Unable to get newly installed Titanium Plugins to show - Windows Mobile Themes

I have the HTC PPC6800 with Ryan Moguls Windows Mobile 6.5 Heavy ROM installed. I am having issues with getting any Non-factory Titanium Plugins to show on the home screen. They show in CHome editor and I activated them but after starting Titanium the new plugins don't show. I followed all the install instructions for the Titanium Plugins. Can anyone give me any pointers as to what I am doing wrong? From what I can tell I can get the ones to show that seem to be originals, like the CHomeFavs will show when I activate it. Can someone please point out what I might be doing wrong. ~Thanks

Does anyone have any tips or clues as to what I am doing wrong? I can see them in the registry for the order they should show up in Titanium and believe the are in the xml file but they just won't show. Do I need a different Titanium theme? I've tried the basic ones and no go and then the ones that install other panels, got one of them to work but didn't like it and removed it but wanted to install it again and now the install fails. I think its time to do a hard reset and start from scratch! I hope someone around here has some ideas for me to try before I go that route.
I also discovered I can't get the camera to work with barcode programs...strange as the camera works fine!

ok are you using any titanium theme ????.... try to use default theme, not other themes... it should show up... when you install a plugin the cpr file of original titanium theme is updated but the cpr file of the themes are not updated and the plugin will not show .... so you can either edit the cpr of the theme or use the default cpr files.... cpr files are located in windows should be Titanium_***X***.cpr... the *** represents your screen resolution...

The Original Theme is a no go also, Default Blue, plus I tried all the other themes and none of them allow the newly installed plugins to show. I will look at the .cpr files to see what they show, maybe that will show whats going on. Google was able to figure it out as I installed their google app and it created a plugin/panel that shows on all the themes so I think something else is going on here, not sure what though.
Another note is that I got the camera to work with the barcode apps, I installed the Facebook app and that seemed to fix it. Must have been a driver issue and something must have gotten installed with it to interface with the camera.

Think I may have figured out what is going on with the cpr files. I have Titanium_240x320.cpr and TitaniumExtended_240x320. Upon viewing the files on my PC I noticed the one that my phone is using is the TitaniumExtended_240x320 because it has the google plugin and no extras that I have installed and the Titanium_240x320 has all the Titanium Plugins I have installed and edited with chome editor but it does not have the google one. How can I get my phone to look at the original Titanium_240x320.cpr. I believe the TitaniumExtended_240x320 was cooked into RyanMogul's ROM I am using. I assume its a registry change. Can anyone point me in the right direction as this has to be a simple change.
I guess I could just manually edit them but I am not super familiar with editing .cpr files. I know to make a backup of the original ones but I want to include the google one plus all the other Titanium Plugins I have installed.
Please someone help me out here.

if you want to know, what titanium template you are using, take a look at this reg key
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome]
"ExtensibilityXML"="<Plugins Order="CAppointments;CHomeFavs;CMyPhotos;CMusic;CClock;CWelcomeCenter;CPhone;CVoicemail;CText;CEmail;CWindowsLive" CPRFileName="Titanium" DisplayStyle="Titanium" />"
the Titanium today plugin reads the plugin order, then the cprfilename you should check - the patter is like this:
"cprfile"_"resh"x"resv".cpr
Titanium_480x800.cpr
Displaystyle is Titanium afaik, there should be also Bronze possible like with Smartphones, but haven't tried this yet..

As mentioned in the post above, this string tells WM which cpr to take, so when you check your string it should mention your titanium extended. Just change it to Titanium, restart Titanium and it should show all installed plugins.

Removing some not needed HTC Extras

As always, another newb question. If there is a thread for this already, please let me know.
I need some more space for software. Mainly because I need for these to start on every boot and are today add ins. How can I remove some HTC extras I don´t need? For example:
1. The audio manager which I don´t like at all
2. The voice dial feature which I never used because I´m more into voice Command.
3. The Zip program which I replaced with Resco explorer
4. The old home pluggin which I replaced with Battery Status.
5. The Dialer skin which I replaced with the original WM6, which I consider better.
If I have to do this manually, its fine, I just need to know where to go and what to get rid of.
Thanks Guys.
Not too sure
I'm not too sure if this would work, but if you could find cab files of the programs you want to remove, and install them (stay with me) I would guess it would overwrie the files, and also allow you to remove them from the add/remove programs window under settings. I know for me, that worked when I updated Live Search from 1.0 to 2.0 and then deleted it. Give it a shot, what do you have to lose?
It could
It does sound reasonable. The question would be where to get these cab files. Anybody know where?
Though there is a strong posibility it won´t work. Some of these programs are upgrades. For example, I installed the new x button feature I found here as an upgrade. When I uninstalled the upgrade, it automatically returned to the old version. I tried it because I wanted SPB pocket plus to be my close button software. Tried it too with the Audio Manger installing the upgrade found here and the same happened.
Thanks.
1. to 4 are in ROM, you carn't just delete it.
5. Delete reg keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PhoneCanvas & set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled=0, it should then return to the default windows mobile dialer. This file has a backup of the key just in case you want to restore it.
You can remove 1 - 4 if you cook your own rom, have a search in the forums.

Uninstalling Opera 9.5 beta

How do you uninstall Opera 9.5? It doesn't appear on remove programs. Also it is now my default browser and there's no way to turn that off.
I'll see what I can find. In the meantime, should you ever want to install Opera 9.5 Beta in the future (after you flash a ROM for example), you should use Chanifire .cab here. As this allows you to uninstall it via "remove programs"
File Chanifire.cab not found, I have the same problem. There is someone that have unistall Opera Mobile 9.5 beta?
there was 2 versions
one where you cannot uninstall
one where you can
-both in the same opera 9.5 thread in develpment and hacking
but all u have to do is delete the opera files in windows folder(2) and go to appdata and delete that. There may be a few reg entries changed but nothing to worry about :]
I removed it by searching for opera after synchronization with the computer in the PDA windows - 4 files were found - these were deleted
How do you get into Setup on Opera9
Does anyone know how to get into the setup for Opera 9 - I somehow did it one time and now cannot figure out how.
I so far like this browser - way better than the mini! What is needed is for someone to tweak the chooser script and substitute mini for this one and that way we can choose between ie and O9 when a link is clicked.
There a a ton of files & registry entries you must delete manually.
I kinda like opera, (it's really 9.33 btw) but I hate how it hijacks html, htm, xml, etc...
What I did was use my latest sprite back up & did a partial restore. What you do is launch sprite, select restore, select the most recent backup file, uncheck everything *except the one check box for system settings located in the system data tab. Then restore only that infomation.
This will reset your recent registry & file association setting only. It will leave your programs & other data intact.
Then if you want to uninstall you only have to delete the 2 opera file in \Windows & the \Application Data\Opera9 files.
If you just delete these files you will have problems with file associations & that is a bit more difficult to fix unless you know the correct Executable & image files to point to.

This would only require a modification of the Mortscript file used for Opera mini.

Okay, & now go open an xml or html file
I know that the mortscript needs to be changed.
My main question is how do you get into the setup for Opera 9 - does anyone know the way?
What do you mean by "setup"???
Are you talking about the direction as to where files & registry changes are made? Then Try Below:
If you're talking about regular Settings then you touch the lower right part of the screen, Press the arrow that pops up then scroll to settings.
ALSO: you can open up any of the .ini files located in \Application Data\Opera9\xxxx (xxx= any of the folders beyond) using notepad or with Resco's internal viewer. They can also be modified using your desktop notepad.
I figured it out, thanks - the problem is that on my Tilt, in Portrait mode the icon for setup is missing due to the large size of the icons on the bottom.
I was in landscape mode when I got it to work .
For now, I am using netfront 3.5 - not as nice looking but works better overall.
I am on the waiting list to try skyfire.
I feel like I should just go on vacation for a couple months (or sleep) and when I wakeup all these problems (drivers etc, better iphone like interface) will be solved!!
Does anyone know where we can make a formal complaint to opera about its hijacking our file associations? I refuse to use this software anymore until I know this will not happen. It has made for a long night of reg edits that didn't really get me anywhere. After manually configuring pie to be my default browser I still couldn't open .htm files by clickin' on the in my file browser, had to backup to yesterdays settings and I change many things on a daily basis, Well restoring settings is finished I have allot of work to redo...

It's a leaked version. They even warned you.
This is not 9.5 beta please change the title.
Has anyone figured out how to restore file associations after installing this FUC... ****?
Thanks
How can be removed this version. I manage now to use version 8.65 but how can I regain those 8mb without hardreset?
BTW, I found that not too many people know or remember this, but you can type "Opera:Config" into the address bar to get into the advanced setup features for Opera.

Hi,
Where can I find uninstallable version?
BR
Asaf
So just deleting the files will do it? If I don't fix the registry will it ruin it? Which cabs are uninstallable?

Making My Own Theme Multiple Questions??? & Plenty of Headaches!!!

I have been trying to make my own theme for the past 48hrs with no success, and it's really frustrating me I started with manila editor which gave me an error everytime i tried to replace one of the manila files with multiple icons i downloaded. I then ran into another editor cfc which has allowed me to at least change the icons but i still really dont understand some of the icons that are included with manila (totally different story)...Back to my issues I would like to know if someone can guide me on making my theme into a .theme file extension because i like to use diamond config tool it just makes everything so much easier. Also i've seen where a cab file will not uninstall and i dont want to have to hard reset just to change my theme.
Also I would love to know how to create my own clock because i'm trying to cook this whole allen iverson theme and i think maybe a custom clock best suits the theme i'm going for so i would probably need to learn how to make the clocks also.
I know it sounds like alot but i really need to get this started so any and all help, tips, tricks would be greatly appreciated.

I think to make a theme into .theme format, just zip all your files and then rename the extention from .zip to .theme. If you take all your manila files from standard tf3d from your phone and save to pc, then you will always have a backup to install instead of a hard reset when you have cab install troubles. That way you can overwrite any files cab installed. To create your own clock, when you look in editor you will see a tab stack and a tab single for clock backgrounds, alarm, and am/pm. Tab stack is the back background and tab single is the front background(clock background is two layers for flip effect). If you want to change digits, you will see the digits grouped , like 012, 345, 678, 9. Change images in your favorite image editor(like photoshop or gimp). For actually changing images/manila files, I use all three editors available depending on what I'm doing. There's Manila Editor, Chainfire's CFC GUI, and 6Fg8's M9Editor. Always keep a backup copy of any files you change, just in case

EMail & Messaging Icons don't work

Today my email and messaging icons stopped working. I am running AT&T 6.1. I use HTC Home Customizer. After trying lots of settings and both power down and soft resets, I bit the bullet and did a hard reset and restore from Sprite backup and HHC backup.
Negative results...when I select the email icon, it is outlined in white, but the email program does not open. I looked thru FILE EXPLORER and could not find any email folders.
I did a search here and got 51 pages of mostly unrelated threads.
Any help?
where the icons and email program there before the backup? If you made a backup from a corrupt device enviroment then the problem would be created after restore of course. Try searching for messaging.lnk with for example Resco Explorer or Total commander. Don't forget to enable show hidden files and rom/system files.
The icons were there before last backup and email was working. Matter of fact, I have an older backup that may work, and I will try that.
Well, All of my backups led to the same situation.
I could get email to work after doing another hard reset, and, instead of doing a restore, selectively installed individual apps. I have determined that HHC (HTC Home Customizer) was corrupted somehow.
Now I am in the process of completing the individual re-installs.
Sounds like you solved the problem
Maybe a newer version of HHC will not have this issue or a fresh installation of HHC will do the same.
I have re-installed HHC, version 1.0final (by emunutz)
I have searched and it is the latest I can find.
Regardless, the fresh install works just fine.
AND, a hint for anyone else, just how important it is to keep your storage card up to date. After doing the hard reset, and geting HHC loaded, it was a simple matter of reinstalling my .cab files from my SD card. I never save an app on my Tilt, always on my storage card.

Matrix Theme for Sense 2.1

First, I got the idea and some of the icons from skilty in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425176. Thanks to skilty.
Although I started with skilty's theme, I have pretty much redone all the icons. Not everything was covered in the Rhodium Manila so I needed to add several things. I scoured the internet for some of the other icons and assembled them here.
The first picture is the loading GIF after a reset. The second picture is the background. The third is some screen shots of the TF3D manila. The last picture is the phone dialer.
For the contacts, I have used the Matrix cell phone for the mobile device, the old fashioned phone (hard line) as the home phone, and a phone booth as the work phone.
There are icons for Manila Today Page and for the new Manila TV tab.
Before you do any overwriting of files, I would suggest copying all your manila files to a folder on your desktop in case you want to go back to the way things were before.
I've attached all the manila files in the New Matrix Manila zipped file. The dialer screen, background picture, and other files are in the other zipped file. You just need to copy the manila files onto your device and then use a program like total commander to copy them to your \windows\ directory. I haven't had much luck removing TF3D from today and then re-enabling it. I pretty much had to do a reset after copying the files.
I'm having trouble right now uploading the loading screen gif. I'll see if I can still upload it.
I hope some of you enjoy it! And I don't take any responsibility if anything happens to your phone. There shouldn't be a problem since it is only graphic files that are changing.
I almost forgot to include the Action Screen I created.
You first need to have this installed (I know it was already installed in the Eneregy Rom series 2 I am using). http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=58625
Then you need to copy the contents of the attachment into the \windows\actionscreen\ directory. I have changed one of the buttons to a 3G toggle instead of bluetooth since I never used that one.
Also there is a skin for psShutXP. Its only the image files, so I'm assuming you already have it installed on your PPC device.
Attached is a new action screen by Oz from here.
And finally I have attached a skin for xdashutdown developed here.
Enjoy.
Here is a skin for the power radio app, Resco Explorer, and s2u2. I've also uploaded the matrix background that you'll need for s2u2 background.
Do not understand why this theme was buried. It is soo nice. indeed.
Hi Guys!

First, do you have Sense 2.1 or the newer 2.5 installed. You should find the info under you device info in settings.
Also, I think I'm going to resurrect this theme so I can use the new CHTScheduler for the CHT Home Tab. So I'll be updating this for sense 2.5 in the coming weeks. You may want to hold on for that.
If you still want what's posted here, I'll throw together some cab files for you. Most of the stuff is manual install, meaning you have to copy all the files to your devices windows directory. Does any of that help?
Hi!
Thank you very, very much! I already took some parts of it (the background pictures) and i put it on my phone. It looks ...WOW...but i still want to install the whole theme.. Yes, i have the latestes Enegy Rom installed, with Sense 2.5...So i will look forward for your new theme (and, if is not to disturbing, the guide step by step how to install it - i undestood that i have to copy all the files to \Windows, but..this is it?? ).
