that matter.
Installing:
I have put together a simple metamorph zip that you can open and apply on your phone using the metamorph app (download off the market)
If you like to get dirty, you can push the framework-res.apk that i have attached down below
-------------
If you like the icons in the launcher, just download the "Droid X ADW Theme" from the market -It's free.
Any questions? Just ask.
Enjoy it!
Thank You~~
would you be so kind as to list the commands for pushing the framework i wanna get use to doing stuff threw commands so im using my test g1 thanks in advance
To make it easier for people you should include the cmparts_ui.xml in the metamorph so they can apply it after using theme theme.
Just add it in a folder in the metamorph called "sdcard and put this in the metamorph (I would do it before the framework-res)
<item>sdcard.cpy</item>
<path>/sdcard/</path>

could you port this theme to froyo vanilla?

[Theme] GingerFroyo v2.4 (2.3 stock theme for All CM6.1 Based ROM's) UPDATED 23-12

Nandroid first! I am not responsible for nuclear war, the price of housing or your phone.
Please Read the whole of this post before asking a question, it may have already been answered
This started as a personal project to get my phone looking like the latest version of Google's OS as I knew it was a slim chace we would get the real thing, and because I wanted to learn a little more about how Android works. There was quite a lot of people showing interest in it, so I decided to post my work for everyone to use on thier Hero's. It has now transformed into somthing alot bigger than I ever expected. There is a lot of community work included in this theme, and I want to say thanks to a few people for thier contributions in either content or testing:
krispijn_s, Studjuice, Kullt, Calico5, LTourist, nmeuret, ximmox
Massive thanks to you all!
Screenshot Gallery
Screenshots are available at the gallery below:
http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/7794007/3/Android/Screenshots/Gingerbread Theme?h=ee6807
Installation steps:
Step 1: Download all four zip files, and put 'GingerFroyo-v2.2-signed' and your choice of keyboard on the root of your SDCard.
Step 2: Reboot to recovery and flash both updates (order doesn't matter)
Step 3: Boot up your phone and apply the XML file via "Settings > Cyanogen / Villain Settings > User Interface > Tweaks Extras > Select a theme > Gingerbread"
Step 4: Extract the files from 'GingerFroyo-Additional-Files' for dock icons and wallpaper to complete the look!
Confirmed working on the following Devices / ROMs
HTC Hero: CM6.1.0, FroydVillain 1.7.0 - 1.7.2, Elinux 2.2.1 Final Android Stock, Floyo 1.2.0 (you will need to flash his 'CM Untouched Theme' first!!)
HTC Magic: CM6.1.0
Droid Eris: Tazz Vanilla, FroShedYo.V8
Droid Incredible: CM6.1.0
Motorola Droid: CM6.1.0

Hey dude, I just made a metamorph for the Hero with these things resized (I used the HDPI versions in the SDK as source).
Here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9658192
Feel free to use em.
Ps. I haven't figured out the whole menu text colour thing either (prolly one of the xmls in drawable), so I kept the original menu_background.
Exactly what i was gonna do tomorrow! Looks like you beat md to it. If i work out how to change the text in the menu and the pulldown notification i'll let you know as your metamorph is alot.more flexible then my method. Feel free to us the bits for LP and keyboard in your post, if yours works on Froyd i will close my post and point it to yours, no sense in maintaing two versions!

i would say add dsp, and attempt to completely desprint it. for mods, if you wanted to attempt to make mods for different dialers(im particular to nils dialer) maybe different music apps(miui, vanilla) and maybe different icons or even attempt at lockscreens. the sky is the limit
Nice Looking ROM OP! Planning To Try It Out Later Today, Just One Thing Tho. Try Keeping It Stock As Much As Possible! I Like The Idea Of Having Sense 2.1 On My Droid Incredible Sense 3.5 Slows My Phone Down Way To Much.

Agreed. deSprint it and love the Sense 2.1
dev for this phone running nearly two years strong. Sense 2.1 is pretty slick
Cool we got another Sense 2.1 rom! I've always found these to have the features I want over Sense 1.0 roms while being a bit faster than Sense 3.x roms.
Things you might want to consider adding later in the game:
-Flashlight toggle to quicksettings
-screenshot to PWR+Home
Sorry
I just realized I made a mistake. This is Sense 1.0 (Sorry, I uploaded this at like 4AM this morning so I'm a little out of it). I apologize to anyone to was excited that this was Sense 2.1.
If I have time, I will try to make a Sense 2.1 version for you all.
My bad...
can anyone mirror this please, the download link is down, wanted to give 1.0 sense a run again! thankss!
I don't even have this ROM on my computer anymore so if anyone can upload it as a mirror, that would be great. In the mean time, you can try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399512
It's micromod's port of the EVO Classic, which is a great Sense 1.0 ROM to say the least.
Thankyou Puremotive for a quick reply, much appreciated.
