Hi guys,
I've got a Samsung Intrepid with a 320x240 landscape screen. Because of the resolution, SPB mobile shell sets the toolbar on the right hand side of the screen.
Trouble is, I freakin' hate that. I'd gladly sacrifice some screen real estate to get that thing on the bottom.
Is there any way to mod the program to get that bar on the bottom? PLEASE, please say there is. I want my freakin' softkeys to line up!
Thanks,
Dan S.
Same issues
I am having the same issues can someone help with this? I have my toolbar on the right side and would like it on the bottom and my pictures that I try to set as my background are too large and zoom in on part of it. Any suggestions???
Anyone know how to flip the screen for the Samsung intrepid on SPB Mobile shell 3.5.5?
So that the taskbar is on the bottom and that the pictures fit the window as well.
Would ProPlus be a good place to go?

Is there a catch to making a skin for the Wizard WM5 that can use Smartdialing? I for one love the Smartdialing feature and find that it would be a little inconvenient. What I don't like are the buttons along the side of the default skin, that I never use) taking up all that valuable real estate. Is there a skin that will use Smartdialing and get rid of those buttons?

Check out the upgrading forum - there's a patched version of the smartdialing app that works with some skins. Last I looked at them, there was still some minor issues with overlaying text on some buttons, but that may have been resolved.
Hi I have made a fixed version of the black Vista Dial Pad for Smart Dial.
all the nasty "artifacts" are gone looks much better
You need to have eten dialpad installed then just copy these files into your \windows folder on your device.
Some files are in rom so you will need to copy them from your device using resco or total commander.
The main "dial screen" has a small light brown square in the top right corner, This is so that you can see the Headset icon if using a BT headset. If you don't like it I can post the plain version.
Enjoy.
All due credit to original artists I only modified their work.

Hi.
Here is my conversion of this wonderful greatbal's theme.
Nothing special, a now screen (classic analog and digital - professional is just analog-digital), a launcher, a 3x4 mru and a weather screen. No speed dial pages (I don't use them).
I included the profiles.dat to use with spb phone suite (also from greatbal) with my modifications for bluetooth, flight mode and wifi (you have to modify your profiles according to the icons).
Please don't ask for modifications, I won't do any because of lack of time.
Hope someone will like it.
Thanks both Greatbal & Goranaga for great work
got it on my old ipaq 6915, love it.
i have another question, on my new ipaq 914c, the screen res. 320x240, so 4 buttons: now, profile, mru & menu are on the right side of the screen, not at the bottom. how can i set them at the bottom like the 240x240 or the 240x320?
THANKS
great

I dont know if anyone has tried or thought about it.....But what if the TF3d scroll bar went Vertical on the side of the screen? I imagine donsdcorleone is referring to the way the contacts screen has the alphabet down the side.
I've created a skin for MortPlayer (Version 3.31 b76 onwards) that is inspired by the iPhone but deals with the small amount of screen space available on QVGA devices.
I started with ruebyi's S2P4 skin, so credit to him for his original skin.
Some of ruebyi's original graphics remain (thanks again to ruebyi - hope you don't mind), but the whole skin has been re-written to provide more dynamic interface features, such as:
Scrubber bar (tap track info at top to toggle on/off)
Full album cover view using glass controls (tap just above << || >> controls to toggle)
Play list editing (tap playlist name to edit, save or save as)
Better spacing of lists for improved finger control
The skin is implemented using 3 skin files (.MPS) the one to select from MortPlayer choose skin options is the TouchPlayer.mps, ignore the other two (TouchPlayer-part2.mps and TouchPlayer-part3.mps) these are used internally for the play list screens.
Install as normal by copying the .MPS and skin directory to the MortPlayer directory - note that it can't be operated in an .MPZ because it needs to load the part2 and part3 skins files and this doesn't work when in an .MPZ.
Some helpful hints for using the skin:
Tap the track/album info at the top to to show/hide the scrubber bar.
Tap just above the << || >> controls at the bottom to toggle between normal and transparent matte glass contrlols (better for full view of album covers)
Tap the playlist name to edit the playlist
Change the next track to currently selected track by tapping the next track on scrubber bar.
Slide left/right on cover to change prev/next track - good when in car.
Slide up/down on cover to change prev/next album/playlist.
Tap battery to exit/quit
Tap "Alarm off" at top left to set an alarm.
Tap'n'hold cover to access the MortPlayer menu
Few final notes:
it's for QVGA only, for larger resolutions devices the UI space issues are not a problem, hence the glass controls etc are not really required.
an update for WQVGA would be possible to better optimize for the taller screen, but I don't have a device WQVGA to do it with. Having said that the .MPS files just need playing with to move things up/down, anyone want to try?
its portrait only, because I never use landscape. It would be a lot of work to create a landscape view and very difficult to make a good looking full screen cover view...
Some improvements I plan:
I might change the [Playlist] button to be the same one used in the other screens, rather than a text button.
I'd like buttons for [Save] and [Save as] that are graphic and smaller, but can';t think what to use. I tried a floppy disk and didn't like it (who uses floppies anymore anyway?) amd then how to do save as...
I want to improve the alarm screen to be finger friendly (especially when you first wake up) - so big snooze, stop and cancel buttons I think, maybe in version 2...
For those of you who like crisp screenshots without JPG artifacts, see attached ZIP file
Please feel free to comment, criticise, suggest improvements, changes or any requests.
Enjoy!
Nice skin for good program(better, than these bs apps served on xdadev, for sure).
This is really a nice skin work for Mortplayer.
Thanks to you, my 2.5 years old Polaris/ Cruise is now bright and shine again.
Small thing, it crashes when the cover.jpg is too large. But I don't try to figure out is it from the skin or Mortplayer itself. Simply avoid this in the future.
Anyone interested in a WVGA version?
I've just upgraded from Tytn II to HD2. I'm not finding many WVGA skins out there and am contemplating creating a version of my TouchPlayer MortPlayer skin for WVGA.
Only problem is finding time, but during the xmas break I might have some spare time.
Would anyone else like this skin converted to WVGA? Anyone got some suggestions on layout since the HD2/WVGA screen is taller there won't be any need for buttons overlapping the cover.
Given the effort involved I'm tempted to create a totally new skin that will fit in with HTC Sense better but based on this skins design... but then again I like the simplicity of the i-phone layout...
Karl.

Yea cool skin and friendly! I had thought that the cover image was too big also, so i resized it for HTC Touch and others screens
it's raccomandable to use cover images 165x165 px
default skin cache
I've installed the latest Beta MortPlayer v3.31 b77 and found a great iPhone skin (found here). After selecting this skin, Mortplayer asks if you want to cache the current default skin for faster startup, to which I replied 'Yes'.
I've since made a change to one of the graphics within the .mpz file but MortPlayer appears to be continuing to use the cached version. I've tried selecting other skins then selecting this skin again in hopes it would reload the .mpz but with no success.
Does anyone know where this cache is located or how I can force MortPlayer to re-cache the updated skin?
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
So I'm one of those guys still living in the dark age of Windows Mobile Standard. I don't see many good themes posted for good ole non-touchscreen phones, so I thought I'de give it a shot.
Critiques are encouraged!
More information to come...
Requirements
Windows Mobile Standard 6.1 or 6.5
QVGA Landscape device
Installation
After unzipping, look at the folder names for instructions

i have broke my last smartphone a while ago (and now all my smartphones are died)
but imo your theme is perfect and nice... very cool text on screen (great chars, slim font)
i love the themes without useless icons ^^
maybe you could add a titanium slider (or only an underlined graphic to the active panel)
the page counter is a little "oldish" maybe you could redesign it and move to another position
and for least a thing (i think is impossible): make the long titles of panels sticking/sliding to read the whole text in it (e.g. in the calendar panel you could read only the first part of the appointment infos, if u get it orrizontal sliding you could read it all like the music info panels) but for me this is impossible
so now i haven't a device to test it, but i like, nice job! thanks to sharing

are you still living in the dark age of Windows Mobile Standard? i wish that times return for me
i miss my old winmo NONtouch... actually i hate to have to tap with my finger on these little display (e.g. i was texting on my htc wings 50sms/hour , now my frineds joke me cuz it seem that i cannot write in a correct italian language...)
non touchscreen are the best phones imo but actually they are lost in the old technologies limbo... and i doubt thay could come out again...

Thanks for the compliments!
I'm working on adding a titanium slider right now to see how it looks, but I designed it to not require a slider. Text on the currently selected panel is white and text on unselected panels is transparent.
I'm still trying to figure out what (if anything) I'm going to do with the page counter.
As for the long titles extending off the page... well that was sort of the goal. It was inspired by the Zune HD and Windows Phone 7 interface. 99% of the time it shows enough text for you to understand, and in the rare case you do need to see more you can always click it. I think horizontal scrolling/sliding for long text would be really cool, but I have no idea (yet) how to make that happen. If anyone know a way to do this, let me know.
i see...
the orizzontal sliding for the title is a "higher sky" and personally the cropped title text is cool
and i love the zunehd inspi.
apps and web apps panels are fantastic
(a suggestion, for the counterpage maybe you could remove the numbers and left only the arrows, white for the next page, transparent if no page avalaible)
all my compliments
I created a version with a slider. If any smartphone users make it in here and would like me to post it just let me know.
Hi gtg456x. I got a new touch phone recently because my contract for the BJ2 was up. I've always loved the performance of Sliding panel plugin, and I can't wait to try this theme. It looks uncluttered, so I think I can finally put some wallpapers that didn't used to work on the standard icon-filled theme. Thanks for sharing and for reviving my interest in the BJ2 phone
this is an awesome theme....it's too bad that I don't know how to apply anything that isn't a .cab file!
I know your probably thinking I'm stupid, but I have no idea of how to install this theme onto my blackjack 2. It looks so great, and I would really like to use it on a daily basis. Please Help!!!

I have install before the titanium panels?
With a black background and this theme is terrific. Almost Zune-esque. Thanks! Here's a screen
how to install a certain part?
can u please point me the way how to install the files that are in...
Optional images for link panels (you will have to create your own to match your links)
i have managed to install all the rest but need some help.
Now if you would port the landscape cpr to a portrait cpr, I would be happy, because I wouldn't have to do it myself (although I made myself a similar theme a couple of months ago, but I didn't release it to the public )...
like it about to put it on my jack

Looks like you forgot to install the font though.
Wasn't expecting this thread to get revived. Shouldn't be too hard to make it into a cab file for those who are having trouble.
blee
i know you should had posted this in the windowsmobile standard section you would had got so many people here instead of windowsmobile touch screen section .Its mostly a touch screen section then for both touch and type of phones.
