Random sim card missing error??? please help, I'm desperate!!!

Hi everyone... I bought a week ago a brand new Sony Xperia.
It was Vodafone braned but supposingly unlocked.
As I inserted my 3 UK sim-card for the first time the phone could not detect any simcard. After a few soft resets I decided to try with a Voafone card and it worked no problem, so I decided to try again my 3 sim-card and with joy this time everything worked to perfection.
After just a couple of days, all of a sudden the phone started losing the network and giving me a "sim card missing error"... this would happen every time I would activate the flight mode, or simply when the phone would lose signal for some reason... or even just randomly, for no reason. I've tried to flash different radios and different ROMs but the problem stays the same.
I know the sim card is ok as I was using it on an orange HTC touch diamond which I had unlocked and everything was working fine.
I have run the ATCommander and it says SIMLOCK=00 0 which I suppose it means the phone is unlocked...
It's as if the phone was randomly locking itself several times a day for no reason... and the only way to make it work is to soft-reset it about 10-15 times in a row... until it recognizes the sim card and then randomly stops working again a few hours later...
What can I do? Shall I just change operator? Has anyone experienced anything like this? Could 3UK and sony Xperia be incompatible?
Please help, I am desperate!!
sim card missing/no service
bro, i've had EXACTlY the same problem!!!
its due to simcard scratching by xperia housing design!
replaced my card and it worx a charm now, haven't had to double softreset yet, and before - it took 10-15 times before it got recognized- TRUST me - its the card, replace it - its free and should solve them pesky no service messages for u

[Q] HTC TyTN II SIM Card Problem

Problem Solved.
It appeared to be a hardware problem afterall. The problem was in the solders of the sim-card-holder.
I have the following problem with my Kaiser.
It happened for a second time.
First time was about an year ago...
Suddenly the phone stops to recognize my SIM Card. It says "Sim Card Missing".
When I put my SIM in another phone it works just fine.
When I put another SIM card in MY phone - it works too.
The only thing that does NOT work is MY Sim Card in MY phone .
Last time I tryed to change it for free by my operator, but there was the same situation - MY Sim Card worked in every phone in the operators shop, except mine and they said that I must pay for the new card. So I did and the new card works just fine since now.
First time my Kaiser was with the Stock Rom 6.0.
Now it is flashed with Stylez Black 6.1 Rom.
That`s why I don`t think the problem is ROM related...
Anybody have had the same problem ?!?!
Is there any way to fix it without paying for a new SIM card ?
Thanks in advance.
/sorry for my English /
It can be a flex problem, try to search "no sin card message" . There are many threads situaciĆ³n this issue.

[Q] Xperia Z3 Compact constantly restarting "sim card inserted" on lollipop.

[Q] Xperia Z3 Compact constantly restarting "sim card inserted" on lollipop.
Hi!
I have a problem with my xperia Z3 compact. I have flashed my phone to lollipop couple days ago and everything was OK, but yesterday suddenly the phone started restarting, then asking for pin code and after couple of seconds it says "sim card inserted, restarting" and restrts, getting hot aswell. Unfortunately i dont have any other nano-sim to check my phone with. So i flashed again with lollipop-restarts all the time for sim card. Flashed to KitKat-works 100% ok. Now what could it be? Could it be that i flashed lollipop with baltic version, but im using norwegian carrier?
thats strange.. I am on kit kat and today, THAT exactly happened to me once.. was after I changed flash intensity
Tried it today with another sim card-surprisingly everything was fine. How could that be that my sim card is not compatible with lollipop?

I have your problem with .726 lollipop firmware. Changing sim card is solution?
Yes it helped me, my old sim card was quite "old" in which i mean that it didnt had the ability to cut out nano sim-i had to do it manualy. Probably all operators are offering change of sim card for free or some sybolic fee.
I'm getting the same problem... but it's for a Z1 compact in which I don't have a sim card. I'm using it as a mp3 player. Everything went fine for months but now it keeps saying "sim card inserted, restarting" every 10 to 15 min. But that's the thing: there are no sim card in it and I haven't open that slot for months.
I factory reset the phone, it didn't help.

Samsung note 9 sim suddenly stopped working

Hi guys, I have my Samsung galaxy note 9 (N960U) with me. Few days back sim card suddenly stopped working. I tried everything but nothing was working, even I reset my device but sim card is not working in this phone. Can anyone help me in this regard. Help will be appreciated.
Did you try putting your sim card in another phone? If it work's in another phone, the problem is your phone otherwise maybe you have to contact your sim's company to replace the sim card that's probably damaged.
